THE UNTOLD TALE | Chapter XVI
Draco Malfoy
Summary: brought back to Hogwarts, Sunrise must face the truth about her past while trying to find out the real reason they’re back
“What a surprise” said Hewitt.
“I swear I didn’t know” said Malfoy.
The boot took them to the Malfoy Manor vineyard.
“Sure” answered the girl as she started walking towards the house.
“What are you doing?” asked Ron.
“Facing whatever we have to face” answered her.
“That’s stupid” said Lorena.
“Oh, I’m sorry. Let’s analyze our many many options here” she was getting mad.
“Not all of us had a good time in there” said Ron.
“I’m sorry? Good time? Oh, you mean while my mother was a Death Eater and I had to spy on them risking my own life to help the Order? Yeah, all sunsets and rainbows. I miss golden times, that must be the reason why I left and never talked about it, because it was such comforting memories” busted out Sunrise.
The angry statement was followed by silence. Sunrise simply sat down.
“I’m sorry, I'm just... tired. I thought it was over” she whispered.
“We all did” said Hermione sitting next to her.
“What should we do?” asked Martha.
“I’m being honest now, you know? I don’t know what this is about. I also got hurt in the past and wanted it to be over” said Draco.
“I don’t believe you. You knew about Slytherin” said Hewitt.
Draco knelled in front of Sunrise, he raised his hand thinking about grabbing Sunrise’s but gave up.
“I did” he sighed “I’ll tell you all I heard. I know you’re Salazar Slytherin’s heir and that’s the hope for the fallen Death Eaters. I mean, the ones that switched sides at the end. I think they’re inside but I don’t know for sure. They were reuniting a lot recently, mostly trying to plan ways to protect themselves. You know, the usual cowardly the- we are” he finished.
“But how? How being an heir help anything?” asked Sunrise.
“Well, you know, they’re all about pureblood” answered Draco.
“But we were always pureblood” said Sunrise.
“It’s different... You’re, I’m sorry, from the same family as Voldemort himself” he said.
“So... we should get inside, right?” asked Sunrise after a short period of silence.
“I suppose” said Martha.
“Oh, come on! Are we truly believing in Malfoy? Draco Malfoy?” asked Ron.
“I trust him” said Sunrise.
They broke eye contact for the first time since Draco kneeled.
“I know a way to sneak in” said Draco.
“Show us” said Sunrise.
“I can’t believe it” said Ron.
“Ron, this is our best option. Do you have another idea? Please, feel free to share it” said Sunrise.
Everyone waited for an answer but Ron simply nodded. Sunrise signed to Draco lead the way and he did. They sneaked in through some underground tunnels. In fact, there was a meeting taking place in the diner room. It seemed like everything Draco described them: they were planning ways to protected themselves. But it didn’t answer much. Sunrise signed them to go back into the tunnel.
“Can we speak here?” she mouthed.
“Yes” said Draco.
“Okay, you were telling the truth but I don’t get it. Why the Founders gave us the gifts, why are we back in Hogwarts and why are we here? What’s the connection? I’m so confused” she said.
“Well, what if we had to listen to it?” said Martha.
“Actually, I think I know where this is heading” said Hermione.
They waited but she was still designing everything on her mind.
“Hermione?” said Ron.
“Oh, right. So why the Founders gave us the gifts. 1. Why the Founders: because it affects Hogwarts. 2. The gifts: to help us understand our weapons and risks, the first gift was the book in which Sunrise found out about her heritage, which will help us. The second gift was the time-turner that leaded us to the reason why the last heir of Hufflepuff died. I’m guessing we need something near to the last heir. The third gift lead us here so we could hear who, when and where. The remaining Death Eaters, Founder’s Ball and Hogwarts. The fourth is a mistery to me. I think we should listen to the prophecy. 3. us: sounds obvious to find one of the heirs. But why the rest of us? Well, because we’ve been close to the objects we must find. I’m guessing Gryffindor’s is the sword and Ravenclaw is one of her books. . I guess” said Hermione.
“Wow” sighed Ron with an amazed smile
“That... makes sense. But how are we going to use the Cup to save anything?” asked Hewitt.
“Maybe we’ll found out after listening to the prophecy” said Harry.
“So let’s go back to Hogwarts and do it” said Ron.
THE UNTOLD TALE | Chapter XV
Draco Malfoy
Summary: brought back to Hogwarts, Sunrise must face the truth about her past while trying to find out the real reason they’re back.
They went to their dorms to try to sleep. Not a single one of them was successful. The next morning, five days away from the ball, they found themselves circling the Cup.
“So... What we think about it?” asked Ron.
“I don’t we think alike” said Hermione.
“I think this is useless” said Sunrise.
“I don’t know... I mean, that was the final place we’ve been too” said Martha
“Yes, but how could anyone know how many turns you’d take and where we’d go?” asked Draco.
“Well, if the person have had traveled back in time and seen it, they could” said Lorena.
“But we didn’t have that in mind back them, so they wouldn’t see it” added Sunrise.
“I know, but there must be a way” said Martha.
As they were trying to guess if that was important or not on their way to the Requirement Room, they heard a very loud noise coming from the inside of it. They all froze up.
“Should we go inside?” asked Martha.
Nobody answered. They all had their wands in hand and Harry leaded them in. The door easily opened and they crossed it, finding an empty room full of duplicates of the Horcruxes. There were even mannequins in the shape of Harry and Naguini.
“That’s... disturbing” said Raul.
Disturbing was a euphemism to what they witnessed. Why would someone try to replicate the Horcruxes if they wouldn’t have the same value? That was odd to say the least. They entered the room walking among it, not a single word coming out of their mouths. Sunrise took a peek on Draco’s look to see if the boy showed any familiarity with the content of the room but he seemed as surprised as everyone else. Once they reached the center of it, the only empty space, they relaxed a little bit.
“Do you know anything about this?” Sunrise asked Malfoy.
“No... I swear” he answered confused by the room.
“If I found out you’re lying to me AGAIN I will end you. Do you understand?” she asked as a teacher giving instructions to a kid.
He nodded. Every cell in the room was busy trying to make connection between the forest encounter, the gifts and that room. It seemed, after all, that the Cup was what they needed to rescue. But what for? Was someone trying to redo the Horcluxes? The fear filled the room.
“Do you think somebody is trying to redo the Horcruxes?” Ron externalized everyone’s thoughts.
“Who would do that?” asked Martha.
“I don’t think so” said Sunrise analyzing it one of the Horcruxes.
“Are you serious?” asked Ron.
“Yes. Those weren’t made by the same person. Somebody was trying to find the actual Horcruxes” she answered.
They noticed for the first time that they weren’t the same but different colors or materials applied to them.
“But why?” asked Ron.
“I guess for the same reason we are?” she answered in doubt.
“We are?” he asked back.
“I don’t know if we are looking for Horcruxes but I think we were looking for the Cup even though we didn’t know” she answered.
The information settled for a while.
“So... why were we looking for this particular Horcrux?” asked Harry.
“I think we should revisit our little gifts” answered Sunrise.
“Okay, what haven’t we explored?” asked Martha.
“The boot” whispered Malfoy.
“No. That’s too dangerous” said Hermione.
“And when did we do something safe?” asked Harry.
“Fine. Do you have the boot with you, Sunny?” asked her.
The girl nodded and took the boot out of her bag.
“Shall we?” said the girl.
THE UNTOLD TALE | Chapter XIII
Draco Malfoy
Summary: brought back to Hogwarts, Sunrise must face the truth about her past while trying to find out the real reason they’re back.
“What?” asked Martha after a long time of silence.
“I mean, what more can I say?” said the defeated girl.
“But- like- are you daughter of Voldemort?” asked her finally.
“Don’t speak nonsenses like these. Daughter of Voldemort? That makes absolutely no sense! No, apparently there was some hidden descendants nobody knew about. Well, nobody but the family and I guess that’s how the Malfoy’s found out about it” she explained.
“Yeah” simply added Malfoy.
