Thank you for your kind words! Headcanons for Gintoki, Hijikata, and Tsukuyo on their S/O’s birthday, what they would do:

Sakata Gintoki:

Gintoki is, really obviously, a cheapskate as well as Kabukicho’s local broke guy. He isn’t one for luxurious gifts, however S/O knows him well enough to not expect that from him. Gintoki tries to make up for this by giving S/O things beyond materialistic value.

Although he is broke, Gintoki still tries to take S/O out on their birthday, somewhere he frequents but won’t hurt his wallet too much. If the weather doesn’t permit, Gintoki will cook for them, while complaining, of course. (He doesn’t mean it!)

If he and his S/O can go out, he loves to go overboard on this day. Gintoki plans really intricate ‘Celebrate S/O-chan’s birthday’ plans that usually go askew and turn into chaotic yet fun messes. There isn’t a dull moment with Gintoki on this day.

Friends are family to Gintoki, and naturally, he thinks that he should spend this day hanging with his and S/O’s friends. Spending time with the people he cares about makes him cozy inside, and he wants them to experience this too.

Gintoki is not very good with dates at all, he couldn’t even tell you what day of the week it is. Hence he expects S/O to tell him if their birthday’s coming up. It doesn’t have to be direct, a note or a mark on his calendar is enough to remind him. He would feel guilty if he missed it after all.

Hijikata Toshirou

This man tries his damn hardest to get S/O’s birthday to be on his day off, changing shifts around, rewriting the whole shift schedule for the month if he must. However busy a man he may be, he cannot afford to miss his S/O’s birthday.

Unfortunately, life doesn’t always go his way. If duty calls, he would have no choice but to wield his sword for the safety of Edo. In this case, Hijikata would be ruthless on duty, extremely concentrated, and determined to finish the poor excuse of a job to get home as soon as possible.

If he absolutely cannot make it back on time before S/O’s birthday ends, he would order Yamazaki to deliver them a cake as well as a handwritten letter from himself. The letter would contain sweet nothings as he apologizes. The guilt of not being with S/O eats at him as he works.

On this day if he’s free, Hijiaka would try his best to do activities that he knows S/O enjoys, he wants to see them happy after all. Thus, Hijikata is at S/O’s beck and call, even though he may look as if he objects on the outside, he’s willing to do anything S/O desires.

Hijiaka may not look it, but he’s decent at picking out gifts for his S/O. His tastes are a bit more expensive if it's special occasions such as these. However, Hijikata still has a horrible habit of second guessing his gifts and constantly wonders if S/O would like what he gets them.

Tsukuyo

Tsukuyo isn’t into her birthday that much, however, S/O’s birthday is a whole new deal. She isn’t very familiar with how to celebrate birthdays at all, so she goes to Hinowa or Seita for help.

Being a woman of Yoshiwara, she was around many courtesans, be it guarding or helping them out. Tsukuyo has seen how they’ve treated certain clients on their birthdays, and although it’s embarrassing, she may go so far as to attempt to replicate that.

Tsukuyo is not the most talented chef, but she does have a few dishes she’s proud of to flaunt for S/O on their birthday. She attempts to include as many of their favorite ingredients as possible in her dishes.

She is obsessed with getting S/O some sort of materialistic gift as she wants to get S/O something they can actually hold, She is painfully aware of the fact that she may not always be what S/O needs emotionally, but the physical item serves as a reminder that she’s always there for them.

Tsukuyo is unsure what she should do with S/O, because she doesn’t want to end up forcing them to do anything that they don’t want to. Ultimately, she wouldn’t cake up her words and simply asks S/O how they would like to celebrate their birthday.

Sorry if this was rather short, but I thought that the question was quite concise. If I missed something you wanted included, please feel free to let me know!!

Saitou and Kondo’s thoughts on having a family:

Shimaru Saitou:

Saitou has never really given having a family too much though, heck he never though he’d get a chance to start his own. He always had the Shinsengumi who accepted him for who he is, hence the thought of a new family, his own family, gets him a bit shaken.

