Nightwing #141 review

Ok I'm writing this review a day late and sick rn so it's running short in both length and actual analysis.

BUT IT'S NIGHTWING WEEK SO LETS GO ON TO THE REVIEW!!!

Ok so the person speaking in the yellow narrator box is speaking in third person. So obviously not Dick as it's not his colored narrator box and also not speaking in first person. Is this the witch? I know I mentioned the new narrator box in one of my older reviews and how it could have been connected to the witch.

So Glad Dick is both done and not taking this guys shit take. His reaction is literally me whenever people always cry about why heroes aren't just murking people.

So Dick's innocence is proven but it almost feels bittersweet? This... Doesn't really feel like a win to be honest

Detective skills being put to use once again in this run (Oh how I love when writers remember this fact)

I really like how Watters is doing the relationship between the mayor of Bludhaven and Nightwing right now. The fact that instead of fighting against the mayor, the mayor almost idolizes and adores Nightwing for being HIS city's hero is interesting. Of course The mayor and Dick have opposing values making this even more interesting as Dick didn't even know this fact till he got the information out of the guy (and of course he doesn't like this). The statement on the last page "But I can't have you out there terrorizing my city. Terrorizing it's hero" oh man I really can't wait for when Nightwing meets this guy in person, I'm confident that watters will do this relationship justice and make it more interesting.

Anyways I actually really liked this issue solid 4.5. I will say that the half star drop will probably be the same complaints as everyone else in which something about the pacing felt off this issue. I can't put my finger on it. Really again the only consistent complaint about this whole run is just the pacing.

BUT other than that it was great. I can't wait for 142 and most importantly I can't wait to pick up where we left off after this event.
