⥠Salt âĄ
Now there are different kinds of salt you can use in your craft, but that begs the question: what kind should I use? So I decided to create this post so you can refer it to, write this in your grimoire or BOS, for when you need to include salt in a spell but donât know what kind to use.Â
Table Salt
Table salt is the least expensive of all other salt, as well as the most basic. Typically table salt is used home cleansings and purification. It can also be used for protection circles. if it is the only kind you have, it can be used to replace other salts depending on the intent.Â
Sea Salt
Sea salt is made by evaporting salt water, and thus contains minerals like potassium, iron, copper, silicon, and more. The lighter the salt, the lighter amount of minerals. Sea salt being related to the sea, is favored by those who prefer to use the sea/ocean in their magick. Sea salt is best for cleansing baths and purification. Primarily when it is emotional purification which needs to be done.Â
Himalayan Pink Salt
Himalayan pink salt is known for itâs color, a lovely soft shade of pink. It is connected to Earth, and specifically great for astral projection and spirit work. When himalyan pink salt is out, it absorbs psychic energy however when burned/heated it releases that energy. This can be great for providing a boost for a spell, or your own power in general.Â
Celtic Sea Salt
Celtic sea salt is known for being popularized in France, and has a light grey color in comparision to other salts. Due to the low amount of sodium in celtic sea salt, it considered to best for kitchen witchcraft.Â
Black Salt
Black salt as known for itâs name is black, and can be created when salt is mixed with ash or by being mixed with cocount ash. When it is mixed with coconut ash, this allowed it to be edible, and thus used for kitchen witchcraft. However, when it is not edible it is best used for protection against negativity. Â

Sweet Cream Buns
This recipe was given to me by a friend awhile ago, and I feel it needs a little more appreciation. Theyâre super easy to make and are tasty too!
I feel one thing a kitchen witch has to master is their ability to make all sorts of bread. Itâs such a staple, and is so versatile. Not to mention how much of a crowd pleaser it is.
This recipe is a tasty bun, that when bitten into, oozes vanilla custard. Whenever I make these, they are gone in the first ten minutes. I tweaked this recipe from one of my good friends who enlightened me on this yummy recipe. I highly recommend you to try these for yourself!
Now in this recipe I will be showing you three fillings that Iâm sure you will love!
- Vanilla Custard
- Chocolate coffee cream
- Brown sugar maple custard
Ingredients
For the Dough
œ cup all-purpose flour
œ cup bread flour
1 cup cake flour
A sprinkle of sea salt
1/3 cup sugar
1 packet of dry yeast
œ cup warm almond milk (Or any type of milk)
2 tbsp heavy cream
1 egg
3 tbsp butter
For the Vanilla Custard
5 tbsp sugar
2 œ tbsp flour
3 egg yolks
1 cup whole milk
1 Tablespoon butter
Vanilla Bean
Vanilla ExtractÂ
For the Chocolate Coffee Cream
6 tbsp sugar
3 tbsp flour
3 egg yolks
œ cup whole milk
1 Tablespoon butter
Πcup expresso/ brewed coffee
Milk chocolate/ dark chocolate/ Semi-sweet chocolate (Its up to you)
For the Maple Syrup Custard
5 tbsp brown sugar
3 tbsp maple syrup
2 œ tbsp flour
3 egg yolks
1 cup whole milk
1 Tablespoon butter
Directions
To prepare: Set your butter and eggs out 10 minutes before you start so they enough time to come to room temperature.Â
Start by filling a measuring cup with your milk and heat in your microwave for about 20 seconds, or until when you stick a (clean) finger in, it is just warm. If it is too hot, it will kill your yeast mixture. Add your dry yeast in and stir. Let it sit for 10 minutes to bloom.
Next, in a kitchen aid (If you have one) attach the dough hook and mix your flour, salt and sugar together. Now crack an egg into the yeast mixture and add it to the kitchen aid bowl on low speed. Add in warmed cream. Let the dough hook do its magic on medium low speed until the dough is very smooth and elastic.
Add in your butter 1 tablespoon at a time and let it mix until completely smooth. About 4-5 minutes.
Oil a bowl with some neutral oil, or with some butter and place the kneaded dough ball into the bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and place in oven with the light on, or in a warm area.
Leave it to rise for 2 hours, or until doubled in size.Â
Ok, so now poke your dough and let the gas leak out from the dough. Cut it into equal sized pieces and place cling wrap on it and let it rise for another 15 minutes or more.
In the 15 minutes, now is the time to make your custard cream. On high heat, add your milk and butter and let it come to a boil. Then turn down your heat and whisk in sugar, egg, and flour. Add in your additives (Vanilla, maple syrup. etc.) and mix on low heat until it has reached a thick pudding like consistency. About 6-12 minutes. If you are doing chocolate, here is the time to melt your chocolate in, when it is off the heat. Let it cool completely.
With a rolling pin roll out the pieces of dough and place a dollop of custard in the center. Fold them over and press/pinch the sides together. Repeat the process until all of them are like this.
Place them on a tray and wrap cling wrap over them. Let them proof for about an hour, or until theyâve doubled in size again.
Now with a nonstick pan on medium low heat, place the bun in the pan and cover with lid. Cook each side for about 5 minutes, or until it is a nice golden brown. You can also cook this in an oven. 400 F for 8-15 minutes.
