Guide on Floating Items Downward
First of all, I would like to thank Atticus who I learned a lot from and whose thread inspired me to make this guide.
This glitching technique can be used to hide items for contests in your houses and castles, place items out of the boundaries of your home or simply stack rugs and other items downward.
3 Small Blue Trim Rugs sold by Aubert Quickhammer in Wizard City Shopping District;
1 Scaffolding from Krokotopia’s Furniture vendor, Ea'rik;
1 Large Watcher Rug that you can purchase at the Bazaar.
Step 1: This glitch works best near a cliff or edges, so try to find a good spot like the image below.
Step 2: Bring the Scaffolding out of your Backpack and place one of the Small Blue Rugs on its upper platform, as shown below.
Step 3: Click on the Rug you just placed down and move it to the edge of the cliff (the Scaffolding will come with it).
Step 4: Take your Large Watcher Rug and place it nearby, with the two remaining Blue Trim Rugs connected to it.
Step 5: Using the middle Small Trim Rug, move it and place it on the lower platform of the Scaffolding.
Step 6: Now that your Large Watcher Rug is in the air, place whatever item you want on it. I will be floating a pet for this tutorial.
Step 7: All that remains to be done is removing the Rugs and the Scaffolding. To do that without picking up the item you want to float, click on the middle Small Trim Rug, rotate and pick it up. The Large Rug and Scaffolding will follow, leaving the first Small Rug that connected the Scaffolding to the ground. Pick it up as well and you’re done!
Keep in mind that this technique can be expanded to create a staircase going downward, for example. If you want to build one, follow this guide instead.