If he’s considering starting a family with S/O, he already knows he’s fallen deeply with them. He wouldn’t be the one to ask for a family, however. He’s content with where he Is now with his lover, but if they were to say that they wanted to start a family of their own with him, Saitou would be happy to take the next step.

Saitou wants family to be a warm and accepting place. He may be unfamiliar with how to interact with children, or how to create the positive atmosphere he desires, he puts is heart and soul into trying his best.

Kondo Isao:

Kondo is smitten with the idea of having a family. Or maybe a bit more like obsessed with the thought. He loves the idea of having someone to come home to after a long day at work. Plus the idea that he’s fighting for those he loves really gets him motivated.

Kondo also adores children, so he wouldn’t hesitate too much when it comes to having/adopting children with his S/O. In the case that S/O is against children, he wouldn’t mind, but ultimate wants to discuss it with his S/O and possibly find a compromise.

The concept of family is far from foreign to Kondo. Take the Shinsengumi for example, they’re basically family to him. Family isn’t a perfect concept, but he loves it regardless.

Headcanons of Gintoki, Okita, Hijikata and Kamui asking someone out.

What a cute request! ^^ I’m back from my unannounced hiatus! I took a very rigorous summer school course, but that’s finally over, so I have time to write again! Thank you for your patience!

Sakata Gintoki:

Gintoki is far from shy, in fact some would actually call him shameless. Although, the way he acts when he’s contemplating whether or not to ask his crush out may be mislabeled as timidness, it’s actually his insecurities that are holding him back.

Constantly running through his head are thoughts of whether or not he’s the one that they deserve. Gintoki is painfully aware of his shortcomings, his flaws, his poor habits, they’re what’s holding him back from asking them out.

Whenever he feels a bit courageous, those same few thoughts run through his head all over again., stopping him. Eventually, if it gets too obvious that not being with them is hurting him in turn, Kagura and Shinpachi will give Gintoki a lecture about it. Gintoki would shrug it off, but eventually he understands, and decides to give it a shot.

At first, it starts out with Gintoki extensively planning it out. He’s by no means a romantic, but hey, he’s seen his fair share of television. A walk at the park, dinner together at one of their favorite places, and then he’d walk them home is what he has in mind.

As Gintoki finds himself at their front door, Gintoki’s palms get slightly sweatier, as he feels butterflies in his stomach. “Don’t chicken out now. What are you, some high school girl?” He curses to himself. He would ultimately ignore his fears and ask them out.

Okita Sougo:

Sougo isn’t romantic at all, in fact, sometimes a few social nuances and social cues fly past him. This isn’t because he isn’t aware of them, but rather, he couldn’t find it in himself to care. It was never like him to try and fit in anyways.

Just because he isn’t romantic in the sense of the word, doesn’t mean he doesn’t try when he knows he needs to. To put it simply, he has his own way of being romantic and affectionate. Asking the person he likes out is one of those times where he goes the extra mile.

Sougo doesn’t want to be the one making the first move, at least not until he’s got at least an idea of how they feel about him first. Relationships aren't a priority to him right now, so if Sougo finds out that they aren’t interested, he doesn’t want to spend useless time and effort trying to court them.

If they are interested, Sougo would find himself frequently visiting them, usually during his Shinsengumi shifts. If his shift is at the other side of Edo, he would switch with someone who has sifts near them. If they’re free, Sougo asks them to tag along, if not, Sougo would hang around where they are. Close enough that they’re in sight, but not close enough to be considered a stalker.

Once Sougo finds himself comfortable enough and ready to take the next step, he would visit outside his shifts, loitering around them. Eventually, on one of his free days, without notice, Sougo takes them somewhere homely, probably a food stand, for a light meal, where he asks them out.

Hijikata Toshirou

Hijikata is a bit of a disaster, an emotional disaster. He’s sure about how he feels towards the person he likes, however, a variety of things are constantly weighing his mind. This results in Hijikata never really deciding whether or not he wants to ask them out.