Sunrise Hewitt took a deep breath. She had had a lot of shit in her life, enough to understand that freaking out wasn’t going to make her less Slytherin-y. She was hurt by Malfoy’s words and pissed with him for lying to her face all this time. But what she was more focused about was the fact that there was possibly a giant killer snake ready to answer her call right next to her. So she decided to do it. She opened her mouth letting out a calling to the basilisk but nothing happened.
“There’s no real basilisk” whispered Draco on her ear.
“What?” she distanced herself to call the basilisk without interruptions.
“It was a trick from the book, can’t you see?” he said too close to her face that she could smell his hypnotizing breath.
“I- What do you know about it, Malfoy?” she said loudly so everyone could hear.
“I don’t know much. I know you’re the heir of Slytherin but your mother wanted to keep this a secret cause she was afraid of Voldemort reaction. I know the book’s existence and a little about it. It was cursed to call the heir to the chamber because, in theory, they were supposed to open it. The basilisk’s... voice is to give a clue about what they were supposed to do. That’s all I know. I don’t remember much, but I know Voldemort looked for this book for years but gave up after he found out the basilisk was killed” he explained.
“See? That’s pretty easy to tell people things” added Sunrise.
“Oh, give me a break! I didn’t know it was true. Nobody ever found any sort of proof and your family do have a background of lies quite huge” he tried to justify his actions.
Deep down he was just scared about what that meant. He always shook that idea away because he knew how dangerous that could be. Of course, probably every revengeful Death Eater wouldn’t dare come anywhere close to her now but still he knew power and darkness way too close to be comfortable around it.
“Okay, I’m guessing one mystery is solved but we still have four... do you think we have more Founders Heirs among us?” asked Ron.
“Uh, I don’t think so. But, also, which mystery is solved? We don’t know why it was important for me to know about my heritage” said a very numb Sunrise.
“I think if we found out about the rest of the... gifts maybe we can have an answer to that question. But for now, I think it’s better if we go to bed. Let’s meet up tomorrow after breakfast by the Room of Requirement” suggested Hermione.
Everyone agreed and they made their way to their respective common room. Sunrise, Draco and Ingrid didn’t say a word during their way. Ingrid tried to ask how Sunrise was feeling but the room was already full so they just fell asleep.
The next day came and Sunrise wasn’t very excited for their meeting. If she always felt like everybody was scared of her and found it difficult to trust her, it could only get worse now that they’ve found out she was the heir of Slytherin.
To be honest, besides this and the fact that Malfoy acted like a bitch to her, she was... okay? It was surprising but she actually felt excited. She was a Founder’s heir. That was a big deal. Maybe she has always felt lonely because she was missing the others heirs. Maybe she was supposed to befriend them and not anybody else. Okay, that was a LONG shot. She dressed up and left the common room alone. At the breakfast table, she noticed that all of her... friend have already had breakfast. She ate some food just so she wouldn’t pass out and went to the Room of Requirement, every step too heavy. As she crossed the door, she regretted it. She should’ve stayed in bed. Everyone suddenly stopped talking.
“Hi, Sunny” said a very embarrased Martha.
“You don’t have to pretend that you weren’t talking about me” the girl said resting her waist on the counter of the bar.
“We weren’t!” she said.
“Yes, we were” said Malfoy.
“Okay, maybe a little” added the girl.
“Can we get over with it already? What’s the next gift we’re going to explore?” asked Sunrise.
“Time-turner” said Raul.
“Prophecy” said Martha.
“What? No old boot?” asked sarcastically Sunrise.
“I say it’s safer to check the prophecy first. I suppose” ignored Hermione.
“Okay. So, time-turner" said Ron.
While they were arguing about what they would study first, Martha was playing with the time-turner without paying any attention to it. Sunrise looked at her friend and froze up.
“Martha... how many times have you flipped that around?” she asked way too slowly.
Everybody’s eyes turned to Martha. She finally realized she was turning the time-turner over and over again.
“I don’t know...” she said.
“Quick, everyone” said Sunrise grabbing the giant chain holding the time turner.
Only Hermione, Draco, Sunrise and Harry were quick enough.
THE UNTOLD TALE | Chapter XII
Draco Malfoy
Summary: brought back to Hogwarts, Sunrise must face the truth about her past while trying to find out the real reason they’re back.
“We should go to the Forbidden Forest and leave it all there” said Hermione.
“And what’s the fun in that?” said Draco.
“At least it’s safe!” added Lorena.
“I can’t believe I have to agree with Draco Malfoy” said Ron.
“I think we should try to understand what are those things and why we were gifted with it” argued Sunrise.
“Or cursed” whispered Martha.
“So we have a prophecy, an old book, a time-turner and... an old boot?” said Hermione.
That was when both, Sunrise and Harry spaced out for a bit. For few seconds they crossed eyes and noticed something was off.
“Are you listening it too?” asked themselves to each other.
“What?” asked Ron.
“It’s... impossible, right?” asked Sunrise.
“I suppose so” answered Harry.
“Can you guys tell us what is going on?” asked Martha.
“Uh, I don’t think we can... We’re, uh, hearing some sort of, uh, a weird noise” said Sunrise.
“It’s just like the basilisk” added Harry.
“That’s impossible” said Hermione.
“Yeah, but so is being gifted by the founders” said Malfoy.
“The book!” screamed Martha.
“What about it?” asked Ron
“No, it’s been destroyed and Voldemort is dead” answered Hermione.
“Yeah, but we were talking about a rising of the fallen Death Eaters, so it’s natural they’d bring back some classics” said the girl.
“Bring back some classics... Honestly, Martha... We are talking about MURDERERS” said Sunrise.
“Aren’t you a Death Eater?” she asked.
“Anyway... What are we going to do about it?” asked Hermione.
“I say let’s open the book!” answered Hewitt.
“We can’t! I tried everything” said Lorena.
“Okay, that’s annoying me” said Sunrise storming out of the room.
The rest of the gang followed her all the way to the Chamber.
“What are you doing?” screamed Hermione following her.
“I can’t keep pretend I’m not listening to it. I’m freaking out” answered the girl.
They walked in and the way to the Chamber was opened.
“Uh... I think it’s better if we-” started Ron.
“Give me the book” interrupted Sunrise.
Lorena handed the book to Sunrise, she gave a very detailed look at it and whispered some parseltongue to it. The book opened.
“Okay, we should REALLY get rid of it” said Ron.
“I don’t think so...” said Sunrise facing the first page.
“It can be dangerous” said Hermione.
“It belonged to Salazar Slytherin, himself” ignored Sunrise.
“What?” they all said.
“Sunny, maybe we SHOULD throw it away” said Draco.
“What now?” asked Ron.
“I mean, it can be dangerous, you never know what it could be about” answered him.
“It was passed on to his heirs” she kept ignoring them hypnotized.
“We should really close it” desperately said Draco.
“If that was passed on, why didn’t Voldemort use it as a Horcrux? I mean, it would be way more valuable...” wondered Harry.
“Draco, why are you so worried about it?” asked Sunrise.
“I-It-I don’t know, I mean, it could be dangerous” stuttered him.
“To whom?” asked Sunrise closing the book and turning to face the boy.
“To all of us?” answered Martha.
“Is that so, Draco? Would that be dangerous to all of us?” asked Sunrise approaching the boy till they were face to face.
The boy didn’t answer anything.
“Or would it be dangerous to you?” she added.
“Nah, I don’t think it would be dangerous to me. I’m not the one with my name on it, am I?” he finally recovered his Malfoy attitude.
“So you knew” she left her guard down.
“I heard my father mention back there but it was always only a rumor” he said.
“And you never thought about telling me?”
“Oh, come on, Hewitt, it’s not like we were close”
“Huh. Funny thing to say when you keep thanking me to keep details in secret, huh?”
“Well, Hewitt, yes, we have secrets but that doesn’t mean anything”
“Good to know” she answered with teary eyes.
“Can somebody tell us what is going on?” asked Ron.
“I’m... heir of Salazar Slytherin” answered Sunrise.
