*Make it Public:

An imagine where the reader is dating Tom and they’re a YouTuber. Tom and the reader haven’t gone public yet, and they do so by doing a video for the reader’s channel called the Boyfriend Tag.

A badboy!Tom Holland au where the reader has this big crush on him and does all this stuff for him like say good morning, and give him little notes reminding him of their homework for that night. He ends up getting really annoyed and yells at her, telling her that he doesn’t care about all of the things she does. He ends up regretting it and realizes he has feelings for her and then apologizes.

The reader and Tom had previously dated and broke up a few months ago and then they meet in a club for the first time since their breakup. And the reader trys to make Tom jealous. And he punches a guy, and they get back together in the end

When you had taken the job, you thought it could be nice to no longer work for your boyfriend; that the two of you would have time away from each other which would make the time together all more important. Fred had been overjoyed with the news that you got this new job, a job that you had been talking about ever since your fourth year at Hogwarts. In the last three years that you had been dating Fred, you had spoken to him about your life plan both personal and professional. You had unfortunately fallen behind on your plan, but this new opportunity was putting you back on track. Fred was unbelievably supportive of you, he had given you shifts off in order to go the multiple interviews that you had been put through, he had comforted you whenever you thought you had blown it.

It was now that you were three months into your new job that you started to feel as though you were never seeing your boyfriend, you would see each other for only half an hour in the morning before the two of you would have to rush off to your places of work. Both of you would arrive home late, regularly having to resort to buying take out or something easy on the way back as the idea of cooking or just anything other than relaxing was tiresome in itself.

It was finally Friday and you were done with work; it was nearly quarter-past six when you left your work place and you apparated home. You were hoping that Fred had organised dinner as you knew that he liked to leave work as soon as the shop was shut, you practically collapsed onto the sofa when you appeared back in your flat. Instantly kicking off your heels and curling yourself up on the sofa and resting on the plush pillows that Fred had insisted on having. You found yourself dozing off.

Fred wandered back in from the bedroom, his suit discarded and instead his comfiest clothing replaced it. He saw you cuddled up on the sofa and found a smile gracing his face, slowly he walked over to you and stroked your hair gently. A soft kiss was pressed to your forehead before disappearing back into the bedroom and the adjoining ensuite. He began to run a bubble bath, candles being lit and rose petals scattered into the water; he returns back to the kitchen, keeping quiet as to not wake you up yet. A bottle of wine and two glasses being carried back into the bathroom before Fred returned to the kitchen once more to prepare a bowl of strawberries and whatever chocolate that he could find in the cupboards. Soft music was playing in the background, a soft tune that elevated the atmosphere to another level. When everything was ready Fred walked back to where you were snoring ever so slightly on the couch.

A kiss was pressed to your cheek before his lips moved to your nose and his forehead, a few more pressing to your soft skin as you began to wake up, your nose wrinkling as you shuffled slightly. Fred's arms wrapped around you and shifting you onto your lap. He pressed a final kiss to your lips, you instantly found yourself becoming alert, arms circling around his neck as you kissed him back more fiercely. Fred pulled apart, smiling soft at you as his thumb stroked your cheek.

"Baby, let's go to the bathroom. I've run a bath for the two of us, I feel like I haven't seen you all week and I want to spend some time together, just the two of us. George is going to be at Angelina's tonight, so I wanted us to have a romantic evening." Fred's voice was soft, you smiled back at him before standing up from your place on his lap, holding a hand out to him so that he would lead you that way.

When you saw the bathroom, you gasped.

"Freddie, this is so sweet. I love you." You turned around to hug him tightly before removing yourself from his embrace and ridding yourself of the professional clothing, simply dropping it to the floor and stepping into the bath. Fred followed suit quickly, stepping in behind you only a minute or two later. You lay against him so that your back was against his chest; an arm wrapped around your middle as you rested your head on his shoulder. The two of you rested together there with only the soft music as noise for the next few minutes.

The comfortable quiet was soon broken, the two of you speaking to one another in hushed tones about your weeks; the gossip and amusing moments that took place during the week, rants about anything or anybody that had been getting on your nerves in the last five days. After thirty minutes of talking about work, the two of you moved on to reminiscing about your time at Hogwarts, memories from when you were both together and apart. You ate the strawberries and drank the wine as you spoke with one another, feeding each other chocolate as sweet kisses passed between one another.

When the water grew cold and you found your skin pruning, the two of you lifted yourselves out of the tub and wrapped yourselves in fluffy robes. You called for a takeaway and continued talking as you sat on the sofa eating and catching up, reconnecting, the last three months having been stressful and having put distance between the two of you ever so slightly. When the food was finished Fred led you back to your bedroom, the two of you shedding your robes, pulling on your pyjamas, and cuddling up with one another under the covers.

You don't know whether it was the silence in the room, the comfortable feeling of having your body pressed right next to each other and words spoken so quietly that it felt secretive despite the lack of presence in the flat.

"I know it's been tough the last three months and we've had to get used to the two of us working on different schedules, long hours, early morning and late evening but I want us to promise that we won't wait another three months before we have another night like this. I think maybe every week, every Friday we do this. Not necessarily the bath and eat food in robes," both of you giggle slightly, "I just don't want to lose any of the magic between us." You rolled your eyes at the reference of magic.

"Freddie, we couldn't lose the magic if we tried." You smiled at him widely before bringing him to kiss him once more.

"I can't wait to marry you."

Paddy’s Crush | Tom Holland

Summary:  Paddy isn’t pleased by the announcement you and Tom make.

Paddy loved you. He loved you to the point that he was so incredibly jealous of Tom's relationship with you that whenever you were visiting, he turned into the green eyes monster and was consistently rude to his brother. Everyone worried for when the two of you were at the house, or when they visited at yours, Paddy was always given a strict talking to before any event that would have the two of you in the same room. Nikki pleading with him to just behave for once and not cause a scene that would not only make you uncomfortable but everyone else as well.

Tom had never understood Paddy's difficulty in understanding your relationship with him, Paddy had always been sweet with every other girlfriend that he had brought home. Paddy had always been his sweet younger brother and then one day, when he had decided to bring the love of his life home to meet his parents, he had assumed that they would all love you and there would be no issue. He had reassured you consistently that the whole family would adore you just as he did, just as his friends did and he was right... For the most part. What Tom hadn't counted on was his youngest brother having such a large crush on you. As soon as the two had met it, Paddy had been attached to your side. He wanted to sit next to you, be on your team whenever a game was played and told you everything that had ever happened in his life. He laughed at your jokes and tried to get you to do the same. Every time that you met with them Paddy fell more in more in love with you, his infatuation with you was so strong that his attitude and respect for his brother had seemingly decreased over time.

You grew more and more upset about the wedge you were putting in between Tom and his brother; you had even tried to break up with Tom, telling him that you couldn't do that to his family, that you cared too much for him. Tom had spent hours persuading you to stay with him, that you loved each other too much to give it up because his brother had an issue with it. He asked you, if you were in the same position, whether you'd give up your relationship if it was your sister who was obsessed with him.

When Tom got down on his knee and placed a ring on your left hand there was no other answer than yes. The two of you had celebrated with champagne, kisses pressed to each other's lips and skin, the two of you had called your families the next morning telling them the happy news. Paddy was the last to be told, Nikki and Dom sitting him down and gently telling him the news that you were engaged and would be marrying Tom.

