On Supernatural S14...

So, tonight was the 7th episode of season 14, and I have been meaning to talk about some things that are happening. Some is good, some is bad, but I just feel like expressing a few opinions. 

One thing I would like to express right away, is that I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's episode, even though some elements I do not agree with, (which I make very clear below) I think the hospital scene was very cute, and I loved the Dean and Jack moments more than anything. I can say that so far, tonight's episode was definitely my favorite.

Ok so first on my mind, I am trying to act calm about this, but I can assure you I am very not.

When Nick was possessed by Lucifer in season 5, (which umm by the way was 9 years ago) Lucifer put him through so much. As we all know, Lucifer was Lucifer and not exactly... safe with his vessel. In my opinion Nick probably died very soon after being possessed. Even though I just recently finished re-watching the show, I cannot remember every detail of what went down with Lucifer’s vessel, but I do know that there is no way Nick could have remained intact throughout the years. Not to mention how Crowley literally had to rebuild Lucifer’s vessel when it was completely torn apart, AND he had the binding spell cast into the bones which personally I don’t believe anyone could live through even IF Nick was somehow still alive after everything else that happened. 

The only tiny explanation the show has given so far for Nick being alive is that “oh well the archangel blade only kills the angel, not the person” but as I’ve explained, there is no realistic was Nick was alive after all that time. His soul would have already been in Heaven/Hell for several years. 

He just simply should not be alive. The reason the writers brought him back I will never understand. At this point they have completely worn out the whole “Lucifer” plot-line and everything that has to do with it. 

This whole Nick thing a majority of why I haven't quite enjoyed this season a whole lot yet, with the ending of tonight’s episode, comes a whole package of conspiracy theories as to if Lucifer is somehow being summoned back to life again by Nick. I really really do not want Lucifer to come back, its getting redundant at this point, and it just ties to the point in which so many bad things are obviously coming because of Nick. The writers could have easily made other villains and “bad guys” out of something else, but yet it is all stemming from a character that has zero reason to exist. From the episode tonight it has made it obvious that the whole Nick wanting to find out who killed his family story-line was made just to introduce this big bad demon (or so we can only assume) that is going to be coming in the episodes to come. Idk if I am being over dramatic, but I am not here for this Nick story-line, not since the idea was introduced, not now, not ever.

 Anyways

The whole Nick thing is my main critique of the season, but there are some smaller details.

I’m still not completely comfortable with the whole idea of au bobby and charlie just being normal side characters now, like.... they’re not the bobby and charlie we love and it all just feels off to me. 

Another thing, Jack is obviously still the MOST precious thing ever to be created and does not deserve all that is being thrown at him. Like fine, I understand he lost his grace so he is dying, but it makes me mad. There is already so many struggles in this season so why does Jack dying have to be such a huge deal right now, can’t they focus on that later? When other shit is actually in control?? I do not believe they would kill Jack off realistically, but hey we never know. If they do, however, I will protest.

OH AND BTW WHEN CAS REFERS TO JACK AS THE THREE OF THEM”S SON  I COULD NOT HANDLE THAT OH MY GOODNESS

In the episode tonight, for the first time in a few episodes, we see a brief moment of a possible occurrence of Michael. We can assume this because when the archangel grace is being talked about is when dean’s vision first begins to turn all fuzzy, and happens again later in the episode when there is a slight underlying hint of a presence of Michael. And this is yet just another issue that season 14 needs to figure out by the end of the season. I feel like this season is being packed very tightly, with not all necessary things. I am just hoping the writers figure out how to work everything out that ties things together and doesn’t leave a bunch of loose ends like what is being done so far.

As I explained in the beginning, this episode is a personal favorite so far because of the heartwarming moments, but many of the last few episodes I have definitely not likes as well. The last episode: “optimism”... I did not personally enjoy. While new lore is good and I do approve of, why did it have to be so weird? I know this show gets weird, but the fly people was just a bit too much, at least for me. It’s not like I’m saying this season is bad, its just different and I am not used to it yet. I am just waiting for loose ends to be tied up, and for ends to meet.

All in all, with the power struggle in both Heaven and Hell, Jack dying, Nick murdering people, a possible new big bad demon, and Michael, I just honestly hope season 14 is able to get itself under control as a whole.

Happy Coming Out Day, everyone!

