The Lovers of Valdaro, discovered by archaeologists at a tomb in San Giorgio near Mantua, Italy. The couple have been holding one another for 6,000 years.
idk if this needs to be said but if any followers/mutuals of mine still support jeffree star or shane dawson get off of my page
I like clingy. I like when someone purposely grabs my hand to show other people Iām theirs. I like that when something exciting happens during the day, Iām the first person you want to tell. I like coming back to an āI miss youā text message when Iām in class or taking a nap. I like that random call at one in the morning just because you wanted to hear my voice. I little gestures that show Iām important, and you enjoy having me in your life.
I like godswap AUs a little to much, but hereās a hecate!percy

Image: Grover (Sesame Street) sitting next to a trashcan with a bottle of liquor in a brown bag, clearly wasted and depressed. A tweet from Kai (@microsoft42) reads, ābeing called smart because you have a variety of information on different subjects, but in reality itās all surface level intelligence and you donāt feel like youāre really good at anything.ā
This post is so wild to me.
Like. This is presented as a terrible character flaw, but itās really not.
This is a broad foundational background in multiple disciplines .
This is giving yourself the maximum amount of context to udnerstand new information in the fullest possible way.
This is teaching yourself enough to know the right questions to ask when you want to learn more.
This is the kind of shit that solves centuries old riddles.
This is every hair-dresser who picked up the trivia that Athenians or Romans or whoever used the same word for sewing and hairdressing, and recovering lost knowledge as a result.
This is literally just cross disciplinary study.
Itās the basis of so many major breakthroughs in every aspect of human living.
Knowing just enough about everything to be able to contextualize anything is power in its rawest form.
This is something to CELEBRATE about yourself!
Itās horrifying that so many people have been convinced that itās a failure. Itās a fine and subversive example of anti-intellectualism being used to instill fear and sorrow in people.
But like.
This is fuckign phenomenal, and youāre all doing great.
Also: this is particularly usefulĀ in library, archival and information studies.Ā
For serious.Ā
Itās an ability that lets you pick up enough broad spectrum knowledge to be super useful in helping people with specific information needs (that is: people who need to know specific stuff about a specific area in depth) find where to look.Ā
Handy for playing Trivial Pursuits, too!
But seriously, donāt give me none of that āa little knowledge is a dangerous thingā bull shit either.
A limited knowledge of a subject is only a bad thing if itās combined with the arrogance to assume you know everything.
Iāll take a little knowledge and humility over either ignorance or expertise when theyāre combined with arrogance any day.
Jack of all trades, master of none, but better than a master of one.

People donāt hate math. They hate being confused, intimidated, and embarrassed by math. Their problem is with how itās taught.