No one had expected Paddy to react well to the news, but no one had expected him to react as badly as he had done so. There had been a full tantrum, things had been thrown, tears from both Paddy and Nikki. Nikki couldn't bear to see her youngest in such distress over something that should have been so happy. It had taken over an hour for Paddy to settle down and he was kept away from both you and Tom until everyone was sure that he wouldn't react as badly as he had done so initially. When the time had come and you had first seen Paddy after getting engaged, Paddy had been his normal self around you. He had hugged you, congratulating you and being over lovely to you. His parents were proud, and his brothers were surprised. Tom had thought this was the turning point, that Paddy had realised that he couldn't have you and so he would just be happy for him. Paddy had different ideas. Paddy didn't speak to Tom the whole time that he was there, in fact he stopped speaking to Tom altogether. No phone calls or texts, he didn't interact or reply to Tom on the group chat and whilst it upset Tom, he wasn't sure if it was better or worse to have no interaction than all negative interactions.

Paddy had behaved at the wedding. He smiled and took pictures, conversing as if it wasn't the worst day of his life. Tom had questioned asking him to be one of his groomsmen, but it was made very clear to him by his future wife and his mother that to not include him was far too harsh and even more cruel. Paddy had watched you to walk down the aisle with tears in his eyes, he couldn't help but take in how beautiful you were and when he had told you so, you had smiled broadly thanking him and bringing him in for a hug. It hadn't been long before you were whisked away by your husband and Paddy found himself having to take a few deep breaths, calming the anger that he felt rising as he saw you kissing and being affectionate with his brother, your new husband.

You had danced with Paddy at your wedding, you had danced with each of the Holland brothers and whilst Paddy knew this, he still felt special to get to dance with you whilst you were wearing the white dress. You had laughed during the dance, clearly enjoying yourself as the youngest Holland attempted to spin you around the dance floor despite the fact that he was quite a few inches smaller than you.

The wedding had felt like a new beginning, Paddy had been civil with his brother and had even hugged him. It had made Tom feel quite emotional, feeling as though everything was finally falling into place; his gorgeous fiancé now his wife, his family by his side and his brother finally accepting the relationship. All seemed perfect, until it wasn't.

Paddy remained just as he had been at the wedding for nearly six months, nearly six months of not acting out or behaving in a way that upset you, Tom, or his parents but that time period had to come to an end with the announcement of your pregnancy. It was the fourth time you had seen the Holland side of the family since the wedding and it was about 12 weeks into your pregnancy, feeling safe from any complications, that you decided to announce it. You were all sat down, Paddy by your side as usual and the rest of the family sat around the room. Tom's hand was on your thigh, his other one wrapped around your waist, his thumb brushing against your top.

"Well, I am sure that you can guess what the news is providing I'm not sure what else we would have to tell you," you chuckled softly, ignoring the look of confusion on Paddy's face. You were unaware that Paddy hadn't been told of the secret announcement. Tom cautiously looked at his brother, pulling you slightly closer to him and away from his brother in anticipation for anything that may go wrong. "We're pregnant. 12 weeks. We'll find out the gender next appointment." You smiled sweetly whilst the family squealed, you stood up to hug them all turning to Paddy at the end.

Paddy hadn't said anything but it was clear that there was emotion brewing. He took a deep breath before leaving the room. Emotions were high and you were hormonal due to the pregnancy and as soon as Paddy had slammed the door, there were tears streaming down your face. Tom pressed a kiss to your cheek before heading after his brother finally fed up with his behaviour.

Nikki made you a cup of tea whilst the boys attempted to cheer you up.

Tom stormed into Paddy's room.

"What is your problem? I understand that you are infatuated with Y/N but she is my wife Paddy. She's going to be the mother to my child, and she will be in our lives forever. Now you need to make a decision... Are you going to forget about this stupid obsession and realise that she's your sister-in-law and that I love her or are you going to keep up this stupid fucking charade? Because this is Paddy, you make your decision and if it's not the right one then we won’t be visiting any more. I won't have that negative energy in her life not when her hormones will cause it to take it even harder than she already does.  I won't have that negative energy in my child's life Paddy, I can't do that." Tom's voice was full of emotion, it was full of anger and hurt but the conviction that it portrayed really made Paddy stop. Tom didn't let Paddy reply before he was out of the door and back in the living room with you.

You had calmed down considerably and as soon as Tom held his hand out for you, you were back in his embrace with him leading you out of the door and into the car, a quick goodbye thrown to his family as he needed to get out of the house.

You had a relatively enjoyable pregnancy other than the morning sickness, aches and pains as well as the cravings that your stomach desired. You hadn't seen Paddy since the announcement and whilst you missed him, you were so preoccupied with the growing of your child that you didn't allow yourself to think of the young boy. Tom missed his brother; he had hoped that his speech would have awoken the sense in him and they could've returned to the relationship that they had before Paddy's infatuation.

On the day that your baby was born, and you held the beautiful baby in your arms, both yours and Tom's faces stained with tears was the day that you saw Paddy for the first time in six months. Both sides of your family walked into the room, swarming around you and the new-born. Paddy held out, standing in the back and watching from afar the baby who he was unsure if he would be allowed around.

You smiled at Tom's youngest brother, ushering him forward to meet your child. Paddy felt uncomfortable but smiled back, cautiously walking forward to where your sat. Tom eyed him, watching closely as if waiting to see him act out. You placed a hand on his arm, telling him to relax, that he was being dramatic and that his brother was of course ok for Paddy to hold his child. Tom took a breath, realising that he was being stupid, Paddy had an issue with your relationship but with that infatuation came a love and respect for you, he would never have done anything to upset you.

You placed the baby in his arms, smiling at everyone as Paddy pressed a gentle kiss to the new-born's forehead. With a sense that something was going to happen, that a reconciliation was on the horizon, everyone left to give you space.

"I'm sorry. I've not been a very good brother, have I? I'm going to be a good uncle I promise." Paddy's tone was so sincere that your exhausted self found tears springing in your eyes. You smiled back at him though and rested a hand on his shoulder.

"I forgive you Paddy, we know you'll do a fabulous job as uncle. Just promise us now that all this fighting can stop." You smiled at the younger boy who nodded before whispering a quiet 'I promise.' Tom, however, didn't seem so sure. He had thought things were going to be fine after the wedding, but the pregnancy had shown differently, how could he know that at the next milestone Paddy wouldn't change his attitude again.

Paddy decided that in order to be the best uncle that he could be he needed to prove it. He kept visiting the two of you and doing anything that he can help; he brought you food and presents and offered to babysit for you so that the two of you could spend time together or just have time to nap. Paddy did all that he could to make up for the years of being an arse. Tom saw the effort and loved it, he spent time with his brother and they found a way to reconnect with all the time they missed.

Paddy was an incredible uncle, just as you were an amazing mother and Tom a fabulous father.

As you stood on the platform waiting for your son to exit the train and be reunited with him for Christmas; you were excited to see him as you had missed him dearly. You stood by your husbands’ side, leaning on him as your excitement built at the thought of having your son in your arms once more. Scorpius was your only child and since he had left to start his time at Hogwarts you had been counting down the days until he was back. Draco laughed quietly under your breath, his hand running up and down your arm as he tried to calm you, he took pride in the fact that you had taken the position of the embarrassing parent but he equally didn't want you to mortify his son in front of his new friends.

When the train pulled up, you let out a little squeal, Draco pressed a kiss to your temple before whispering in your ear to calm down. As the train stopped, you searched the platform for your son, looking for the platinum hair that Scorpius had inherited from his father; Draco looked for his little boy, also having missed his son and looking forward to hearing all about his first term at his new school. Draco was distracted for a second when he noticed a familiar group of people, Hermione Granger locked eyes with his and he nodded slowly, acknowledging the women who he had tormented during his time in school, he was taken out of the his visions of his time at Hogwarts when a young boy with a head of blonde hair ran straight into him, wrapping his arms around his waist having escaped his mother’s embrace.

