💒 excluding baby gals from our community is just asking for our subculture to go extinct. it takes time to perfect the make and the mindset, and a baby gal isn’t a poser for still learning. as long as this person wants to improve and is dedicated to gyaru, then they’re just as much of a gyaru as the rest of us!! some gyarus act like they were never baby gals who were still learning the difference between purikura and parapara, and bullying newcomers for making a mistake (e.g saying gyaru gal, not knowing a substyle) does nothing except drive people away.

🌺 if gyaru gatekeepers put their energy towards combatting misinformation, stereotypes and prejudice about gyarus instead of calling strangers on the internet posers for not being in full gal 24/7, then the community would be a much better place. literally the gyaru counterpart of jiraimaxxers.

🏩 you can have one substyle that you dress in exclusively, be different substyles on different days, have no substyle at all, whatever makes u feel most like urself!! gal is all about being the authentic you and nonconformity, so it’s okay to find your gal in multiple, in one or in no substyles!!