Now your done! Enjoy this hot and cold, they are tasty either way. It will be a little crispy when hot and soft when cold.Â
I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Me when someone pulls the blankets off
Once upon a time, I read a quote from a fellow witch that I will never forget. It reads: âwitchcraft is not docile. Witchcraft is what I turned to when every other avenue failed me. It was a last grasp, the feral response to my own undoingâ (â via, The Traveling Witch). And, whilst to some this may seem like a far-fetched idea summed up in a melodramatic sentence, you may find that many of those who turn to witchcraft did so out of varying levels of necessity.
I was and am one of those witches; those feral, wild women who turned to powers higher than themselves and beyond the realm of understanding of many because I had nowhere else to go. I sought solace in magic, and I found it in the witchcraft I have been practising for a decade.
As you delve into the world of magic and witchcraft, you will see practitioners from every walk of life. You will see healers, and you will see those who do not shy away from baneful magic. You will see those with bloodied lips and bruised knuckles, whose magic is gritty and dirty and born of pain, and you will see those who preach love and light â those whose magic is gentle and born of happiness and laughter. Each of these paths are valid, as are all those inbetween, but none are docile, or without hard work and self-sacrifice. To be a witch is to be someone who gives themselves to their magic and in return, someone who is empowered by their choice to do so. Claiming your magic, is to claim your power in every sense â physically, spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually.

New Summer Flavors đđđ
Restocked with new flavors for the summer!
Florida Water- An edible take on a classic and magic staple. Crushed clove, dried lavender, and a light lemon flavor work in harmony to mimic the notes of Murray & Lanman Florida Water. Say a psalm and enjoy on these summer days.
Swamp Water- Growing up in Florida, Florida water is anything but cleansing. A playful take on swamps and the flavors of summers near the equator. Spirulina, also known as blue-green algae, permeates this pop giving it itâs swampy appearance. Coconut envelopes a preserved lemon slice which strikes a perfect balance between sweet coconut and sour lemon. Like a refreshing dip on a hot humid day. Now offering sample packs of all current 6 flavors on the menu, as well. [If you ordered in the last batch youâll be receiving a sample of the new flavors :)] I hope you enjoy them. Energy Work: Introduction to Fields Exercise
I want to start sharing more of my energy practice, here, and felt the best way to start doing that was to post an âintroductory primerâ. This meditation is designed to familiarize you with energy and its tactile properties. You can get some use out of this exercise regardless of your experience level (I still practice it, today), and itâs a great entry point for someone whoâs never even dabbled before. All youâll need to enjoy it is a comfortable, quiet place where youâre unlikely to be disturbed for roughly 30 minutes.
Tip: Donât try to follow along with this text as you perform the exercise. Instead, read it in its entirety before you begin. This way, you can avoid the distraction of scrolling or flipping pages during your meditation. That will kill your focus dead.
Step 1:
To begin, sit or stand in a comfortable position. Shake yourself out, paying particular attention to your shoulders and wrists. Do this until you feel loose and relaxed. Now, take a deep breath in, filling your lungs to the largest capacity possible. Hold the breath for a count to three, then exhale slowly, through your mouth. Concentrate on your breathing for as long as necessary to make it deep, slow and even. As you inhale, focus on the weight in the middle of your chest. Feel all the tension leave your body as you exhale. Draw your focus inwards, and feel your pulse as it travels through your body. Be still, quiet, and whole. Remain here until you are grounded and focused.
Step 2:
When you feel relaxed and grounded, raise your arms so that your elbows are up and away from your body. With your hands open, turn them so that your palms are facing each other in front of you. The palms of your hands should be roughly one foot apart, and one foot away from the core of your body.Feel your focus slowly travel from your chest, to your shoulders, and down through your arms. Sweep it down past your elbows and wrists until you are focusing on the palms of your hands. You may notice a tingling sensation, or a hyper awareness, in your fingers. Push this feeling out until you are focused on the space between your palms. The keyword is âpushâ. Feel a pressure building up between your hands; focus until that pressure is a dense weight.
Step 3:
With your attention still on the space between your palms, physically push them together. You should feel a slight resistance, or âbounceâ. Bring your hands together and back apart rhythmically, getting a feel for that resistance. Play with the energy you have gathered there, growing it, condensing it, passing it back and forth between your hands. Get a feel for its properties. This is âyouâ energy. Get to know it. Take as long as you need.
Step 4:
When you are finished, draw your hands back towards the trunk of your body. Press the tension you have built up against your chest and âbreatheâ it back in until nothing is left externally.
Repeat the earlier breathing exercise â inhale deeply, hold for three seconds, and slowly exhale through your mouth. Focus on your breathing until it is deep and regular. Bring your focus from your hands, back to your chest. Feel the weight there.
Slowly, begin rolling your shoulders. Roll your head on your neck, and shake out your arms, dispersing any tension. Shake your wrists and hands until they are loose and free. Feel yourself slowly wake from the deep relaxation you enjoyed earlier.
When youâre finished, engage in some mundane grounding activity, such as washing up, eating, or drinking. You might enjoy journaling your experiences so that you can reference them later on.
Excellent energy work basics. :)
no other person on this planet was made for you, they were made for themselves. love is all about choices. no one is going to be perfect for you, and i think we need to stop raising everyone on the belief that someone out there, just one other person in the whole world, was âmade for youâ because it isnât true. no one is made for you, besides you. other people belong to themselves. if you want to make it work with someone, itâs about hard work, understanding, compassion, communication, and choice