"Dad, you need to meet my new friend." Draco laughed, smiling at his son, and nodding as he allowed the boy to drag him away. You followed suit, grabbing your husbands’ hand as you walked alongside him, excited to meet your child's new friends. Draco wasn't focused on where his son was leading him, simply asking him questions about how school had been, what he thought of his lessons and which teachers were his favourite. You had received letters from Scorpius, but they were never that in detail and the two of you were desperate to hear more about the school that you missed.

"Albus! Albus, this is my dad. Dad, can Albus come and visit us?" You smiled at the young boy, nodding at your son as Draco looked at the boy carefully, questioning why he recognised him. The boy was stood with someone who Draco assumed was his older brother.

"Of course he can! We will have to speak to his family Scorpius, make sure it's ok with them. Where's your family Albus?" Your voice was soft as you smiled at the young boy. Draco nodded as well, smiling in order to comfort the boy who had befriended his only son.

"Draco?"

"Dad! This is Scorpius who I told you about that, can we see each other over the holidays? We want to go sledging!" Albus didn't seem to notice that his father new Scorpius' but both Harry and Draco were staring at each other, you smiled at Ginny, who smiled back at you. You were the year below Ginny and were in Slytherin so the two of you had never really interacted and yet there was a civility to your relationship. You bumped your husbands’ hip with your own, encouraging him to break from his daze with his old nemesis.  

"Albus that sounds like a lovely idea. It's nice to meet you Scorpius, and good to see you again Y/N and Draco. It's been a while." Draco nodded, agreeing with Ginny as he broke his eye contact from Harry.

"Of course, we should have your whole family over for dinner if you'd like?" Draco had always wanted to make amends with Harry, there was still a sense of guilt that he held about what he did in his youth. You had brought a new light to his life, had allowed him to feel love and had showered him with affection that he had been starved of his whole life. Narcissa had been overjoyed that Draco had been able to find love after the trauma that he had inflicted on him. When the two of you had married and just over a year later the two of you were graced with the gorgeous boy who had now befriended Harry Potter's son, Draco had embraced his new life and attempted to forget the horrors of his youth but there were certain things that reminded him of what had happened 19 years ago.

You smiled at your husband, resting your head against his shoulder, each of you had a hand on your son's shoulder. Harry and Ginny looked at the boy had caused so many issues for them, they saw someone who was happy and in love. Harry sighed, knowing that he had to accept for the sake of his son. He nodded, a smile gracing his face before accepting the invitation.

It was easy to put everything behind them, acknowledging what had happened in the past but deciding to forgive one another in order to put their son's first. Scorpius and Albus were the closest friends, best friends who spent their whole time at Hogwarts together and when they were home on breaks, they begged their parents to spend time together and it forced the families to grow closer. Whilst Harry and Draco would not label themselves as friends, they enjoyed one another's company and family dinners became a far more common occurrence, Harry invited Ron, Hermione and their children to one and soon Draco found himself having the companionship that he had always desired at school as well as the love of his life who he was consistently regretful for not taking notice of in his time at Hogwarts but more so than that, he had a family that was loving and accepting which was far more than he had ever expected.

Scorpius and Albus had managed to bring two rivals together. Their friendship, their bond was the strongest and purest of all, and it brought you nothing but happiness.

It wasn't a difficult decision to say yes to participating in Carpool karaoke, Niall loved James and had enjoyed himself immensely when he had done it with the band a few years prior. However, when he had agreed, he was unaware of the fact that he would have pigeons put on his head and whilst he had been briefed on the fact that he would be taking a lie detector test, he didn't know what the questions would be.

Niall was amused if not slightly on edge, he could still feel the feeling of the pigeon on his head, of the poo that had fallen and landed on the collar of his shirt. He was laughing though and having a good time, joking around with James as the two of the sang his songs at the top of his lungs.

When James pulled up to park, John jumping into the backseat with the lie detector machine on his lap, his silence causing Niall to laugh although he tried to hide it. The numerous devices were attached to James' body; a few jokes were made as they wrapped the devices around his bicep and waist.

Niall began to ask questions about to James' preference of his hair colour, his song versus Harry's and whether or not he was James' favourite member of one direction. Niall questioned James and yet he could not get his brain to focus on anything other than his relationship with you. It wasn't long before the interrogation was switched onto Niall and he was soon on the hot seat. The questions started rolling in.

"Do you actually think one direction will get back together?"

"Yes."

"True."

"Do you like Simon Cowell?"

Niall hesitated for a moment, a chuckle erupting from his throat as he considered his answer, "Sometimes."

"That's true"

"What is your favourite late-night show to perform on?" James looked expectantly at Niall.

"The late late show with James Corden."

"That's a lie." Niall and James both laughed loudly whilst James demanded to know the real answer, it was only a minute before he admitted that SNL was his true favourite, James pretended that he was offended but Niall knew it was a joke, the two of them laughing and acting dramatically.

It was time for the last question and James had a surprise in store. James was a good friend of the two of you and knew that you were in a relationship, the two of you had been together for nearly eight months and had begun talking about how you wanted to go public; James had now decided that the perfect way for the two of you to announce your relationship.

"Are you in a relationship?" James smirked as Niall's eyes went wide, his mouth opened and shut a few times before he looked a James again with a concerned look. His hands were sweating before he decided that he wasn't sure if this how you wanted to do it.

"No."

"Lie." James ooed and Niall squirmed in his seat, wanting to exit this conversation as soon as possible. Niall laughed awkwardly, wishing that he could admit to the world how he was in love with you, he could show you off and allow the world to know how he was happiest he had been in a while.

"Do you want to rethink that answer?" James looked at Niall expectantly, waiting for him to back out of his lie and inform every one of the beauty that was waiting out on the pavement ready to jump in the car and surprise her boyfriend. You were pretty well known yourself, your talent regarded one of the highest in your field and you were celebrated when it came to award season. The two of you had managed to keep your lives and relationship so private that no one other than your friends and family even knew that the two of you knew of the other.

"I don't know if I do." Niall laughed lightly before there was a knock at the door and your boyfriend whipped around to see you stood at the window. John jumped out of the car as you slid in.

"Hey baby." You leant forward to press a kiss to his cheek, smiling at him as he continued to look extremely confused. He looks back at James. "Hello James, long time no see." James laughed before bringing you into an awkward hug before you settled back into your seat.

"So, are you sure you're not in a relationship?" James asked Niall once more, you gasped dramatically, turning to look at your boyfriend who had clearly just lied about your relationship. You smirked at him; Niall rolled his eyes.

"Nope, I don't know who this person is." Both Niall and James laughed at this remark whilst you pouted looking like a sad puppy, your bottom lip jutting out. Niall grabbed your cheeks smooshing them together causing you to look even cuter. Once again James laughed before turning towards you.

"So, are the two of you not dating? Because I was under the impression that the two of you were in a relationship." You smiled, Niall blushing.

"You seem James, I was under the same impression! I thought Niall was my boyfriend." Niall rolled his eyes before he nodded.

"Yea, we're in a relationship." Niall smiled widely despite the fact that his tone sounded exasperated and bored. You slapped his arm lightly, sticking your tongue out at him.

That was the entirety of the conversation based around your relationship as soon as Niall confirmed the relationship James leant forward and played your favourite song Niall had released.

You were belting the lyrics out, both James and Niall laughing at how passionately you were performing his song; as the song faded out and you were breathing heavily, you leant forward to press your lips to your boyfriends cheek whilst your arms wrapped around his shoulders. Niall leant back, resting his head against yours and turning your head to face towards yours. He pressed a very short but extremely sweet kiss to your lips and James awed loudly.

"Shut up James." You buried your head into your boyfriend's neck, hiding your blush and holding your middle finger up to the host. Your head remained in the crook of your boyfriend's neck as James signed out the video, you waved goodbye to the camera before hopping out of the car, Niall quickly following suit.