I’m a mix of bisexual/biromantic and demisexual, as well as not the most gender-conforming individual (I’m figuring it out).  Labels do help, and I found that so especially when I found the label “demi”.  But they also can at times restrict us.  Everyone’s different, no label will 100% describe everyone underneath it.  Nevertheless, I’m queer af and since I can’t come out to anyone I’ve already come out to (family-wise), I decided to do so on here (though who’s really surprised).

some rants about how spn s14 could turn out...

So today is the day where the 14th season of supernatural comes out!! First of all I’m so excited and ready, I know so much could happen and the last few months I’ve been thinking and thinking about all the possibilities that can happen in the 14th season.

First of all, Jack. Jack!! In the 13th season jack was new and introduced, and obviously very loved but he was new so there wasn’t anything super exciting that could happen. What I’m excited for in this season is the development of jack. Now that we know him and the characters all love him I’m so ready to see his arch and what becomes of him. He’s obviously going to be a big part of the show now which just leaves so many possibilities. All I want to see is the 3 or 4 of them (hopefully cas will be in this season more bc of jack) going hunting together and jack being able to use his abilities to help the boys. Jack will be able to help people and in doing so learn of his abilities and all he is capable of. It’s like when cas was new for instance, we didn’t know him much but he brought so much to the show. So many layers were unraveled of supernatural because of cas and now we get jack to give the writers so many new possibilities of episodes and twists.

And then of course Michael!Dean. I’m very interested to see what happens in the first few episodes because as most of us know or assume, normal dean will be back in the 3-4th episode. I hope we get to see some of deans side of his experience as Michael’s vessel and how he is feeling. I recently saw somewhere saying Michael wants to create super monsters, so will we see that? And will we possibly see new monsters? If so I hope they’re cool? But yeah I’m just overall ready to see how they (jack,Sam,cas) are able to get dean back and hopefully kill Michael.

Also sam, I hope that we get to see his reaction to Michael!Dean and how he is coping. What he does to get dean back, because we all know it can’t be good. Will he push jack and cas away? Or confide in them to help come up with any way possible to get his brother back? It’s been a while since a Winchester has done something terrible (sacrifice themselves or of that matter) for a while so I guess something could happen where sam makes a deal with some new big demon or supernatural creature to find a way of killing Michael. Oh and then there’s the fact of actually killing Michael. We all know it’s going to be chaotic with Michael in the world seeing that all he wants to do is control and terrorize it and Sam, cas, and jack are going to have to figure out everything with the super monsters and Michael. But, when Michael does die I really hope that it is sam who kills him because honestly he deserves it.

And where is cas in this? With jack in the show now as hopefully a main character now, I deeply hope that cas is in it way more than he has been. I understand a lot of people enjoy just the Winchester’s, but they need cas and jack needs all of them so they’re all perfect together. But anyways when Michael takes over dean, what does cas do? Will he help sam search the planet for a way to get dean back or will he stay in his room and be depressed? I mean he has to be strong for jack so I can only assume he will turn into bamf cas.

Angels!! Angels are so low!! The last thing we heard about the angles is that there were 11 at most and now with Gabriel and Lucifer dead, that leaves 9(and I guess 10 because new Michael?) but yeah their levels are declining which they failed to figure out in the last season. So.. who is going to be able to make new angels? Will jack be able to and is that something we might get to see? What if they’re not able to make more angels and all the ghosts turn up on earth?? But they’ll probably figure something out...

The alternative universe stuff was quite weird to me in season 13, but now that we’re all used to it there is the matter that 20 or so new people from the apocalypse world are in sam and deans universe, that includes au Charlie and au Bobby. So what I’m wondering is, will these au characters be retiring characters that we will see? Personally, I’m not sure if I’d want this. It’s weird thinking some of my favorite characters who are dead are magically alive again except they’re different people now. It’s not the same so I hope au bobby doesn’t turn into a new bobby.

Before watching season 13 I thought that the end was super near for this show. After finishing it though, I’ve thought a lot about it and there’s just so many possibilities with all they’ve given us in season 13, that there could easily be another 5 seasons. With having jack, the alternative universe characters, and all this unresolved conflict there is so much this show could do. And I believe it will be great. I am ready for season 14, bring it on.

The Evolution of Sam Winchester

So... on my rewatch of supernatural I’ve been noticing more things. I’ll end up posting more about that as well but, I wanted to state some things I’ve been realizing about the “evolution” of Sam.

