Welcome, salvete, et deos ave! My name is Finnely Beaumont, though you are free to call me Fin, or Beau if you so choose! I am a 22 year old witch with an affinity for the Latin language, strong roots in Roman Paganism; as well as newly branching roots to Slavic paganism.Â
This blog is serving me as my public documentation of my journey through spirituality, simply because I thought it would be fun to see how much I will grow in the future. Currently I enjoy reading tarot, doing pendulum readings, as well as making sigils and writing my own spells and whatnots. I ward my space on the regular, and I also love to incorporate my craft into edible things! I guess in that sense you can call me a kitchen witch; though I donât really enjoy labeling my craft right now.
My craft is something that is very important to me; as is my own peace, and mental clarity. There may be times where I take a hiatus, and then there may be times where I post multiple times in a day. Generally speaking, Iâll try to post maybe once or twice a week to start. I donât want to overwhelm myself with the feeling that I have to post something, you know?
There is no DNI list that I can speak to, just donât be a jerk; and Iâm going to keep anonymous asks off for this reason. If you have something to say; say it with your chest.Â
And, hopefully that will be helpful to those whoâre shier than others become a little more confident in themselves.
Anyways, I hope you all have the day you all deserve, and I canât wait to hear from everyone!
i think going into witchcraft with the idea that you're not going to be good at everything is a good mindset to have. it let's you try out different things without the weighing preasure of being perfect.
and if you never get the hang of something? that's okay <3
you don't need to know and be great at everything to be a good practitioner.
i'd class myself as a pretty powerful pratictioner. i've studied witchcraft for nearly 10 years and i think i excel at herbs and oil making. however - ask me for a tarot reading? i promise you i'd crumble hahaha :)
Let's look at it this way; if you knew everything there is and will be to know about the craftâwould you still want to practice it?
If you were able to look at a book, and know every little intricate detail that the author had painstakingly put into their work, and knew exactly how the book endedâwould you still immerse yourself in the process of reading it?
I feel that the majority of us would answer "no" for the book portion at least!! Like literary analysis, the craft has so many lenses to look through to see what could be going on!!
If you knew all of them, you most likely would not be practicing.
But I am by no means trying to overwhelm any of the newer practitioners with just how vast witchcraft/spirituality/paganism in general is!! I just feel as if we'll tend to limit ourselves if we try to be good at "everything." Because, let's face itâthere are a lot more divination methods than what we typically see on social media, for example!!
So, I want us all to explore what it means to not be good at everything in our craft, and maybe sit with the potential discomfort for a hot minute!! I think that'd be a good idea!
Everything has a philosophy behind it, and numerology is most certainly not the exception. Once you understand why we use numbers to explore ourselvesâyouâll most likely feel ready to add some of your own numbers together! I like to think of Numerology as a way of exploring various aspects of ourselves and our outer world.
So, what can numerology do for you? Numerology can do a number of things! Such as, but not limited to:
- helping you understand endings and changes!
- Learn more about & make sense of the cycles in your life!
- Identify your challenges in life!
- & Enhance your intuition!
In my opinion, Numerology works similarly to Feng Shui. What I mean by this is that just as Feng Shui shows a map of the natural flow state of energies in the living spaces of your home and the things you place in it, your personal numbers also create a template of sorts for the energy in your life currently, and what youâre most likely to attract and/or let in.
I think of it as numbers donât have power over you; rather they have power beside you. Their energies can act like a wall, which in turn allows your energy to bounce off of theirs! Making a maze-like system that we call life!
Not to get too far off the point with that; Iâm going to circle back to numbers.
Numbers, both vibrationally and symbolically, contain two major elements:
- A vibrational frequency that acts as a magnet for certain energies
- & A potential outlet for spiritual attraction and connection.
All in all, by becoming aware of the principles of Numerology as well as the meanings of the numbers, youâll essentially have and/or create your own code of sorts that can aid you in changing up/interpreting/understanding the energies surrounding your life; and potentially use/change these energies in such a way that you can lead a more successful life (however you define that), through having a more harmonious numeric relationship/vibration!
In the next post, Iâll be going over a few of the âcore numbers,â and how to calculate them!! But donât worryâthese are super easy calculations! Basic addition (and subtraction for some)!!
Iâll also be linking the last posts to the current one, so for example; post number 2 will have this post linked to it, and post number 3 will have this one and post twoâand so on and so forth!!
Hello!! Hope everyone is having a good dayâI just got slammed with ~17â of snow, so Iâm going to be stuck in the house for a while!!
With that being said, Iâve been doing a Numerology deep dive since about 8:00 this morning, and since itâs now currently a little past 16:00 (4pm); I thought itâd be a fun idea to share my learnings with all of you!!
So, sit back; relax, and maybe turn off post notifications for me for a little bit (or turn them on, if youâre also interested in this stuff)!!
Fin's (super quick and easy) Doorstep Cleansing Ritual.