THE UNTOLD TALE - Chapter XI
Draco Malfoy
Summary: brought back to Hogwarts, Sunrise must face the truth about her past while trying to find out the real reason they’re back.
They all returned to the castle with pale faces as if they’ve seen a ghost. Nobody said a world about what happened but in groups they analyzed the gifts.
Lorena sat under the sky-like ceiling in Ravenclaw common room with the book she got in the Forest. It was a wooden cover, something like the books from fairytales. It had a lock blocking it and she started to try every spell to open it. After a good time trying and failing, she moved on to muggle skills, trying to pick its lock but the results were always disappointing.
Meanwhile, Martha sat by a tree near the lake. She like the outside better than her common room. It always felt like she got missorted. Ever since last night she was thinking about the time-turner and when she’d like to return but every time she’d like to return was on a far place. She knew the right thing to do was to destroy the time-turner but she just couldn’t get rid of the idea of reliving some special moments of when she was younger and happier. Usually, she’d look for Sunrise to tell about it but she knew the girl would advise her to destroy the gift.
What escaped to Martha, is that by the Gryffindor common room, Hermione, Harry, Ron and Raul were reunited trying to figure if they should listen to it. Hermione advised to Harry that Voldemort’s ruin was exactly because of it but the boys were bravely arguing against her.
“That’s so weird. I mean, You guys got a prophecy, Martha a time-turner and Lorena an old book” said Raul.
“WHAT?” the trio screamed.
“Oh, didn’t I mention?” he answered.
“No, you forgot that little detail” mocked Ron.
“Come on, let’s find them” said Hermione leaving the room.
“I’m telling you, it’s just a joke” said Sunrise.
“I know you’re smarter than that, so what’s the deal?” asked Draco.
“I mean, the only other thing that I can think about is a portkey. But that’s dangerous. We don’t know who that man was” she added.
“Don’t we?”
“That’s impossible”
“Yeah, cause impossible things don’t happen all the time around here”
“Come on, we’re late and I don’t want to get another detention as a grown-up”
“I swear, if I get another detention because of somebody else I’m going to freak out” said Sunrise after getting another detention for being late.
“That’s not exclusively my fault, though” added Draco.
Later that night, after their time on detention they were heading to the Great Hall to have dinner when Sunrise heard a whisper.
“That can’t be” she stopped.
“What?” asked Draco.
“I thought I’ve heard- Nevermind" she added.
But she couldn’t shake that cold voice from her head. At least not until she walked into the Great Hall and saw Martha, Lorena, Hermione, Ron and Harry talking very passionate about something.
“What do you think is going on?” asked Malfoy
“I don’t know, but I rather keep the boot to ourselves, okay? Hermione is going to freak out and try to find a meaning in all of it”
“Oh, so we have another dirty little secret, huh?” smirked the boy.
“Draco, why you have to do everything absolutely annoying?” asked the girl laughing.
“Because that’s how you like it” answered him.
“Hi, guys, so what are you so passionate about now?” asked Hewitt ignoring Draco.
“Uh, nothing, just... potions” said Harry.
“Harry Potter, you hate potions. What are you hiding from your beloved cousin?” said Sunrise.
“I’m not hiding anything. What are you hiding? Where were you two?” he asked back.
“Don’t change the subject” she said.
“I’m not hiding anything!” he said.
“Martha?’ asked Sunrise
“That’s low!” said Harry.
“We have no secrets, right? That’s what best friends mean” the girl ignored her cousin.
“Yeah, Harry is telling the truth. They were helping us with, uh, amortentia. What do you smell in it?” she talked to fast.
“Why are you talking so fast?” she stared into her eyes.
“Why are you avoiding her question?” asked Ron.
“Why is Harry avoiding mine?” asked Hewitt.
“Oh, so you guys are talking about the gifts? Ingrid told me you guys also get one” said Raul as he and Ingrid approached them.
“So you were lying to me?” asked Hewitt after a short silence.
“I was protecting you”
“Harry Potter, I’m not a baby. I don’t need protection. So what’s your... gift?”
“You go first” said the boy.
“Okay, enough! Let’s go to the Room of Requirement and we’re going to talk about everything!” said Hermione.
THE UNTOLD TALE | Chapter X
Draco Malfoy
Summary: brought back to Hogwarts, Sunrise must face the truth about her past while trying to find out the real reason they’re back.
By this point, Sunrise had already given up on trying to understand the reasons why they came back. They slowly stopped meeting every night, all of them had lots of homework to do and Sunrise spent a large amount of time trying to help her colleagues to catch up. They couldn’t spend five minutes without hearing whispers. Most of the time they ignored them, but one day Ron couldn’t take it anymore and attacked the bullies.
“Ronald! They’re kids!” screamed Hermione.
“I don’t care!” he answered.
“Well, you should. I see even as grown-ups you still find trouble. Detention tonight. To all of you” said McGonagall.
“What?” answered simultaneously Malfoy and Hewitt.
“No discussions” she replied.
“Thanks a lot, Weasley” said Malfoy after she left.
After dinner, McGonagall reunited them and they walked towards Hagrid’s.
“Please, tell me this isn’t what I’m thinking it is” said Malfoy.
It was exactly what he was thinking: Forbidden Forest time.
“Cause it went sooooo right every time we entered the FORBIDDEN Forest” added Hewitt after McGonagall left them.
“But now you’re grown-ups, you can deal with it. Now let’s split up. Ron, Mione and Harry take left. Raul, Lorena and Marta take right. Ingrid, Malfoy and Sunnie straight ahead” said Hagrid.
“And what exactly are we doing?” asked Ron.
“Looking for... weird behavior” answered him.
“Weird behavior. But Hagrid that’s exactly what we did on our first year” said Hermione.
“Oh, but that’s... d-different" he answered.
“Hagrid, what are you hiding? We are not kids anymore” said Sunrise.
“Enough. Go on before it gets too late” he said.
They all whispered “Lumus” lighting up the way and begin their search.
“What do you think is going on?” asked Ingrid.
“I don’t know, but Hermione is right, that’s what happened when Voldemort came back” said Hewitt.
“You think he-” started asking Ingrid.
“No! Voldemort is dead for sure. Yet, somehow, this makes me even more worried” she answered.
A little bit farther, Ron, Hermione and Harry had the same conversation.
“I mean, I’d feel him, wouldn’t I?” asked Harry.
“I don’t know, Harry. There’s no way to know” answered Hermione.
“They would. They would feel the Dark Mark, right?” asked the boy again.
“It’s not like there’s a way of him coming back. Is there?” asked Raul.
“I don’t think so. I wish we were with them” answered Lorena.
“I don’t. Poor Ingrid, third wheeling to Draco and Sunny” said Marta.
“That’s all you think about?” asked Raul.
“That’s all I choose to think about. We can’t control if Voldemort is back or not so I’m not worring about-” she sunddenly stopped.
They stopped to see two beautiful women, one of them with short blonde hair and a very soft face and the other with long black hair and a remarkable face. They slowly walked toward them, the black haired one placed a book on Lorena’s hand and the other placed a time-turner on Marta’s. And just like they appeared, they were gone.
On the middle path, Ingrid, Draco and Sunrise also were surprised by an apparition. A man with an angry face walked to Sunrise and placed an old boot on her hand disappearing right after. The golden trio also had a visit by some other man who also had an angry face. He walked to Harry and place on his had a prophecy.
“Did we just met...?” they all began saying.
THE UNTOLD TALE | Chapter IX
Draco Malfoy
Summary: brought back to Hogwarts, Sunrise must face the truth about her past while trying to find out the real reason they’re back.
So my dumb 4ss got confused and posted the wrong chapter in Chapter VII. But thanks to @amber-arsenault I edited it. Please, guys, check it out cause that one has one of my favorite bits so far. Hope you guys are enjoying it. Also, as we reach a point after the Battle, I DON’T KNOW WHAT GIFS TO USE! HELP ME! Lol.
“Okay, so we’re being hunted... But why are we back here? Couldn’t they keep us safe somewhere else?” she asked.