The end of the video shows James driving away, a camera sticking out of the car as it filmed both you and Niall waving goodbye, Niall's arm wrapped around your shoulder as he pressed his lips to your temple. Only a few seconds later you were on his back, legs wrapped around his waist and arms hooked around his neck as he began walking over to where your car was sitting in the car park.

"I'm glad people know now." Your voice was quiet as you whispered the words to your boyfriend.

"I'm glad too." He placed you down next to your car, before pulling you into his body and pressing his lips against yours.

When the Yule ball was announced many girls were thrown into a panic as to what they would wear, how they'd style their hair and do their makeup but mainly who was going to be taking them to the ball; you were worried about who would be taking you to the ball, not because you didn't have number of male friends but because there were two men that you knew would definitely be asking you and you had absolutely no idea who you would say yes to.

Both Cedric and Draco had been courting you, the two of them had been flirting with you, asking you on dates and spending time together. Both boys had instantly hinted that they would be asking you and yet neither of them had done it yet; you had initially thought that you would just say yes to whoever asked first but the more you thought about it, the more you realised that whoever you picked now would probably end up as the man that you would date and that the other (if you didn't pick Draco) would likely never to speak to you again. You spent weeks agonising over who you wanted to go to, whenever the topic came up, you would quickly find a way to excuse yourself from the conversation.

Cedric and Draco were beginning to grow frustrated; Cedric was busy with the second task and yet he still refused to give up on you. Draco had been taking advantage of all the time that Cedric was questioning the meaning of the egg; he had dragged you to multiple quiet places throughout the castle, pressing kisses to your cheeks and temple, whispering compliments and sweet nothing into your ear. Cedric had seen these interactions and had found himself getting jealous, he would whisk you out of Draco's grip and take you to the kitchen, where the two of you would eat treats and giggle as Cedric told you jokes.

Every night you lay in bed, staring up at the ceiling of your four-poster bed as you tried to decide whether you would choose the Slytherin or the Hufflepuff. You would play with the jumpers that each of them had given you, switching each night to see if one jumper evoked more feelings than another, it seemed stupid but you needed something to help you make your decisions.

Cedric had decided that he was going to force you to answer his question, his invitation to the ball had started off as something that was going to be a grand gesture and yet he just needed his answer now. He found you in the Grand Hall sat with your friends, talking with them about their dates. Cedric approached quickly, hoping to steal you away before Draco arrived in the Grand Hall. He rested his hand on your shoulder, his other hand reached out towards you so that you could take it and follow him to where he had planned to finally ask you to be his date. He was Hogwarts' champion, why was this taking him so long in asking the girl that he liked so much, to be his.

Your fingers were intertwined with Cedric's as he led you to the courtyard, the two of you sat beside one another as he took both of your hands in his. Cedric smiled at you, leaning forward to rest his forehead against yours; he pressed his lips together as he worried about your answer, but he knew he needed it.

"You alright Ceddy?" Your smile caused Cedric to relax as the two of you separated. He nodded before he began mumbling before taking a deep breath and looking at you.

"Y/N, please will you be my date to the Yule Ball?" The words were steady as he looked into your eyes, his lips still pursed as he waited for your response. You smiled at him nervously, biting your lip before pulling your hands out of his and beginning to pull at your nails.

"Y/N, I think it's time to make your decision. Who do you want, me or him?" Your head whirled round to face the quiet yet harsh voice. Draco stood there; his eye glared at Cedric but were quick to turn soft as he locked eyes with you. Cedric placed a hand on your shoulder, stroking the arm as he wished for you to turn to face him once more; your eyes flicked in between both Cedric and Draco. "I hate that we're making you choose but I've spent so long trying to win you over and yet every time that I try and ask you to be my date to the ball, you run away or divert the conversation." You had never heard Draco speak so sincerely in front of other people; your mouth opened as you tried to find something to say.

"It's ok if you don't pick me Y/N but please, I don't think I can deal with anymore anticipation. Just, tell us who you pick." Cedric smiled at you, a sad smile but a smile none the less. Draco nodded, finding himself agreeing with the Hufflepuff for the first time in so long.

You looked at both of them, your head reeling as you had to come to a decision.

"I'm sorry, but I think I have to choose him." Your eyes connected with the boy you had let down, he nodded and excused himself quickly, a short kiss pressed to your cheeks before he left. 

"So, you pick me huh!?" You ignored the smirk gracing his face, you walked forward and pressed your lips to his.

Being the Hogwarts champion had it perks; everyone was friendly and supportive of him. Everyone was understanding if he couldn't get his homework in on time or if his concentration was elsewhere in lessons, everyone understood that there were greater things on his mind, that there were other things that mattered more than his charms homework and that was the tournament that was so dangerous, people had got seriously injured and even died during it. The one thing that Cedric didn't think would cause him issues being the Hogwarts champion, was the lack of a date to the Yule Ball.

He had options, he had so many options and almost everyone was telling him to ask Cho and yet he didn't want to. He didn't know who he wanted to take and the continuous love letters and presents that were sent his way as bribes and requests of being his date were only lengthening the list of people he didn't want to take.

The Great Hall was rife with noise as students chattered away, Cedric received pats on the back, smiles and winks sent his way as he walked through the hall to where Hermione was sat on the bench beside his rival champion. He wasn't particularly close to the trio but having been to the Quidditch World Cup together, he trusted her judgement and knew that she would give him an answer that might actually help him decide as to who he should take, she always gave good advice.

Hermione smiled up at him as he asked if he could sit in the empty spot beside him. She nodded as the trio plus the Weasley twins turned their attention away from their conversations and towards the handsome Hufflepuff champion. He smiled shyly as he realised that this conversation could never have been just private with Hermione, but he continued anyway. Cedric began to explain that he had no idea who he should be taking to the ball, that he was unsure who he wanted to dance beside, to spend the night socialising with but he didn't want to take someone who only wanted to be there with him because of his status as champion.

Both Ron and Harry looked at each other with a feeling of distaste towards the boy who had so many options and yet was still complaining; they rolled their eyes and turned away, whispering with one another as they tried to work out who they should take. Harry was feeling optimistic that if Cedric wasn't going to, he could take Cho, but Ron was completely clueless as to who he would take. The Weasley twins, confident in their ability to get a date, leant forward ready to toss a joke or two at the Hufflepuff's expense. Hermione smiled at him, a date already secured for herself, she was more than happy to help the boy she had become friends with that summer.

"Cedric, surely you have many friends who are girls who would love to go with you. Girls you've been friends with since first year, who you know are not friends with you because of your status as the champion or because of the fact that you are evidently handsome," She blushed slightly but shook it off and resumed what she was saying, "Surely out of those girls you will be able to pick someone that you will enjoy the ball with." It seemed so straightforward when Hermione said it like that and yet he could only think of a few girls that he thought fit into the category that Hermione had explained in such a matter of fact way.

The Weasley twins found that Hermione's advice, whilst good and the probably the right decision, was rather boring. They suggested a far more amusing way to pick a date. Cedric turned to them; an eyebrow raised as he questioned what their idea was going to be. They smirked at one another, Fred pulling a coin out of his pocket and placing it down on the table.

"I reckon we enchant this coin, let it decide who you should go to the ball with." Fred smirked at Cedric, George's lips pulling into an identical one. They glanced at each other before turning back to the boy who was having such trivial troubles. Hermione rolled her eyes and shook her head, hoping that Cedric would not buy into the twins’ game.

"How about we flip a coin, heads for Hermione's boring plans and tails for ours." George, ever the sound of compromise, picked the coin up and rested it against his fingers, ready to flip it.

Cedric nodded, thinking that the twin’s idea sounded like a lot less effort on his behalf but not wanting to upset or annoy Hermione. The Gryffindor girl sighed, knowing instantly that this would not go her way.