Ok first of all, we all know Sam/ Jared has changed drastically over the period of what? Almost 14 years now? Wow. Yeah. So yeah we can all look at a picture of young Jared and compare it to one of today, and yes obviously it’s the same person but deep down, we all think “damn he looks so different”. He’s basically another person by the end of season 13.

I’m only on season 7 (basically season 8, I’m on like the last episode of 7) of my rewatch so far but this is what I’ve been able to figure out.

Season 1-3 : fetus Sammy

In these seasons, he’s basically just been birthed from the womb he looks so fetus. Every fan of supernatural looks back at the smol Sam and thinks to themself how much he’s grown and matured.

Seasons 4-8 : inbetween, (not quite awkward but kinda awkward?) phase of sam

Yes yes i know, first of all this is a big chunk of time so if I would split it more I’d probably say there’s another phase in this time alone but I’ll get to that later. Second of all, I don’t mean awkward in a bad way, just in a way that he’s not completely in his “full form” since I can’t think of any other words to describe it as. When watching these seasons, specifically 5-7 I can’t help but notice how he just seems different to me in a way, maybe it’s the weird sideburns (no offense if you’re a sideburn stan) or the longish but not sam long™️ hair. Just something isn’t 100% for me.

Seasons 9-13 : full form Padalecki

I would say this is the Sam Winchester in his full form we all know and love. Honestly when I see a picture of full form Sammy from season 13 or even 11, I feel almost refreshed in a way. This may just be that it’s Jared currently and is now the sam that we see in the current seasons. Or maybe just current Jared is my favorite Sam idk. This whole thing could be seen differently by another’s point of view but this is just mine.

I also wanted to say that those 3 chunks of “phases” were a bit big but I wanted to try to combine them into 3 so it would be less choppy if that makes sense.

If I had to make them smaller chunks (which I kinda prefer?) I’d do it like this -

Season 1-2 : baby fetus sammy

Season 3-4 : fetus growing up, mostly a growing phase between 2-5

Season 5-8 : “awkward” middle phase

Season 9-11 : grown Sammy, but not quite cooked 100%

Season 12-13 : full form Sam, the one we know and love

But yeah! That’s basically what I’ve been thinking about randomly today and decided to share. Thanks for anyone who takes the time to read this and oh, comment which version / season or phase of Sam is your favoriteeee!

Personal pros and cons of school starting

I’m not sure if other people will be able to relate to all of these but I feel like doing something so this is just kinda for me ig since school starts in 2 days ah

*Having something to do during the week

*appreciating the weekend

*no nightly existential crises bc I have actual things to worry about

*normal ish sleep schedule

*Actually having a schedule to follow

*escaping being trapped at home all day

*eating actual lunch you don’t have to make for yourself

*listening to your music in the halls with your earbuds and feeling like things are ok for 3 seconds

*making new friends

*Getting up early 😫

*worring about everything

*homework ugh

*teachers that just want you to fail

*presenting ohmygosh

*awkward small talk with teachers

*having to find your personality for each new class and each new teacher with a bunch of kids you know but don’t know

My re-watch of Supernatural pt 2

So I’m rewatching supernatural, it’s technically only my second watch through but I’ve seen most the eps many times but just not in order ig. Anyways there are like certain things from the first and second season (so far I’m only up to season 2) that I just completely forgot. Like the fact that they knew so little! Like having watched all of it and knowing of everything that happens and all they find out, its so crazy to be watching them be so clueless about the world they are living in. For example, in season 1, when John tells them about vampires, Dean makes a joke about it and they both look at their dad as if he is crazy. Also, when the boys go to bobby’s house because of the whole Meg thing in the S1 Finale, Sam finds the book about all the demon and other creature traps, and is astonished because he did not know they existed. Its just so weird seeing them so young and even though they (especially Dean) think they know about pretty much everything supernatural, they really know nothing.

My Re- Watch of Supernatural pt1

So, on noticing more things about the early seasons of supernatural; the parallels. The parallels are crazy and I wish I would have started writing them down sooner but anyways for an example here’s one I caught the other day.

We all know how much dean has changed, but it’s just rewatching this episode where dean is about to be taken by Tessa (02x01) compared to when he thinks Billie is going to take him (13x05) that makes me emotional.