“Yeah, that part is a mystery to me too. Also, why are they here?” he pointed at the rest.
“There must be a reason why we’re here now” said Hermione.
“Idea: why don’t we do what we always do. Hermione goes to the library, Harry pays attention to every detail and I wait” said Ron.
“That’s actually not a bad idea” said Hermione standing up.
“I didn’t mean right now” Ron followed her outside.
“In the meantime, I suggested neither of you walk alone” said Harry.
“Really, Harry? I’m 23, I’ve fought Lord Voldemort when I was 17 and erased all of the wizardly world memory of me and you’re telling me to walk with company cause it’s too dangerous?” joked Hewitt.
"Fine, do it your way” answered Harry knowing his cousin temper.
The girl was actually pretty scared. Being hunted down? It beter be a very untasteful joke. She was not prepared to deal with any drama again. She had been living a very boring and pacific life. Still, she refused to let anyone know about this.
“Hewitt, are you going to watch the game today?” Draco said siting next to her.
“Uh, yes” the girl answered.
“Maybe we should go together... you know, because of the hunting stuff” he quickly added.
“Ok, I’ll be waiting for you at our common room”
Draco Malfoy was also scared but didn’t want to tell Hewitt anything about it because he knew the girl could pretend better than him to be brave. The only way to protected themselves was to jump into any excuse to hang together stand alone. Of course, it wouldn’t be hard on him, after all, the best part of his childhood was when she visited him during all summer. He enjoyed her company and, despite anything she might say, he knew she did it too.
So excuse by excuse, Draco Malfoy and Sunrise Hewitt spent every time they could together. Meanwhile, Harry Potter silently observed his cousin listening to him and felt less worried about her. Hermione Granger couldn’t found anything on why they were there. And Ron Weasley kept saying it was probably to protect the former Death Eaters.
On the week before Christmas and the Founder Ball stranger things started to happen. Not enough to spark everyone’s attention but enough to make everyone go silently mad wondering their sanity.
THE UNTOLD TALE | Chapter VIII
Draco Malfoy
Summary: brought back to Hogwarts, Sunrise must face the truth about her past while trying to find out the real reason they’re back.
This is my first HP fic, it sets in a world the books were published to hide the whole truth about magic so it’s not chronologically correct, just go with it, please. Excuse my broken English. It’s quite a trip the whole thing and it takes a while before heating up. And if you have read my other stories, YES, I DO USE THE SAME NAME! A LOT.
“Ok, I came before Sunrise because I want to make some deals here” said Hermione sitting down.
“Here we go” said Ron.
“No, this is serious, guys. This part of the story is very serious, lots of death. As you know damn well, Ronald” she added to the boy rolling his eyes “she was very close to Fred and it’s a tough topic to her. This whole part is hard on all of us but she does blame herself a lot because the whole Death Eaters parents” she finished as the girl walked in followed by her Slytherin colleagues.
Silence took place as they sat down. Not even Marta said a word.
“What? No questions today? Oh lord, did Hermione give you a ‘be cool’ speech?” she added.
“No, I didn’t” she denied while Ron tried to hold back a laugh.
“Okay. You guys can make questions, I know Marta has at least 4 of them” the girl laughed a bit.
“Only the one Ingrid asked last night” she added shyly.
“Oh, where did I stay during summer? With the Weasleys, obviously. They didn’t trust me enough to let me go get Harry and I was accused of betraying them when everything went south but Ginny stood up for me stating the obvious: there was no way I could’ve told anyone about it. It was a terrible night, we were so worried about everything going wrong as we waited them to come back. Also, this is a bit I never talked about with you guys,” she added to the trio “but when I found out that Voldemort had set the Death Eaters in Azkaban free my heart went insane. What did he do with my parents now that he knew I was a traitor? It took way too long for me to get an answer to that question but Molly made me feel better with all her warm. You see, there are two sides of a coin: my mother was friends with Narcissa but my father used to work with Arthur and they grew a bond over work. Harry, Ron and Hermione didn’t trust me and didn’t include me on their plans so I spent most part of the summer with Ginny and... Fred. You know, helping with the wedding”.
“Did you go to Hogwarts that year?” asked Marta not so shy anymore.
“No” simply answered Sunrise.
“What? But you said they didn’t trust you...” asked Raul.
“And they didn’t. At least, not until Dumbledore’s Will”
“His... Will? He left you something?” asked Lorena.
“Yes. He left me a Mokeskin pouch, you know, this small bag which no one but the owner can get what is inside. Like Harry’s! Scrimgeour made me put my hand inside and check if there was anything. Obviously, I lied and tried to keep my best poker face on. He didn’t really buy it but there was nothing he could do. Later that night, I saw Hermione going to the boy's room and tagged along. They resisted until I told them there was something inside the pouch. I took it off and was a letter in Dumbledore’s writing saying: ‘Other things may change us, but we start and end with the family’ by Anthony Brandt. I asked them if they knew what he meant. Was I supposed to go back to my parents? That didn’t make sense. But, as usual, Hermione knew the answer”
“Oh, come on, this one was not that big deal. I just figured that Dumbledore wouldn’t let anything that wasn’t related to the Horcrux and Voldemort. So, I thought: it all started with Harry’s mother protecting him” she explained.
“Okay, but why did he leave it to Sunny instead of Harry?” asked Ingrid.
“Because she was there, remember? That night she was there. So if ‘we start and end with the family’ that could only mean Dumbledore wanted Sunrise to be a part of it. We explained her everything and she agreed to come with us. Which was great because every time Harry pretended that he wasn’t feeling his scar she would tell on him” explained the girl.
“Having extra help was also very nice” said Ron.
The ginger kept telling their stories which was a relief to Sunrise.
“So they took us to the Malfoy Manor and that was when we thought everything was going down the drain. You see, Hermione didn’t have time to transfigure Sunrise so we were scared about the Death Eaters reaction to her” he finished.
“And our fears were completely right. It took a while for them to notice who I was. Everyone made to be in front of me, hiding me as long as they could. Of course, it didn’t last. As Bellatrix surrounded us, she saw me. So when everybody else went downstair to the dungeons I stayed with Hermione to be tortured” Sunrise’s voice weakened and Harry took over the story telling.
“Ha, here’s a bit for the Dr-what's the name again?” interrupted Ron when Harry was talking about their escape of the Room of Requirement.
Nobody seemed to understand him.
“You know, when you think these two should be together” he said pointing at Sunrise and Draco.
“Oh, Drunrise!” quickly answered Marta, clearly excited about some brighter news.
“Yeah, that was when I started to suspicious something happened between these two...” he said staring at them “Sunrise didn’t hesitate to go back for Malfoy”.
“Nothing happened between us” said a tired Sunrise.
But Harry moved on with the story telling, he knew it was too much to Ron or Sunnie to talk about what happened next. He’d still remember her loud screams when she saw her best friend lying dead. He’d blame himself for Fred’s death but he knew nobody carried more unfitted blame than his cousin. She has always attributed to herself the mistakes of her parents and he didn’t think it was fair. It was true that he had blamed her in the past put it was different. He knew he could count on her like the cousin he wished he had all those years at the Durleys. Their bond was never broken and he would love whenever he went out with Ginny and his cousin tagged along. She was always distant to him, almost as if she was ashamed, a feeling he never understood.
She stood by him at the Hogwarts Battle, she never quit not even when she thought she’d have to fight her own parents. Harry remembered how happy she was when she saw his uncle and aunt changing sides right at the beginning of the Battle. He also could hear her voice telling him afterwards that she felt what he was doing and knew she couldn’t stop him, so she stepped outside the castle so nobody could see her reaction when he did what he had to do. Even if his bond to Voldemort broke, he and his cousin never stopped feeling what each other did. Thankfully, it was a cold or some broken bone and not death.
“And that’s the end. So far. Actually, there’s more stuff but, you know, not relevant to the story in matter” ended Sunrise.
Silence took place. Nobody knew what to say so Hermione took the chance:
“So, can we please focus on why we’re back here now?”
“What do you mean?” asked Marta.