Is is about 11pm (23:00 for those who use military time) on a Sunday? Yes. Did I think that it'd just be fun to post a ritual or two of mine? Also, yes. Does anyone really cares about my rituals/practice like that? I hope not. Do I give a shit either way? No.
So, here's this!!
To me, this is a quick and easy step to add into my regular house cleaning routine. Typically, I do a deep clean of my home every week on either Friday or Saturday, depending on how I feel after a work week. Iâll add this step in my routine every other âdeep cleaning day,â I feel that this timeframe works the best for me and what I do on the regular.
As stated before, I feel that this is an easy additional step to add into the routine, and it really only takes as few or as many ingredients as you want it to have! This is completely customizable and adaptable for anyone to use.
What I use:
~1 cup of warm water
At least 1 tablespoon of vinegarÂ
A tablespoon of salt (I use either table salt or pink himalayan salt)
1 tablespoon of dried lavender*
1 tablespoon of dried basil*
1 tablespoon of dried peppermint*
Bowl or something to hold the liquid in
Wash cloth
*You can substitute any of these herbs and their amounts for what you have on hand and that correspond to what youâre going for.
Combine the water, salt, vinegar, and herbs in the container and allow it to steep in a warm, sunny place for about an hour or so.
Once it has steeped to your liking, dip the cloth into the liquid and wash the threshold of any door that you would like!
Hey, again to my followersâif youâre looking for some Tarot books or even a reading; OP has their very professional looking shop linked in their bio!! Highly recommend checking them out!!
After a decade long abusive relationship, I left my husband for good. I realized if I wanted to grow to become the most ancient trans person anyone's ever seen, I had to save myself. My plan was to get him committed, maybe even arrested depending on what happened. But my daughter, who is not on Tumblr, stopped it from happening, and made me leave my own house.
I am sleeping extremely temporarily on @sigilwitch couch, I have no money of my own, because I'm disabled. So, if anyone can buy a tarot reading, or donate through my Ko-Fi I'd be eternally grateful. I'm very proud of myself but I have no idea what I'm going to do. I just moved across country I barely know anyone.
Leaving abusive patterns is hard, man, it'll feel like your life is ruined, but GOD yesterday was my liberation day and I just have to figure out how do I build from here?
This is my Ko-Fi shop
I have deity readings, past life readings, and a reading with Lord Lucifer. I even have a Pop Culture deity reading! And other fully customizable ones.
I love you all SO much. Remember after The Tower comes The Star and I love the star đ
Oh also, if you could share this post that would be amazing đ anything helps.
Hello fellow witches, I've got a question for y'all.
You see, I don't usually dip my toes in angel work since I have a love/hate relationship with anything closely affiliated with the Christian God, but lately I've gotten the ideas of the seven olympic spirits in my head and I can't get them out of it. So I'm taking that as a sign that they'll be okay with knowing and working with me.
So my question is, who is/are the Olympic angels that are governing the realm of love and money? Those are the areas I am having quite the bit of trouble in, and any information on this matter is greatly appreciated.
Hi!! Hope you are well!! My name is Fin, and although I donât personally work with these spiritsâI 100% love learning new things!!
So, I think out of the 7 Olympic Spirits your best bet would be to call on Hagith (love/relationships), and Och(finances)!!
Hagith is an olympic spirit who rules over the planet Venus and 21 provinces.
According to the Arbatel of Magick(1575), Hagith ruled over the earth during the years 1410 - 1900.
In textual history:
Hagith is described as an olympic spirit in several grimoires collectively called the Grimoire of Armadel.
Abilities/associations;
Hagith is a transmuter of metals and is able to convert copper into gold in a moment and gold instantaneously into copper. He also gives faithful serving spirits.
As ruler of Venus, he governs love, sex, and beauty.
And thereâs also Och
Och presides over all solar things; he gives 600 years of good health. He grants wisdom, gives most excellent spirits, and teaches perfect medicine. He turns everything into most pure gold and precious stones. He gives gold and a pouch that pours out gold.â
(Arbatel, Aphorism 17, p.35)
I can argue that Och would be good to invoke for better finances.. but I am not super well versed in/with these angels!
These are the sources I used to come up with my explanation:
General information on them:

Hello, hope everyone is doing good! If you donât know me, my name is Finnley Beaumont, but Fin or Beau work just fine too!! I am a 22 year old witch, who practices a mixture of Roman and Slavic paganism; as well as a blend of other paths! Today, I would like to yap about science and witchcraft and why they do not cancel each other outâbut rather enhance one another!Â
The reason I bring this up is because Iâve actually had a few conversations outside of the internet debating the validity of witchcraft and magic in lieu of scientific explanations. This is also wide open for anyone who wants to debate and/or ask questions about my stance(s) in thisâI have absolutely no issues with either!!
TL;DR: Magic and science do not cancel each other out, but rather enhance each other's outcomes.
Something that Iâve seen floating around tumblr is âmagic is the science that we canât explain.â Which, to me, is true to a fault. Yes; magic is filled with wonder, and we canât see or necessarily feel it; we canât smell or taste it, nor can we actually hear it. Magic is an intangible energy; but it is an energy.