George flicked the coin but with such force that when it landed on its side, it began to roll away down the table before it landed against a book, remaining on its side so it showed neither heads nor tails...

 ...

The noise throughout the hall did nothing to distract you from the book that you were reading. Your friends were chatting around you, conversations as to who they wanted to ask them to the ball and yet you remained quiet, head buried in the book that you had waited so long to arrive. You were sat at the end of the group, they loved you and knew that when you were occupied with your book, very little could distract you, and it was something very little that distracted you.

Feeling the soft push of something against your book caused you to look up from its contents. You saw the coin standing on its side, your eyebrows furrowed, looking around to discover where it had come from. Your eyes found that of your friend Cedric, you had met him on the train on the way to Hogwarts in your first year and despite being sorted into different houses, the two of you had continued to build a friendship in those lessons that you shared; it wasn't as if you were best friends but more so that the two of you got along well, you didn't have to talk to one another every day and could often go a week or two without speaking and yet when you did, there was no pauses of awkward silence just a gentle flow of conversation that the two of you would enjoy.

In response to George's request that you return the coin to them, a smile and wink sent your way with it, caused you to stand from where you were sat, your book closing and being tucked under your arm. You bided your friend's goodbye as you began to leave the hall, as you passed the group you placed the coin down in the middle of them, smiling softly at them before leaving.

Cedric glanced at where the coin was placed on the table, heads up.

"I think I'll pick an old friend to go with."

Somehow you looked identical to your cousins. All of your mother's siblings had managed to have a daughter that looked exactly the same as you; when the five of you were stood altogether, even your family found it hard to understand who was who, therefore you understood why your boyfriend had been taken by such surprise when he had been introduced to your extended family.

It was your grandmother's birthday when you decided it was time to introduce your boyfriend to your mother's side of the family. You had tried to warn him but he had brushed you off, telling you that he knew his girlfriend, you smirked at his arrogance, promising yourself that you would enjoy the chaos that would unfold when the five (Y/S/N) cousins met once again.

When you pulled up to the house, you joked with Tom that he should study your outfit so that he would be able to recognise you in the crowd but he just rolled your eyes and pulled you towards the door. After knocking, you smoothed down the summery outfit that you had picked for the day, your cardigan pulled over your hands as the breeze was cool and occasionally sent a shiver down your spine.

Your mother opened the door, pulling both you and Tom into a hug before ushering you inside to meet the rest of your family. It was the family members who Tom had already met that greeted you first; your siblings, father and grandfather there to offer a handshake or a hug, joking with him about your cousins but Tom continued to shrug it off, promising them just as he had done to you, that he knew his girlfriend, he wouldn't get messed up. It was nearly ten minutes after you arrived that you led Tom away from the family that he knew and towards your grandmother who was surrounded by family who Tom had never met. Your grandma beamed when she saw the two of you, immediately disengaging from the conversation that she was in the middle of in order to grab a hold of the two of you, a kiss placed to both of your cheeks.

The two of you soon took a seat by her side as you begun to introduce Tom to your family members. Your cousins were smirking, waiting for their introduction as Tom had yet to take notice of them, his back having been to them as you decided to introduce him to the more mellow family members first. As Tom made the awkward meetings over and over again, he finally turned towards where your four cousins were sat. He instantly made a double take, his eyes watching as four women stood in front of them, all looking like a near exact copy of the beautiful women that he called his girlfriend. Nearly everyone started laughing, you pressing a kiss to Tom's cheek as you patted his arm before pointing at each cousin and informing him of their name. Tom nodded slowly, determined to find a way to distinguish between each cousin.

He was going well at first, getting everyone's names right, it was when you disappeared from his side to go to the loo that things took a turn for him. He had wondered into the kitchen to check if there's anything he could do to help, his offer was shut down though, your father shooing him out and promising that they had everything covered. Exiting the kitchen, he found that the five of you were stood in a circle, he knew the only way he would be able to enter the circle would be to wrap his arm around your waist and rest his head on your shoulder but in order to do that he would have to make sure that he wrapped his arms around the right girl, he wished now that he had paid attention to what you had been wearing because now that he stared at the five girls who were all wearing similar outfits in varying colours. He contemplated for a moment before he decided to go for it, he knew his girlfriend and so he trusted his gut. Your family were watching him, waiting to see if he would get the right girl, they watched as he smiled, nodding to himself before confidently walking over to the group, his arms finding their way around one of the five women's waist, his head burying into their neck, his lips pressing against the smooth skin once or twice.

Your family inhaled, they were unsure whether or not Tom had picked the right girl. They were consistently getting you confused and, on a few occasions, when you were small, the parents had left with the wrong child. Everyone was waiting for the amusement when they found out that he had wrapped his arms around the wrong woman, but it never came. You smiled, resting your head against his, before turning slightly to connect your lips with his. The whole family beamed, you had finally found someone who loved and adored you, that you found yourself someone who knew you better than your own family.

You felt special. Tom always had the ability to make you feel so incredible, to make you feel unique and special; in that moment you knew you had found the perfect someone.

In the run up to the Yule Ball, your confidence was taking a battering, you were unsure if anyone would ask you and every time you looked in the mirror you found another reason for someone not to ask you. Your best friend of the longest time had assured you that someone would ask, someone would want to go with you, but no one had asked you yet. There was still time, but Cedric had asked Cho and you felt that as he had a date, you should do. You based a lot of what you thought of yourself on Cedric, continuously comparing yourself which was an unfortunate habit as Cedric was not only a natural wizard but a bloody good one too.

Cedric was oblivious to the comparison, oblivious to the fact that whilst he was the most popular person in the year, you had a small tight knit group of friends. Everyone was nice to you, respected you and never caused any trouble for you, but you had always thought that this was because of your relationship with the Hufflepuff hero. You had been looking at different dresses, your mother having sent multiple options, knowing that you were indecisive when it comes to fashion; you had tried all of them on and whilst every dress was beautiful, they didn't feel beautiful on your body. You had ended up standing in front of the mirror in each dress and writing down the pros and the cons; you found that every time the list would be the same. Pros: the dress is stunning, the colour is beautiful, I love the dress. Cons: My body doesn't do it justice.

It ended up becoming a habit. Every night you would try the dresses on, trying to eliminate which dresses were a definite no and which would make it to the next round of criticism. You soon decided that in order to wear the dresses and feel confident, in order to get a date so that you could go to the ball, you would start making changes.

It started small at first; never having second portions, having small desserts which soon became only having desserts on certain days of the week. Cedric didn't clock on at first, it didn't seem toxic and honestly, he was preoccupied with the second task that he had barely been paying you any attention. It didn't help that the beautiful women who Cedric was taking to the ball had been spending more time with you, that she had been asking you all manner of questions about Cedric; you had happily obliged in answering and every time you spoke to her, you found yourself comparing your body to hers. When she showed you what she was wearing so that you could ensure that Cedric matched without him seeing her dress, you had found yourself deciding that you needed to do more to look good.

Not only were you skipping breakfast but you had taken to spending more time in the library exploring different potions and spells that could make you more confident, make you feel prettier and generally anything that would possibly help you get a date to the ball. Cedric was beginning to notice your absence more, he would go searching for you whenever you missed breakfast but when he found you in the library, you would hide what you were reading from him. Cedric grew more suspicious, keeping his attention on you when you were at his side; he tried to get you to open up to him in the common room but for the first time in his life, you refused to tell him what was wrong. All he had managed to get from you was that the ball was causing you to stress.