“I’ve been thinking about it, actually. Voldemort is very very dead. There’s no dark wizard or witch on the rise. So what could it be?” added the slytherin girl.
“Why does it have to be something?” asked Harry.
“Because it always is!” answered Sunrise.
“Maybe we should talk to Hagrid?” suggested Raul.
“You know what? That’s not a bad idea...” agreed Hermione.
“There’s no need for that. Actually, I’m surprised you don’t know, Hewitt” interrupted Malfoy.
“What I don’t know?” she raised an eyebrow.
“All over the country vengeful Death Eaters have been rising. Their plan is basically to destroy the Death Eaters who betrayed Voldemort... Ring a bell?” he answered.
THE UNTOLD TALE | Chapter VII
Draco Malfoy Summary: brought back to Hogwarts, Sunrise must face the truth about her past while trying to find out the real reason they’re back. A LOT.
Right after she finished telling the stories about their fifth year in Hogwarts, Sunrise turned her party mood on. Every time somebody tried to talk to her about something serious, she’d go and scream about the song they were listening to. It was easy to pretend when they were drunk. A few drinks later, they all decided to call it a night and go to sleep.
By that time, Blaise and Ingrid were pretty intimate. Holding hand and stopping every five seconds to hook up. Draco and Sunrise were trying to babysit them to their dorms.
“I guess my mother’s life’s dream has just came true: I’m a father” joked Malfoy.
“Does that make me a mother?” teased Hewitt.
“Chill out, we’ve only kissed when we were fifteen remember?”
“Ouch! Fair enough. In my defense, Ron was about to have a heart attack, didn’t want to add up to that”
“Why not?”
“Draco, they’re still my friends”
“Do they? I mean, I know you all gathered to fight Voldemort in the end but they pretty much didn’t try to see how you were when the whole Death Eaters parents thing happened”
“I know, but they were full of things to worry about”
“Including you literally sleeping with the enemy”
“We didn’t sleep together”
“You know what I mean”
“I do... it’s just... ugh, complicated”
“What’s complicated? Just kiss already” said Ingrid hugging Sunrise.
“Very funny. I wasn’t talking about me and Draco” answered Hewitt trying to hold the girl.
“Don’t be sad, Draco, I'm pretty sure she’ll come around” cheered Blaise.
“Blaise, she’s standing right here and there’s nothing to come around” answered Draco.
“Okay, sure, we’ll keep your secrets” they both said running inside their common room.
“I should help him... Bye, Hewitt”
“Bye, Malfoy”.
“Okay, so summer at the Malfoy Manor part two, please!” required Marta.
Hermione tried to signalize her to be quiet but wasn’t very effective.
“Uh, sure. So, my parents were locked down” she stared at Marta who made a very embarrassed face “and so were Draco’s dad. As you might figure, Voldemort is not- was not the forgiving kind. There were non-stopping meetings at the Manor and during one of them he decided that Draco and I had a mission”
“Uh-oh” said Lorena predicting what she was about to say.
“Uh, yeah, exactly what you’re thinking. Voldemort wasn’t that trusting that I was on their side and he wanted to revenge the failed mission, so... that’s the story about how I became a Death Eater” the girl rolled her sleeves up so they could see the Dark Mark’s scar.
Not even Marta could find words to say. Hermione, Harry and Ron couldn’t face the girl. And Draco Malfoy, seemed very bitter.
“So, that year, when I met Harry, Ron and Hermione at Malkin’s I stayed hidden behind the clothes. I knew they’d be not that shaken by the fact I’ve spent another summer at the Malfoy Manor, but as I thought about going out, I heard Harry facing Narcissa. He said something about asking her fellow Death Eaters to help her. I froze when I heard it. And right after he said something about getting a couple cellar in Azkaban. I know you never meant it like that, but I was so scared back then that my stupid brain only processed that” she added the last part to Harry. “I was hoping for them to leave before so they wouldn’t see me”.
“Yeah, about that... I actually did sort of on purpose the whole storm out” confessed Draco.
“Oh, I’m so surprised” faked Hewitt.
“Well, at least I saved you from going inside that Weasley shitshow” he added.
“Take it back” she said.
“No” he simply answered.
“Take. It. Back” she managed to say each word slowly and calmly
“Fine. I take it back” he didn’t actually give in but he knew that with Sunrise Hewitt it was either losing the battle or spending the whole night fighting.
“I’ll be the first to admit that I truly believed Sunrise was guilty of something. Her behavior and the fact she was with Malfoy all the time when I was already suspecting of him, I don’t know... I just kinda knew” said Harry.
“So, you’ll be the first to admit you were right? So noble, Potter!” teased Malfoy.
“Shut up, Malfoy”.
“Okay, I can’t hold it back anymore cause, you see, I’m now a Drunrise shipper-” started Marta.
“What’s a Dr- that thing?” asked Ron.
“A person that thinks Draco and Sunny should end up together” explained Ingrid.
“I’d like if you stopped treating this as a young adult novel, please. I’ve avoided this kind of thing for six years for a reason” asked Sunrise.
“Not gonna happen” Ingrid, Marta, Raul and Lorena said at the same time.
“I’ll just ignore you, then”.
“So... as soon as I got inside the train all I wanted was finding my friends and seating with them but something hit me: what if they hated my guts? Or even worse: what if they saw my Mark? So, I tagged along with him. Now when Harry tried to spy on us, which only confirmed my worst fears because it meant he didn’t trust me to spy for them don’t give me that look you know I’m right, I was there and I saw him”.
“Oh I remember that day, Draco travelled laying his head on my lap” added Pansy.
“I miss the days you didn’t show to those meetings and, you know, five minutes ago when you weren’t there” said Sunrise.
“Jealous much?” teased Parkinson sitting next to Malfoy.
“Of what? Please. Moving on with the story” she tried to go on.
“I remember you stood up for Ginny, it made me feel a little bit guilty of not trusting you” said Harry.
“Of course I did! Playing the spy didn’t mean I had to pretend not liking you. It was no secret we were friends” added Hewitt.
“She’d tell how you ignored her and didn’t trust her and made her sad. And also, she knew you expected the worst of her. Oh, guess your trust issues were right” interrupted Parkinson.
“So when we were all leaving I was relieved nobody found out about Harry. It was until I heard Draco telling Pansy to go on without him. So, I came back for him. I tried to make him leave but he wouldn’t and that was when he gave up and told me stay. After all: I was one of them. I knew I couldn’t go back without him seeing and it would give away my disguise so I made a writing spell and dropped it. Tonks found it. That year was very very complicated. Harry was obsessed about Draco and he was sort of suspicious of me. He didn’t trust me to spy on Draco and I barely talked to them that whole year. The only time I did had a conversation was Harry interrogating me to see if I was part of the whole Draco’s plan”.
“And I was right!” said Harry.
“Yes, you were but I did what Dumbledore told me to do. You see, Dumbledore knew it was going to be hard for me to turn my back against them and I was better playing this spy role, he knew Snape would look after me. What he didn’t know was that Voldemort would insist that I became a Death Eater. Snape was ignored when he advised Voldemort against it and the whole thing happened. During that year, I had a mission to step up to Draco’s mission if he didn’t go through. I tried to warn Dumbledore a million times but he told me it was alright and he had everything under control. It got to a point he stopped meeting me. Snape told me everything was going to be okay but it was consuming me. I was afraid for my family and for Dumbledore, Draco was pressuring me to help him because he was also scared”.
“I wasn’t scared” Malfoy defended himself.
“Yes, you were. And it’s okay. It was a task that not even Voldemort dared to do himself. So, my friends weren’t talking to me and I was under major pressure. The only person with whom I could talk was Draco. That year we grew pretty close”.
“Hmmmm, I see” said Marta.
“So I created this fantasy that when the time came he would switch sides. I mean, he was deliberately self-sabotaging every chance he had to kill Dumbledore. That night, I was with him and I know, despite what you may say, that if the Death Eaters didn’t enter the tower, you would’ve switch sides” she added to Malfoy ignoring Marta’s comment.