He’s not one to prioritize relationships, he’s more of the ‘married to my work’ kind of guy. Plus, with his dangerous line of work, he questions if he’s even ready for any relationships. Thus it will take a while, who knows how long, for Hijikata to be vocal about his emotions.

That doesn’t stop him from being embarrassingly obvious about his feelings though. Hijikata can’t help it, his body is honest. Redding cheeks and ears are usually a tell tale sign that the person he is pining for is nearby.

If and when Hijikata finally comes around to asking that person out, he wants to be smooth, but yet true to himself. He wants the person he likes to like him for who he is. If they don’t, well, maybe it wasn’t meant to be anyways.

Hijikata would ask them to go on a small walk with him. He’s a bit awkward at first, but he gets his act together quickly. After a while, he would just ask them out, straight to the point without any fluffy or flowery words.

Kamui

This mans isn’t clueless, he knows what love is, he doesn’t live under a rock. Its simply that Kamui didn’t expected that he would be the one to like someone.

Kamui is a man who is confident. In the sense that he wouldn’t hesitate to ask someone he liked out, because he isn’t afraid of rejection. However, Kamui doesn’t have a very good understanding of romantic relations between people in general. He never really saw it as something essential to his life.

He would likely seek help from Abuto, as Kamui views him as a person who understands human interaction better than he does. He wouldn’t know what to do with his emotions in the beginning, hence he would take it out on the battlefield to distract himself.

Courting people is still a foreign concept to Kamui, and, quite frankly, he’s found himself unsure of how he himself would act. Thoughts of them starts appearing to him while on the battlefield, that’s when he knows its more serious than he expected.

When push comes to shove, Kamui will appear nonchalant and assertive as he asks them out. His signature closed eyed smile conceals the nervousness and uncertainty behind his eyes as he waits for the answer.

Nsfw headcanons for Okita and Kamui:

Okita Sougo:

As the franchise stresses so often, Sougo is a huge sadist, and that trait quite obviously carries into the bedroom too. His partner’s pain is his pleasure, their humiliation is his enjoyment.

Due to his naturally sadistic nature, Sougo automatically enjoys being in more dominant roles while in the bedroom. He doesn’t find it as much fun when he’s not in control, although he may relent once a blue moon if his partner has been insistent for a while.

Sougo loves a responsive partner, whimpers, moans, and squirming in reaction to his antics are very welcome. He doesn’t consider the job well done unless he’s made his partner tear up and cry at least once from the pain and pleasure he’s giving them. For this reason, Sougo loves overstimulation.

However, as much as he may enjoy the suffering of his partner, there’s a clear line between pain and pleasure, and he’s well aware of that. Sougo puts a clear effort to make sure that his partner is comfortable and enjoying the sex as much as he is.

As referenced before, Sougo’s sadism mostly stems from his insecurities. As a result, occasionally after especially rough sessions with his partner, he would go into Dom drops. Kamui:

Kamui doesn’t have the highest sex drive in the world, in fact its pretty low, mostly because he’s usually busy out beating some aliens into a pulp. However, when he has the time to get down and dirty, he goes all in.

He isn’t loud during sex at all, a couple of grunts and a few groans when he’s nearing release. For this reason he talks a lot to fill the silence, nothing too over the top, but still filthy. Phrases similar to “You look so hot taking my cock.” or “You like that?” Is what he usually says.

Kamui is fully capable of rough sex, believe me, nothing is stopping him from going hard and fast. However, he prefers passionate sex a tad bit more. He love pulling almost all the way out just to thrust his entire length inside his partner lights some kind of fire in him.

Doesn’t care about dom and sub dynamics as much, but he usually ends up on the top or a more domineering position due to his strength. I really have nothing to say for why I’ve been gone so long other than the fact that I’ve been taking an extended break? Haha;;; I have nothing to say for how long I’ve been gone without saying anything. 

