It would have been easy to pretend that there is no lever.

It would have been easy to keep him.

But someone needed to make the right choice.

Someone needed to be brave.

And Ryland Grace is a coward.

She had to make the right choice because Grace is a coward and wouldn’t let her make a good choice. Instead of being able to send a hero off to space, Grace made her send a victim.

What a situation. Everyone betrayed everyone by consistently being the person they never pretended they weren’t.

Stratt really is the embodiment of the hero who would not save you in favor of saving the world.