“I-” the boy tried to speak but suddenly stopped.
“You were there and you didn’t stop Snape from killing Dumbledore?” asked Raul.
“First of all, Snape was told to kill Dumbledore. Second, it got me by surprise. I tried to hold back my scream but I couldn’t. So, my disguise went down the drain. Snape suggested the Death Eater to take me to Voldemort so he could decide my fate. As we escaped and Harry followed us, Snape told me and Draco to run away. That was when I managed to escape and help the Order at Hogwarts”.
“And did they believe in you?” asked Lorena.
“Of course, they did! Harry was paranoid but the rest of the Order knew I was on their side” the girl defended herself.
“I mean, I wasn’t the only one suspicious. Hermione and Ron also didn’t believe you!” protested Harry.
“But if you were staying with the Malfoys during summer... where did you go that summer?” asked Ingrid.
“Uh, can we leave the rest for tomorrow? I’m tired and those are difficult thing to talk about, you know?” asked Sunrise.
“Sure... I’m sorry” apologized Marta.
The Slytherin girl gave a shy smile and stood up to get some drink, followed by Malfoy. Meanwhile the rest of the group began chatting about their classes and regular stuff.
“So... thank you for leaving our conversation out of it” thanked Malfoy.
“I- I just- It's not something I want them to know either” she said.
“Oh sure, you don’t want them to know you actually care about me, right?” said Draco making the space between their faces smaller.
“You wish” smirked Sunrise.
“Yeah, cause saying ‘You could come with us, you heard what Dumbledore said, our families will be protected. We will be protected. You know you don’t want to do this. Come with me. Please’ was completely platonic” mocked the boy.
“Not as much as remembering it word by word” answered the girl leaving him behind to joying the conversation about the next Quidditch game.
THE UNTOLD TALE - Chapter VI
Draco Malfoy
Summary: brought back to Hogwarts, Sunrise must face the truth about her past while trying to find out the real reason they’re back.
This is my first HP fic, it sets in a world the books were published to hide the whole truth about magic so it’s not chronologically correct, just go with it, please. Excuse my broken English. It’s quite a trip the whole thing and it takes a while before heating up. And if you have read my other stories, YES, I DO USE THE SAME NAME! A LOT.
“I know you guys are curious but it’s Saturday! Give me a break” Sunrise tried to argument after lunch.
“You left us with a major cliffhanger and now you want us to wait till Monday?” said Marta.
“Ugh! Fine. You’re so annoying!” the girl finally gave up.
“Don’t worry, she says that a lot about me too” Draco invaded the conversation.
“Okay, the hardest part is over, right?” she thought to herself even though she knew the answer was a big fat no. The next part wasn’t that hard to tell, not worse than the whole “My parents are Death Eater” thing. Of course, it embarrassed her a little bit. Maybe a lot. But it was not something wrong per say.
“Marta told me you were having second thoughts about telling your story today...” Ron began a few minutes later when Sunrise escaped to them.
“Here we go. Just say it” the girl encouraged.
“What happened during the summer? You never told us the complete story and I know it! I know it because Ginny told me to let go” he stormed.
“So you should” added Hermione.
“What? You know too? And you never told me? Come on! Harry, mate, are you going to tell me you knew too?” he sounded a little bit desperate.
“I mean, you were the one too busy with Lavender” Harry defended himself.
“Oh, great. Yeah, and you didn’t have time later” Ron said.
“Well, we were indeed a little busy, you know, trying to be alive and destroy Voldemort” Sunrise justified.
“I can’t believe I’m as excited as Marta for tonight’s session” he sighed.
Apparently, Sunrise was the only one who wasn’t excited. Even though deep down she felt a little something trying to organize everything in her mind. She knew that trying to hide anything would be impossible because Draco Malfoy would be in the room. She was also not ready to deal with Pansy Parkinson.
“Okay, let’s make it quick” later that night Sunrise stormed into the room.
It was sort of a relief to Sunrise that the only Slytherins there were Ingrid, Draco and Blaise.
“There isn't no way it’s going to be a quick one. Plus, it’s Saturday. We should party a little bit” said Draco.
“Yes, we should” agreed Raul.
“So... summer!” said Ron.
“What? Only girls talk?” Malfoy teased.
“So, summer that year was... weird” she began.
“Interesting” observed Draco.
“Obviously my parents explained me the whole Death Eater thing, it went like: ‘We were young and naïve. Narcisa is, as you know, one of my best friends, and she kept telling me all the things her husband heard the Dark Lord was doing to those who didn’t stand with him. So, to protected ourselves and our baby, you, we decided to join him. We never knew anything about Lilian and James. Honestly, do you think I’d left you in their house on the night the Dark Lord was going to kill them? As soon as we heard, we stormed off to tell them but it was too late. There’s a lot of wrong in what he does but you need to understand that things were out of control before him. We were scared. We still are’. And that was why they sent me to spend my summer on the Malfoy Manor. Trying to create a bond between me and Malfoy. She and her best friend wanted their children to be friends, meanwhile it was important to her to make me understand my place into this whole thing. When the summer was over-”
“NO!” she heard at least three voices screaming.
“You’re not going to drop the whole ‘spent the whole summer with Malfoy’ and not give us details” said Ingrid.
“The audience claims, Hewitt” added Malfoy.
“Fine. It was not that hard for us to... co-habit the same house. We tried to keep our distance at the beginning but my mind wandered to Dumbledore asking me to spy on them so I tried to befriend Draco. At the beginning it was mostly playing chess. Narcissa seemed really happy that we were finally getting along so she suggested a trip to their vineyard which we did. Every afternoon, right before tea”
“You drank tea with Malfoy?” asked Ron.
“Ron, shut up!” whispered Hermione.
“Uh, yes. And had dinner with the whole family. That was my summer. Now back to Hogwarts-”
“Funny” interrupted Malfoy.
“What?” asked Ron.
“Nothing. I just- I remember different. Well, I wouldn’t say different, just... more” teased Draco.
“Maybe because it meant a lot to you” said Sunrise.
“What exactly, Hewitt?” by this point the whole room was silently following their debate.
“Oh, for Merlin’s beard! Tell us” said Ron.
“There’s nothing else to tell” insisted Sunrise.
“Well, I’ll tell then. After one of our trips to the vineyard, Pansy came visit me and, well, you know Pansy, she’s always over me” Blaise and Draco laughed a bit. “Of course, she stayed for tea, some chess and dinner. The next day, she appeared as well and it went on for over three days”.
“Three days? You meant three weeks” corrected Sunrise.
“I thought you didn’t remember, Hewitt” there was victory on Draco’s face.
“It’s starting to come back to me”
“Right, anyway, at some point she stopped because her family took a trip to whenever. On our first day free of Pansy, Sunrise made sure to make fun of her all day long. And, to be honest, it was pretty fun. After dinner, we went outside to see the stars-”
“Wait a second...” Ron tried to say something but Hermione stopped him with her angry face.
“And she went on making fun of Pansy and how much she throws herself at me-”
“I want to make a remark that I didn’t know back then that this was an anti-feminist behavior” added Sunrise.
“I can’t believe you interrupted me for this. Back to the ki- story," his mistake was planned to tease everybody “She was making fun of Pansy, something like ‘Oh, Draco, you’re so handsome. Oh, Draco, please, invite me for dinner’ always reaching out as a very exaggerated potentially more touchy desperately in love Pansy Parkinson but what sell the deal was the ‘Oh, Draco, kiss me’. And I did. Now you can go back to the Hogwarts part” he finished very pleased with himself.
“I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU KISSED DRACO MALFOY!” scream Ron in disgust.
They all started talking over each other.
“Okay, guys! I was 14-” she began.
“About to be 15 and there was-” corrected Draco.
“LATER!” she added.
“What? Oh, I wasn’t ready. I’m not sure I can keep on listening to this. It’s way worse than you and Fred. Way!" said Ron.
“Hey, Ron! Frend and I were friends!” Sunrise was about to cry.
“Yeah, sure” said Ron.