Without further ado, here are headcanons for Kondo adopting a girl with no memories (and is about Sougo’s age):

Kondo’s surprise was written all over his face when he found an unconscious girl during one of his patrols, and he certainly didn’t think he would end up adopting her, let alone having her as part of his family.

However, after the initial shock Kondo felt, he rushed her to the hospital. He was stunned to learn that she had no family on record, and to make matters more complex,  when she had awoken, she had lost her memories.

When Kondo had offered for her to stay at his place, it started off as him simply wanting to helping her find any lead on her identity, however, she quickly grew on him. While he might not be his legal guardian on paper yet, he’s like a parental figure already.

Kondo found himself looking out for her more often, his thoughts often wondering whether she’s had a healthy meal, or if she’s safe outside in the dark of night. Eventually, he expresses this concern to Hijikata and Sougo, asking them why he felt that way.

Initially, they tease him for being a pervy stalker, but as they place the jokes aside, they realize the feelings Kondo felt were those of parental care and love.

Kondo offers to take her in, even if it’s until she’s finds her real family again or until she gains her memories. He’s already subconsciously included her in his small family.

Hence, I don’t see Kondo as the type of person to legally adopt unless she agrees, however, in Kondo’s eyes, she is already family, and he doesn’t need a few papers to prove that.

Sincerest apologies for delay, I’ve been busy, but I’m glad to say that I’m back now! General nsfw hcs for Oboro, Bansai, Abuto and Saitou.

Oboro

Oboro is not one for games, hence, he’s quite serious during the act itself. He thinks that sex should be intimate, nothing less than romantic, and believes in enjoyment for both parties involved.

Having a high sex drive is not something Oboro is familiar with, he’s a busy man with much on his agenda. Additionally, the things he sees on the daily don’t do much to put him in the mood, if anything it does the opposite.

He puts S/O and S/O’s needs above all else, if they’re not having a good time, he isn’t having a good time either. Hence, Oboro’s always hesitant to introduce new kinks, since he doesn’t want to do something wrong.

Oboro is definitely not one to tease, denying what S/O wants doesn’t fly with him. Simply put, S/O has him pretty much wrapped around their finger, so long as they give him an innocent smile and ask, Oboro will comply as long as it isn’t outrageous.

His ears, especially the tip, are especially sensitive.

Oboro may not seem the type, but he likes to whisper sweet nothings and endless praises into his S/O’s ears as they make love. His words may be slightly awkward at first, but he improves quickly. Since he’s not very vocal during sex to begin with, he speaks instead.

Kawakami Bansai

Bansai is determined to make music with S/O’s body, it almost as if he’s playing an instrument. Touches of varying intensity on certain parts of S/O’s body causes them to  produce a variety of noises, so he thoroughly experiments, with their body as his canvas.

“So excited already? The night is still young. We’re far from, I daresay.” He can spend hours focusing on your pleasure alone, he doesn’t mind. Due to this, he can be quite the tease.

However, if S/O has mentioned celebrating it before, he’s instantly interested. Will 100% be petty and ignore them if S/O forgets to wish him a happy birthday, even though he’s never cared about the day prior.

He will free up the entire day, not that it bothers him much, Abuto will take care of it. Unless there’s something urgent, he doesn’t want to miss the chance to be pampered by S/O. He acts extra whiny, because he knows S/O will spoil and indulge him in his wishes.

If S/O can cook, Kamui wants to eat what they make on his birthday. If S/O can’t cook, Kamui wants to try cooking with S/O on this occasion. He doesn’t take birthdays too seriously, but he does like to use it as an excuse to spend time with them.

If he has an S/O who can fight, then Kamui wants to spar a few rounds with them. He likes sparring with S/O, sometimes, to him, fighting is a way of conveying emotions that he finds hard to put into words.

He doesn’t want to dictate what he does that day, he also wants S/O to surprise him. There’s no fun in planning your own birthday, he believes, so he’s going to have fun seeing what S/O plans for him. A nice quiet dinner with the both of them? A party with his crew? Or possibly a special dessert just for him?