Cedric was hoping that someone would ask you soon, he didn't understand why no one hadn't. Everyone loved you, you were clearly stunning and there was no doubt that you had a cracking personality. When you didn't appear at lunch, having already skipped breakfast, Cedric grabbed a plate of food and stalked off into the library. He found you sat there, pouring over a book, your arm covering the words so that he couldn't read what it was; you looked up at him, your skin pale and the bags under your eyes dark. He placed the food down in front of you, smiling at you and grabbing a book that was strewn across the table. He noticed that certain pages had been folded and he subtly turned to those pages. He glanced at you from time to time, the occasionally bite of food entering your mouth; not enough to sustain you but enough to show him that you were eating.

Cedric soon found his frown deepening as he noticed the theme of your dogeared pages. Each one was an appearance altering potion, something that would change the slightest part of the way you looked. Some were subtle like altering the length and colour of your hair whilst others were far more drastic, changing your bone structure or body fat. Cedric looked at you, took a long look at you and finally noticed. Noticed that whilst you had lost weight, your skin looked duller, you had lost the glow and aura that surrounded you, that attracted people your way.

It took another hour but eventually all the food had disappeared from the plate and Cedric was finally able to pull you back to the common room where he practically carried you into his bedroom and sat you down opposite him on the bed. The two of you stared at each other, you raised an eyebrow at him causing him to shake his head and finally open his mouth.

"I know why you're not... I think I understand... You need to..." Cedric huffed, not knowing how to approach this conversation, "You know that you're beautiful right. That you are so stunning that people regularly mention in it to me, that numerous guys have commented on your beauty and girls have gushed over you. So many people have commented to me about how lucky I am to have you as my closest friend and every time someone says it to me, I smile and laugh and no and I tell them how they don't know the half of it. They don't know how effortlessly gorgeous you are." Cedric saw the tears falling from your eyes, his palm cupped your cheek as his thumbs wiping them away. You shook your head and stood up, walking away from him, and looking at yourself in the mirror.

Cedric didn't move but continued to speak: "Anyone and everyone knows that you have eyes that are magnetising, that you have a smile that dazzles and a laugh that everyone wants to be the cause of, but only I know about how pretty you are when you sleep, that despite the fact that your mouth opens slightly and that you wriggle consistently throughout the night, there's such a peace around you when you sleep that's intoxicating. Our friends may see how stunning you were when you study, when you concentrate and bite your nails, you look so adorable that I just want to lean in and kiss you."

The two of you froze then, your eyes fixed on his through the mirror, his going wide as he realised what he had said. You had always been his closest friend, never anything more. He had never questioned that his affection towards you was anything other than friendly, he had never even thought that maybe you were the one he should be bringing to the ball, that you would be the one that would walk with him out into the courtyard, you would be the one who he draped his jacket over, never had he thought that you would be the one that he would lean in and kiss under the moon, that you would be the one he would bring back to his room for the night.

"I, Um, what I mean is... What do I mean?" For once Cedric was stumbling over his words, he was racking his brain for something to say. His feelings had been so sudden they had practically wacked him over the back of his head.

"Cedric, I understand that you're trying to be nice but we both know that you like Cho, you were probably thinking about her when you said all those things. I just, I don't feel pretty in my different dresses and no one wants to go to the ball with me so I'm just a bit down." It was possibly the understatement of the year and yet you couldn't help but downplay the feelings that had been racking your body for the past weeks.

"Accio dresses." Cedric spoke the spell before you could stop him. You regretted leaving your window open as in a few seconds the four dresses were hitting against Cedric's window. Cedric stood instantly and went to get them, he looked at them before placing three over his chair and passing one to you. You looked at him shocked. He had picked the dress that in your heart you knew you loved the most. He nodded towards the bathroom with a pleading look. "I know you Y/N and I know that you will look unbelievably stunning in this." You took a deep breath before snatching the dress from Cedric's hold and storming into the bathroom.

You angrily muttered to yourself as you undressed, taking a second to look at your body in the mirror before you pulled the dress slowly and delicately over the curves and dips of your body. You smoothed the fabric over your skin, your eyes tracing their movements in the mirror. There was one final intake of breath before you moved to open the door. You unknowingly held that breath right up until the moment you saw Cedric's reaction.

His eyes bugged wide, his hands going clammy as his eyes took in every single line and swell of your body. He bit his lip and stood up. It was as if he wasn't in control over his body, when he was in front of you, his body so close to yours, he reached out and placed his hands on your waist. They slowly moved over your body, over your shoulders and down your arms until he intertwined his fingers with yours. He rested his forehead against yours and inhaled deeply, your scent intoxicating him, one hand left yours to trace over your body. His palm squeezed your hip.

Your eyes trailed over his face, eyes still closed and his breathing heavy.

"You're so beautiful." The words were quiet and whispered as if it was a secret that only you needed to hear. His nose budged yours, his face moving closer. Your eyes closed once more. "So, so, so beautiful." You smiled to yourself, the sincerity in his voice was so pure that you couldn't help but believe him. "Tell me that you're beautiful, say it." The proximity between you two allowed you to forget that there were other people in the world, that you were in a school where your friends were larking and laughing.

"I'm," there was a pause that prompted Cedric to squeeze your hand. He nodded against you, persuading, and encouraging you to say the words, to believe them. "I'm beautiful." There was a break in your voice as you whispered the words. A tear slipped from Cedric's eyes then, a small smile gracing his face.

"Can I kiss you?" Cedric's words sent a shiver down your spine.

"Yes." Your lips connected.

The two of you spent the rest of the evening with your lips on one another, between the kisses there were mumbles of your beauty, his lips pressing kisses to your skin as he reminded you of the incredible women that you were. The two of you were lying side by side, soft touches and sweet smiles, quiet giggles, and a general love for each other being displayed.

"I wish I'd asked you to the ball, do you think it's bad if I ask Cho if I can bring you instead?" Cedric's words were quiet, a question that he felt he should have thought about before he spent the evening disclosing his love for you.

"No, don't. You should take her, I'll find someone, or I'll just go on my own and then, we can still dance, we can still spend some of the evening together. But um maybe tell her, you know, I don't know, tell her about me... And um you. Just don't, don't lead her on." He nodded, wrapping his arm around you.

"I wouldn't, I'll tell her about how I feel about you, but I'll take her, as long as you promise to save me a dance." You smiled and nodded, whispering an 'I promise' before you pressed your lips to his once more.

Pregnancy is a magical thing. Bringing new life into the world and expanding your family in a miraculous way and yet there was no denying that there were many irritations. The growing bump had caused a few inconveniences in your day to day activities; your shoes were hard to reach making tying your laces practically impossible, getting up from a sitting or lying position was a struggle so you can imagine the grace that came with standing up from the toilet. Whilst you had tried to deny the help that your husband was consistently offering, there were some things that you had to have his help with.

You were in the shower, a process that took longer because you: a) allowed yourself to indulge in the hot water using the fact that you had a baby growing inside you as your excuse, and b) attempting to shave was a tricky manoeuvre. Whilst the position that you had to situate yourself in order to shave your legs was awkward yet comical, as the bump grew there was an area of yourself that was becoming inaccessible; you knew you didn't have to shave down there, your husband unbothered by any hair down there but you found it could be uncomfortable and you genuinely just liked the feeling of smooth skin. As the pregnancy continued and your stomach grew more, the frustration to be smooth in certain areas was aggravating you more and more.  

After five minutes of attempting to shave, you gave up; slamming the razor down and relishing in the warm water for a few more seconds before you turned the water off and stepped out of the shower. You towelled off before wrapping the towel around your hair and your dressing gown around your body. Your frustration remained obvious as you flung open the door and flopped down on the bed next to where your husband was looking at you with a raised brow.

"I love our baby but they're getting in the way." Your words were muttered as you turned onto your side to face the man you loved, he smirked back at you, turning so that you were face to face. His hand came down to rest on your bump, stroking it slightly.

"The prices we pay for a beautiful baby." It was your turn to raise your eyebrow at him.