“I think we should talk about the school year” added Hermione,
“Right” the girl whipped her tears. “The school year. There was a gray area for me: should I back up Harry’s story or help the Death Eaters saying he was lying. I haven’t had new from Potter or Dumbledore during the entire summer so I only found out what to do after my first day. Dumbledore told me to do as I felt like. I decided to keep it quiet but it didn’t last long. After my first class with Umbridge listening to her saying my cousin was a liar I couldn’t keep it inside so I automatically said ‘he’s not lying’. She wasn’t pleased at all. I got tons of detention for standing up for him. I wasn’t talking a lot to the others because I was ashamed, that year I spent basically all my time with Malfoy and his gang. So, when I showed up to the Dumbledore’s Army it was a surprise to everyone”.
“Except for me, obviously” added Hermione.
“Hermione invited me after she found out I stood up for Harry and I attended to every meeting. But at some point, Draco started to get suspicious and I knew I had to do something about it and when Edgecombe denounced us, I saw the perfect opportunity. Draco had given me a hint that it might happen in the very near future so when it did, I was prepared. Now, an important information is that nobody knew I was playing spying on the Death Eaters. So, when we were running away and I captured Harry I had to give him a hint. I said ‘Dumbledore knows’. Which, now, I recognize wasn’t the best idea. After that I joined the Inquisitorial Squad and back then I received a letter from my mother, she sent through Draco because she knew he wasn’t being checked on and it was alright for him to read it. She asked me to spy on Harry. In order to spy on them I had to pretend to spy on Harry. Dumbledore advised me to do it. Another important information: I was having episodes in which I woke up very confused, sometimes with convulsions but ignored it. What I didn’t know is that it was due to the whole Harry-Voldemort story. It only hit me when we were taking the O.W.L.s. As you may know, Harry had an episode and fell off his chair. The same happened to me”.
“Did you have visions?” asked Lorena.
“No, it was all blank. I felt a lot of headache but that was all. Harry asked me that too when we were alone. When I said I didn’t, he told me what he had seen. I knew it was probably a playout by Voldemort but what if it wasn’t? I wanted to help my cousin, so I joined him. I knew I could disguise quickly as somebody who were helping to drag Harry to Voldemort if that was needed. I was very confused and there was no one responsible to help me at that moment. As you also may know, we got caught”.
“You know what? The whole image of Malfoy leaning back on the window, holding you against his body with a smirk just got even worse after the summer thing” said Ron.
“Funny story: I let her go when we walked outside the room to require Professor Snape’s presence. I guess she couldn’t run because it was going to be way to obvious to both sides” added Draco.
“How did you keep your spying status while helping Harry?” asked Marta.
“I didn’t have to. My parents attacked me right after we started running so I wouldn’t blow my cover to them. I blacked out till the end of it all” the girl explained.
“And your parents were sent to Azkaban?” asked Raul.
“Yes” a little bit of sadness could be heard in her voice.
“But... what did you do? Where did you go to?” asked Marta.
“I spent the last school days avoiding everybody” she tried to avoid the real question.
“Okay, but both of your parents were arrested, where did you go?” asked Marta again.
“Isn’t it obvious? To my family’s place” said Malfoy.
“You know, there’s something we never talked about” added Harry.
“What?” asked Sunrise.
“Even though everybody was sick worried about me when we arrived at the station, Lupin told me they all tried to argue about that with Dumbledore. About you spending your summer with the Malfoy. I remember he told me that Dumbledore made that choice because it was the best decision for your safety but also for you heart, in a way, we could never understand what you were going through but Malfoy could”.
The girl was speechless. She knew it was true, but she hated that summer so much that she couldn’t help but feel angry about it.
“I know it was another sad day but it’s Saturday! Let’s try to shake it off. It was years ago. Am I right?” said Ron.
“Right” one of Sunrise’s least favorite thing was pity, so she was glad somebody changed the conversation.

It’s quite a trip the whole thing and it takes a while before heating up. And if you have read my other stories, YES, I DO USE THE SAME NAME! A LOT.
The next day was, well, a headache to everybody. Partying on week days sounded better when they were planning. It was kinda funny how they were 23 years old but still acted like their teen selves. Hermione was worried about the reason why they were back, Ron claimed she was paranoid and Harry kept his secret pains to himself. Marta was overly excited about basically everything, Raul was hitting on every girl, Lorena was the center of attention, stealing even Harry’s spotlight and Ingrid was quietly admiring everything. Pansy spent the next day throwing herself to Draco, Emily was following Pansy around and doing everything she told her to, Crabbe and Goyle did the same with Draco, Draco and Blaise were all secretive about something nobody else cared. Meanwhile, Sunrise was a walking panic attack, scared about what she was going to tell them tonight.
“I have an announcement tonight” said McGonagall. “We’re pleased to announce our Founder’s Ball”.
The Founder’s Ball was a tradition that died back in the 80s and came back right after the Battle. Apparently, it was a ball celebrating the founders. You know, an excuse for people to dress up and dance.
“On Christmas night, prepare yourselves to celebrate our founders” added McGonagall.
The girls were overly excited. Sunrise would love to feel excited but her last ball wasn’t as exciting as she expected.
She finished dinner and walked to their meeting ready to talk about that story.
“So, fourth year. I’m particular curious about that one” said Marta as soon as she walked into the room.
“And what are you not curious about?” said Parkinson.
“Nobody asked you anything, Parkinson” Sunrise defended her friend. “I got to admit, the World Cup was pretty cool, it’s something to be excited about, indeed”.
“I wasn’t talking about it” Marta tried to redirect the conversation.
“I am! Did you watch it live? I know the Weasleys took Harry and Hermione, did you tag along?” asked Raul.
“Uhn, no. My mother is friends- sorry, best friends with Narcissa Malfoy so I went with them. But I spent every second that I could with the Weasleys” said Sunrise.
“Let’s get started, then. Triwizard Tournament. Everybody was really excited and it was very disappointing when Dumbledore announced that we couldn’t apply. Well, I wasn’t disappointed. I was glad. To be honest, I was terrified about it. I mean, they literally stopped doing those because people were dying. Oh, by the way, we agreed to keep it a secret that I was Harry’s cousin. Only the three of was, my family and Dumbledore talked about it. My parents told me that they never told me because Dumbledore asked to. Back to the Tournament, when the announcement arrived, I couldn’t be less excited. I only woke up from my numb condition when they called for Harry. I was super scared about the whole Tournament and knowing that my cousin and one of my best friends was going to be a part of it made me terrified. Also, a little bit sad that he ignored all my lectures about how dangerous it was and all Hermione’s advices to don’t try it. It all came down a few minutes later when my own name was called out”
“WHAT?” Marta screamed.

It’s quite a trip the whole thing and it takes a while before heating up. And if you have read my other stories, YES, I DO USE THE SAME NAME! A LOT.
“I mean, it does get worst every year” Sunrise said to Hermione during their break.
“I know! But, well, I suppose the worst was living it” answered the girl.
It was all fifty shades of weird taking classes after you graduated. But it was even weirder to attend to those classes when you were 23 years old and everybody else 17. Even Sunrise and Hermione, the most dedicated students of their year, weren’t feeling like watching those classes. Break was quite a great time. They agreed to avoid talking about their paranoia around the whole going back to Hogwarts six years late. Sunrise made herself sure that she’d keep the others busy talking about their lives so she wouldn’t have to talk about hers. Truth is, she kind of regret not taking credits for her past.
“Sunny, what about you? Dating anyone?” Hermione asked.
“Uh, no. Listen, I gotta go to, uh, do that... stuff with, uh, Slytherin” Sunrise left as fast as she could.
“Well, that was weird” said Ron.
Sunrise took all the time she could to walk to the Room of Requirement that night. It wasn’t the worst story of them all but it was definitely not her favorite. As she walked in everybody was there talking about places in Hogsmeade.
“Did you hear? Apparently, we’re allowed to visit Hogsmeade whenever we want as long as we don’t affect any other student or our schedule” said Marta overly excited.