Magic does run into an issue with definitions, because it is so fluid; there is truly no one specific way to define it correctly. I pulled this quote from an article on Britannica: âThe term magic cannot be defined in isolation because of its broad parameters, important role in many societies, and interactions with related phenomena. Magic is a generic label ⊠used to describe specific practices in societies in which this word or its conceptual equivalent may not even exist⊠diverse phenomena are lumped together on the assumption that they operate in the same way. This artificial construct of magic also exists only in relation to what it is notâprimarily, religion and science as alternate modes of rationality. Such definitions of magic privilege cultures with a strong scientific orientation and stigmatize those that practice magic instead of religion. Consequently, defining magic and identifying magicians requires an understanding of the cultural contexts in which these labels are used.â
But, magic and science are sometimes not too far off from each other. Take manifestation for example; letâs say that Iâm struggling to emotionally regulate myself and all I want is mental calmness and/or clarity. How would I go about manifesting such things? I might do a candle spell with the intention of gaining mental clarity. Does it happen right away? No. Why doesnât it happen right away?
The brain is, in my opinion; our most valuable tool for magic. It is not a muscle, but it controls our muscles⊠and I wonât get too much into that; though! Our brain has neurons, and it also has these peaks and valleys throughout it; the sulci (which are the shallow, inward folds) and the gyri (which are the raised lumps between the folds). These folds and bumps are important, they increase the brainâs surface area so more and more neurons can fit into it.Â
Are we seeing my vision?
Letâs circle back to manifestation; it is the idea that we can believe a goal into being. Affirmations are positive phrases or statements (âI am enough,â for example) that people can repeat, out loud or in their heads, with the goal of boosting confidence and self-esteem.Â
So, with that; manifestation requires cognitive function(s) to actually workâand we know this because of science. Manifestation is a super fun and fancy name for something we know from Neuroscience. Magic = science and vice versa. Magic, in my opinion, is accessible science. You do not need a degree to practice magic and be, for lack of better words, an "authority figure,â within magical spaces. You do, however, need some form of formal study to be an authority figure in the field of Neuroscience. This isnât always accessible to everyone. But you know what is accessible to everyone? Our brains.
Even if you donât have the fancy equipment to practice neuroscience on yourself; which I am NOT recommending you do, you still can âpracticeâ it, you know?
And this doesnât stop at manifestationâthe parallel between science and magicâthis is literally the whole entire thought process between science and magic.Â
Thereâs this thing I learned from my years in therapy; itâs called Wise Mind. And Wise Mind is the sweet spot between being logical and emotional in your thinking/decision making. I think that Wise Mind can 100% be applied to what Iâm trying to say here.
Thank you for reading my thoughts here!! As stated before, if there are any questions about anything in which I said, please let me know!!
Feeling spiritually fried? Eat some energy protecting fried zucchini.
The zucchini we have come to know and love was developed in Italy in the 19th century however, it did not originate there!! Itâs one of many plants that came from the Americas and underwent generations of selective breeding to arrive at its current form.
Because the modern zucchini is relatively new, thereâs not a lot of traditional herb lore around it. But! Donât let this deter you, my fried zucchini protection spell not only tastes delicious(if you enjoy zucchini); but it can even be used for an offering to your house/house spirits!!
I personally have not offered this to my deities, though if you decide to try this, let me know how it goes!!
This is what youâll need:
1 decently sized zucchini â this is the vessel in which the spell will travel.
Protective herbs/seasonings! â I used things like oregano, paprika, a little bit of Sriracha salt, black pepper and Himalayan salt to top them off!
Oil of your choice â you can also use butter, or skip this step entirely and just use an air fryer!! However, I used olive oil.
Bread crumb & all purpose flour â mixing these two together will get you a crispy texture, itâs super crunchy and delicious!!
Instructions!!
So, what youâre going to want to do is cut your zucchini into discs, and generously season both sides!! In a good sized pan/cast ironâI used my cast iron for this; heat up your oil slowly! The reasoning behind heating it slowly is because we donât want the oil to âpopâ when we put the disks in. We just want a loud sizzle.
Get the bread crumb/flour mixture on to your zucchini!! Pat it down while itâs in the bowl that the mixture is in to really make sure it sticks.
Pop them suckers into your oiled pan!
Leave them alone on both sides for like.. 5-7 minutes on each side! Do not constantly flip them, have some patience here!!
Itâs at this point that I start to intentionally clean up; my kitchen brings me joy, and peace. Itâs my altar so to speak.
As the disks are frying, tell them what you need them to do/be. If you have the energy to do this, tell each and every ingredient what you need from it.
After theyâre doneâand youâve cleaned upâyou now have an amazing snack! Or an absolute banger of an offering for your house spirits.
End notes:
I hope you all enjoyed this post, if you need anything feel free to reach out! Iâm more than happy to chat with anyone!!