"We?" Your voice was teasing although there was truth in your words. Whilst Niall was incredible at helping you; driving at all times of the day to buy you whatever food you were craving, eating with you whenever you craved a takeout so that you didn't feel bad, he woke up whenever you were tossing and turning and would do everything to help you get comfortable and fall asleep.

"What was our baby preventing you from doing this time?" Niall's voice was both teasing and concerned, you knew that he was wondering what he could to help but yet you knew he would quickly find himself cowering away when you told him your issue; he enjoyed the pleasure of the currently unshaved area but he wasn't so keen on participating in the maintenance. You smirked at him, there was no part of you that was embarrassed, more set on embarrassing your partner.

"I cannot shave and it's uncomfortable, and YOU know that I like to be nice and smooth," You could see Niall thinking, his mind ticking as he tried to think of anything that could help you, "You know," you paused, making sure you had his full attention "you could help me?" Niall's eyes widened as he looked at you trying to work out whether or not you were joking.

"Um, well, I could or um we could, well you could always try," Niall stuttered, trying think of anything that would stop him from having to shave you.

"It's fine Ni. I'll live." You smiled at him, interrupting his rambling as you pressed a kiss to his lips and began the process of hoisting yourself off your bed. Niall was quick to aid you with it, happy to show you that he was there for you in certain aspects of the pregnancy.

Whilst you thought nothing of the conversation, coming to grips with the fact that until the baby was born, you were just going to deal with being hairy; you put the thought out of your mind and carried on with your life. Niall however was feeling guilty for not wanting to help you out, you were bringing his child into the world, you were going through nine months of discomfort and strange cravings, your body changing and it would end with a painful delivery that he would have nothing to do with other than the fact that he was by his side. It took him a couple of days, but Niall eventually decided that he was going to help you shave, even if it made him uncomfortable or if he was stressed that he may cut you accidentally. He didn't tell you that he was going to do it, scared he might change his mind and let you down, so he kept it to himself and decided that if he did it, he would surprise you in the shower and the two of you would take it from there.

It was six days after you had spoken to Niall about your shaving situation and in that time you had tried to shave in four out of the five showers you had taken before you had decided that you couldn't even be bothered to attempt it. You had  washed your hair, your body and shaved the parts of your body that you could reach when Niall had entered the bathroom; you were simple enjoying the aches and pains leaving your body as Niall got in the shower with you, wrapping his arms around you and placing a kiss to the bare skin of your temple.

"I'm going to help you with your shaving debacle darling." His words were quiet although sincere, he smiled at you and nodded as you found yourself beaming back at him as you pulled him towards you in order to give him a sweet yet passionate kiss.

"Thank you, Ni!"

He reached for the razor and got down on his knees. He looked up at you as if asking for help, to tell him exactly what to do. He pressed his lips to your inner thigh as he asked you to widen your stance slightly; as he puts the razor to your skin, you begin to tell him how you would do it even though you know that he has shaved his beard numerous times, you gave him answers to any questions he was throwing your way. He took his time, making sure that nothing he did brought you discomfort or would elicit any blood.

It took Niall about five minutes to feel happy and content with the job that he had done, making sure you were as silky smooth as if you had done it before he stood from where he had positioned himself on the floor. Placing the razor back down in its place on the shelf, he wrapped his arms around you once more. The two of you enjoyed the heat of one another's bodies as well as the warm of the water. After relishing in the feeling that had brought you both the feeling of being complete content, the water was turned off and Niall helped you step out of the shower. A towel wrapped around each one of you before you headed back into the bedroom to get changed.

"I'm sorry I said no at first, but I hope you realise that whatever you need me to do, whilst your pregnant and forever after that, I'll do it." Niall's words were so sincere that you found yourself being overwhelmed with emotion. You closed the space between the two of you and pressed your lips to his.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

When you woke up and the rain was pouring it was quickly decided that nothing would happen that day other than you lying in bed with your boyfriend by your side; you snuggled closer to him, he held you tighter in his sleep leaving you more comfortable than before. Percy rolled over as his eyes opened and he smiled down at you, it had been a long time since the two of you had a lie in and even longer since you had spent the whole day in bed. Percy reached out his hand, moving a strand behind your ear as you smiled bashfully up at him.

Work had been stressful for Percy, worried about his damaged reputation because of the family he was born into and yet he was tense as he consistently catastrophised over whether his family would forgive him for working with the ministry; the ministry who had belittled and shamed his father, who had mocked their upbringing and need for hand me downs. Percy had always tried to distance himself from the family stereotype but that had come with distancing himself from his family in general; his younger brothers barely spoke to them and whilst his older brothers tolerated his behaviour, they were still disappointed in him. His younger sister was so infatuated with Harry, and Harry had consistently been targeted and lied to by the ministry which meant that Percy had become the bad guy.

You had decided that everything you need would be summoned to your beds with a quick mumble of 'accio' and a flourish of your wand. The two of you watched movies and ate food, the drumming of the rain against the window kept the mood cosy if not a little sullen; the conversations you had were whispered, your faces close to one another as if to not let anyone else hear your private words, despite the fact that the two of you were completely alone.

Percy enjoyed lying with you, quiet talks and inside jokes, smiles and soft kisses, bodies consistently touching with moments of sweetness shared that brought them even closer together in their relationship. Percy hadn't felt so content for a long time, every ounce of stress and worry left his body as he relaxed in the safe haven of his bed; your duvet was pulled high up under your chin, the warmth of your bodies replicating the warmth of your hearts.

You ate together in bed, drank tea and hot chocolate as you spoke through all the issues in your lives, you told him stories about your work, things that had irritated you or had amused you, stories that had got caused you to cry in frustration and other that had the both of you rolling on the bed cackling with laughter. Percy told you everything that was on his mind too; he had vented about his frustrations with his family and work and how they were intertwined with one another, how he felt as if he was always letting someone down. You had pressed your forehead against his, your palm cupping his cheek before you leant in to press your lips to his.

The two of you had spent the day talking, laughing, comforting one another as well as kissing and hugging and generally spending time in each others arms and although hours had passed, the rain was still pounding at the glass. The sun was beginning to go down and the rain was still falling, your eyes were beginning to flutter close as the regular drumming of the downpour lulled you to sleep. Your head rested against your boyfriend's chest, every inhale you took was together just as every exhale you let out was in synch.

It wasn't long before you fell asleep, the two of you entangled with one another. The rain soothed your slumbers as the two of you found yourself sleeping right through until Percy's alarm went off and he was forced to leave the haven that was your bed, he sighed as he pressed a kiss to your temple as he pulled back the covers. He only had to make it through eight hours until he could be back home and in your arms once more; he wished you good luck with your day before he headed out for the day.

When you had met the Prince of your Kingdom, you had never in a million years believed that you would fall in love with one another and run away to start a family far away from the judgement and disapproval of the Prince's family and the Kingdom in general. Tom had lived with the regiment and strictness of being a part of the royal family for his whole life, he had lived with being told what he can do, how he can look but he refused to be told who he could love. Tom had shown up to your house in the middle of the night, two horses stood behind him, packed with the necessities that the two of you would need to start a new life together, somewhere free from restriction and regulations.

The two of you had fled from the Kingdom that night, riding out to the nearest village where Tom wouldn't be recognised. You set up life there in a humble cottage that Tom had bought for the two of you, he had paid in cash so that the royal family wouldn't be able to track them but that meant that they had very little cash left over; both you and Tom went out to work. Tom enjoyed the more simplistic lifestyle; he certainly enjoyed the freedom of his new life.

It wasn't long after you had moved to start your new life that Tom was down on one knee; you were married days later. With no family of your own and no conceivable way that you would be inviting Tom's family, the ceremony was small and simple. Your marriage was a successful and sweet one, the two of you were always stood by each other's side.