“Let me guess: we’re going out tonight!” said Sunrise pretending excitement.
“YES! And Ginny is going to meet us there. There’s a new club that’s supposed to be awesome!” answered Marta still excited.
“Okay, let’s go get ready then” Sunrise turned her back to them.
“Not so fast! You own us a story...” Ingrid said.
“Okay okay. Third year.” the girl sighed “The year began with us together. Being friends again as it should be. That’s why when Harry, Hermione and Ron found themselves in the Shrieking Shack I was there with them. It was terrifying but when the whole thing started to come out, Sirius told me something that made me understand a lot about myself. He told me that I was Harry’s cousin”.
“What? But if your family is Harry’s family, why did he end up with the Dursley?” asked Raul.
“Ahn, yes, my father happens to be James’ brother” Hewitt answered.
“That makes sense, your father looks a lot like him” added Marta.
"Sirius said that when Harry’s parents died, they decided it was better if he grew among muggles. So, Sirius told me how close they were and how they were friends. And that when they passed, I was there at Potter’s house”
“Gasp!” said Ingrid.
“Gasp, indeed” added Lorena.
“So that all made sense. You see, whenever Harry felt his scar hurt, I’d have a terrible headache. I could speak parseltongue. My mother telling me to stay close to Harry. It all made sense in a very weird way. Of course, Harry felt a little mad”
“A lot” corrected Harry.
“because my parents didn’t rescue him from the Dursley but the main argument was that Dumbledore wouldn’t let them save him. But we’ll get to that later” she continued.
“No... you’re not leaving us with a cliffhanger like that” threatened Ingrid.
“Oh, you bet your ass I am” the girl teased.
“I’m bored. Let’s get ready to party” Pansy stood up walking to the door.
They all headed to their dorms to get ready to their night out. Sunrise wasn’t quite excited but she knew her friends were dying to meet the famous Hogsmeade and she didn’t trust her Slytherin mates not even a little. She put on her jeans, black boots, white t-shirt and black leather jacket. As always, she added a little snake to her look, this time, it was a necklace.
“Let’s go!” said Emily.
They left the room meeting up with the boys by the common room area and the rest of the gang outside the castle. The new club was really cool. Had a stage and everything. They headed to the bar and got drinks. The music was loud and the place cloud with the worst kind of people. But they didn’t care. They were having lots of fun. Sunrise was happy that Ginny tagged along with them, they grew really close in the past years.
“So, you and Draco, huh?” asked Raul.
“What?” Sunrise quickly answered.
“You know, do you guys like have a history?” he asked.
“We’ll get to that later” she simply answered and walked away.
As she reached back the crew, she saw Draco and Pansy kissing. She stopped for a second before being able to keep walking towards them. She noticed everybody seemed a little uncomfortable and she knew it was because of her. But she kept her chin up. Even when they stopped kissing and walked outside the bar, probably to more kissing.
“Are you okay?” asked Hermione.
“Why wouldn’t I be?” the girl said in a very unbelievable tone.
“I mean, you guys used to see each other, didn’t you?” said Ron.
“Why is everybody always assuming that Draco and I dated? Merlin, leave me alone. I’d never ever in a billion years would date Draco Malfoy” she said and turn around to leave the club but ended up hitting on Draco’s chest.
“So, never?” said Draco raising an eyebrow.
The girl took a deep breath and left the club, leaving her friends behind. Hermione tried to scream something about being dangerous to wander around alone during night but the girl ignored.

Sunrise watched her classes with her mind in the past. Questioning if there was something to do with the real reason they were back in school. Meanwhile, Hermione and Ron went back to their nature state of fighting. It was hard, as usual hanging with them. They didn’t have the same classes or shared the same meal table but always made time for each other.
“So, what are you really worried about?” Hermione asked as they sat by the river.
“Ahn... I guess I’m scared about what they’ll think about me after listening to it all. Also, we never talked about it.” Sunrise answered.
“I see... well, I think you will find out their opinion toward you won’t change a bit. I know ours didn’t. Which is one of the reasons we never talked about it.” the other girl answered.
“So, Miss Celebrity, are you ready for dinner?” said Pansy.
Parkinson, Bullstrode, Campos and Hewitt left their dorms to meet the boys at the common room. Sunrise slowed her steps so she could be left a little behind pulling Malfoy with her.
“Already, Hewitt?” smirked the man.
“Ha-ha very funny. Listen, I was thinking... Maybe you could lose a few Slytherins on our way to the Room of Requirement. You know, like, Pansy.” the girl whispered.
“I’d love to help you, indeed, Crabbe and Goyle are not joining us tonight. But I’m afraid your friend insisted Pansy, Emily and Blaise showed up.”

“So, Hewitt, are you ready for coming out?” Pansy laughed at her own joke.
“Why you have to make every meal a tragedy?” Sunrise asked.
“Come on, let’s go, this is going to be great!” said Draco standing up.
Sunrise wasn’t excited at all. To whomever look from the outside it was a normal history. Harry’s part was a lot more complicated. But the details of it kept coming to haunt the girl. She followed her house mates to the Room of Requirement where everybody else was. The girl has decided to tell everything per year, basing on the books, the published and the still to be published ones.
The others waited for them inside.
“Why are you looking like a group of Golden Retriever's?” Sunrise asked.
“Oh, I see, you’re a Slytherin so you have to be bitter. Niiiice.” said Marta.
“I’m not bi- oh, forget it. Can we get started before I regret it?” the girl sat down on one of the leather couches the Room got them.
To be quite honest, it was a pretty good room. It had two sofas, two armchairs, a piano and a bar. The girl didn’t know what they needed a piano but was really glad there was a bar. It was easier to promise then to tell the story. Now, facing her Hogwarts friends, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley and Harry Potter, her muggle world friend, Marta Belavista, Raul Silva, Lorena Montenegro, Junior Matos and Ingrid Campos and her House mates, Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, Emily Bulstrode, Vincent Crabbe, Gregory Goyle and Blaise Zanbini, it was all too much. She never came clean about what happened to anybody. She pretended it was all about Harry. It was easier. Raul, the Gryffindor boy, brought everybody some butterbeer. Sunrise took a sip, straighten up as everybody sat down and began to tell her story.

It has been six years since the last time she was in Hogwarts. It was both exciting and scaring. She hasn’t talked to her fellow colleagues for a while now. Of course, she and Ginny still going out for some butterbeer ever now and then but that was it.
“Welcome back to Hogwarts, Miss Hewitt.” said McGonagall.
“It’s nice to be back!” she found herself lying.
Great, three seconds in Hogwarts’ lands and she was already a liar again. It was indeed nice to be back at Hogwarts but she didn’t get why now. They’ve told them it was their choice to come back when the battle was over and most of them decided to not come back. Sunrise got back to get tested by the NIEMs.
Now, after all this time, they decided they all had to come back and actually finish the year. Obviously, they all felt like something was off. Well, at least Sunrise felt like it. Most people were actually excited to meet their friends again. But what people were really excited was the news: apparently people could relocate to another school and there was a lot of foreign students at Hogwarts.
“Well, Hewitt, you are going to act like a counselor monitor. You must welcome the ‘new’ students and help them to adjust. Now, I believe you miss your friends. You can meet them in the next room.” she added.
Sunrise made her way to the next room to meet up the folks but something held her back by the door. Only after a few moments and deep breathes she could manage to open the door.
GALACTICA - P9
Midge have had enough of space and yet there she was in the alien space ship trying to help Spider-Man and Iron Man to rescue Doctor Strange. As she prepared herself to let the boys know she was there, she listened to a weird conversation between Spidey and Tony.
“I guess this is not the proper time to let you guys know I’m also here, right?” she said landing besides Spider-Man.
“Holy shit!” the boy tried to put his mask back on.
“Dude, I have already seen your face. Plus, I’m a super hero too.” she said not doing the super hero pose for the first time.
“Great. I’m stuck here with two teenagers.” Tony said.
“I’m not a teenager, I’m 22 years old.” Midge said.