The first baby came nearly a year after your wedding, Tom was unbelievably happy and couldn't wait to show introduce his baby daughter to the world.

The second baby came two years after the first, both you and Tom were glad to be expanding your family. Your second darling girl was just as beautiful and perfect as the first.

Your third baby and only son was born months before your life was disrupted by the past.

Tom was at work when it happened, your oldest had started school but you had the baby in your arms and your youngest daughter was sat on the floor by your feet, playing with some toys. It was whilst you were cooking your dinner that the knock on the door occurred, the three of you ambled to the door; a tall figure stood there, his back to you as he looked out over the fields that surrounded your home.

"Can I help you?" Your voice was both confused and gentle, you had never seen this man before you and he certainly wasn't someone who lived in the village. Your eyebrows furrowed as you waited for him to turn around but when he did, you wished he hadn't. The emblem on his shirt had haunted you for the first few months, the emblem that represented everything that had forced your husband out of the Kingdom that he had loved. Your soft stare turned into a glare, you found yourself growing angry and the door was slamming shut before he could even reply.

The knocking continued, the baby in your arms began to cry as the banging continued. You rocked the baby in your arms as you walked upstairs, hoping that the knocking would stop or at least would quieten; eventually, after another fifteen minutes of occasional banging that would send your son into a screaming fit and caused your daughter to throw a tantrum, the knocking stopped.

Tom was walking home, his oldest daughter holding his hand as they talked about her day. When Tom spotted the figure outside of his house, he stopped dead in his tracks; he would know that figure from anywhere, he had grown up with the man that stood there, that man had been his greatest confidant until he had become his largest betrayer. Tom swung his daughter up onto his hip, holding her closely to his body. He knocked on the door, calling up to you to grab your daughter whilst he dealt with the 'traitor'. You were quick to appear at the door, quickly taking your daughter and occupying her with pleasant conversation to distract her from her father’s dramatic change in tone.

"What are you doing here?" Tom's words were harsh and clipped as his eyes shot daggers at his longest and closest friend, before the man had the chance to reply Tom was cutting him off again. "Or maybe Harrison, you're here to do the deed that my father set you up for. I mean it took you long enough, to find my family, my love... Here to kill them, are you?" You were listening from above, your window was open and whilst you entertained the children, you had been listening in to ensure that Tom was ok. You gasped slightly; eyes wide as you were shocked to hear that there had been a threat on your life. The urgency to your exit from the kingdom made sense now, the reason Tom had suddenly turned up and whisked you away, how there had been no conversation beforehand. You smiled slightly, blinking away the few tears that had pooled in your eyes; he had left the kingdom that he loved, the kingdom that he had planned to rule, all because he loved you.

"I'm not here to kill anyone." Harrison looked at Tom dead in the eyes, telling him that he wasn't there as a threat. "I have bad news, which in all honesty may be good news for you. Could I come in?" Harrison appeared tentative, he shuffled on his feet, Tom noticed this and took it as a sign that he was safe. Harrison had never been nervous around him. Nodding slowly, Tom pulled out his keys and opened the door, inviting him inside.

The two men sat on the sofa, waiting for the other to say something. You appeared down the stairs, your children in tow as you watched the boys before heading into the kitchen. Harrison's brow furrowed; he had not realised that Tom had a whole family, that he had children and was a father, he was unaware how even though it had been years since he had left, Tom had clearly started anew. Harrison sighed; his plan was to uproot their lives all over again.

"There's no easy way to say this," it was Harrison who broke the silence, "your father is dying." You froze, instantly heading towards where your husband was sat. You sat by his side, intertwining your fingers, your son remained close to your chest and it wasn't long before your daughters came dawdling into the room to plop themselves by your feet. Tom found that any sadness he felt disappeared with his family by his side. His father had ordered them killed and yet he was expected to mourn him.

"And you're here to tell me this because?" You were shocked by Tom's reaction; you knew he had not been close to his father, but you had expected him to be sad in some way. "Y/N, darling he wanted to kill you. Purely because he didn't see you as suitable for the royal image. Why should I be sad for a man who tried to deprive me of our beautiful family?" His hand cupped your cheek before he leant down to press a kiss to his son's head.

"He's dying and whilst I know he was a horrible father to you but well, you are still the heir so unless you are going to officially abdicate from your position well, the Kingdom will soon be yours. The people still love you and will surely be happy to see you married with a family. Tom you know you've always been the favourite member of the royal family." Harrison's words were sincere as he looked between you and Tom, pleading with the both of you to accept the position and return home.

Tom turned to look at you, he had a wistful look on his face. You knew how he would love to be home, particularly if it were when he was free from his father, when he would be ruler and could make his own decisions without fear of authority punishing him. You smiled at him, whilst you loved your new life and new home, you loved your husband; he had given up his whole Kingdom for you, you could give up a cottage and a job.

"We will return. On the condition that no harm will come to my family and that they will be accepted by my whole family." Tom smiled widely before pressing his lips to yours. Harrison grinned back at them, patting Tom's arm before standing up.

"I shall leave you to it. When I return to the Kingdom and have ensured that your condition is accepted, I shall send carriages your way to pick up you and your stuff." Harrison paused then, contemplating whether to say what was playing through his mind. "It was nice to see you. I'm sorry about everything from before, I wouldn't have... I wasn't going to, Sorry." He smiled once more before heading towards the door.  

"Do you want to stay for dinner?" You stood abruptly, your son now in Tom's arms. You took a few steps towards Harrison, hoping that he would stay and that him and Tom could rekindle their friendship. Harrison glanced at Tom, who smiled at him and nodded slightly.

"I'd like that."

Harrison and Tom found themselves drinking a beer and joking with one another; Harrison was introduced to the children who took a shine to him immediately. The six of you had spent an evening playing games before the children had gone up to bed and the three of you had continued to spend the rest of the evening talking and reminiscing; Harrison had told you numerous stories of Tom growing up and their antics.

Harrison had left the next morning, gallivanting back to confirm that Tom and his family would be coming home. Your family of five were back in the Kingdom that the two of you had grown up in only ten days later. His father had met his grandchildren only days before he had died and although he had ordered for you to be killed a few years previous, he was glad to meet his heirs even if he only got to know them for a few days.

The next couple of weeks were hectic; both you and your children were introduced to the kingdom, there were multiple parades.

The next month Tom was crowned at his coronation, you by his side as you were named Queen.

The whole of the kingdom adored you, they loved your children, and many remembered you as the cute little town girl who had lived just a few houses away. You were celebrated and rejoiced as all those who met you, loved you.

Halloween Hideout | Fred Weasley

So I would like a Fred x female reader where it’s Halloween and she’s spending time at the burrow and she hates Halloween because he hates scary thing and such Fred and her have been best friends for years and he stays with her instead of going trick or treating with his siblings and they have a blast together and they start to fall more in love with each other and it’s just a whole bunch of fluff and cuteness! :)

Halloween was not for you. Even though your closest friends were the biggest pranksters in the school, you hated the tricks, the pranks, and the general acceptance that you were allowed to scare one another without worrying about the consequences. You didn't like the fact that you were supposed to dress up, that you had to prepare costumes in advance and that you were supposed to spend your whole evening waiting to be scared, the anticipation led you to be racked with stress and you found yourself unbearably tense for the whole week running up to the spooky day. The only thing that you enjoyed about the holiday was the sweets, and even then, you were worried that the tasty treats you enjoyed had been swapped for anything from the Weasley Wizards Wheezes.

This year you were spending Halloween at the Burrow with your closest friends, it had been Fred's idea to invite you although it was George who had actually asked you the question, extending an invite into their home on the provision that you didn't mind sharing a bedroom with Ginny and Hermione. You had hastily agreed although you made them promise not to pull any pranks on you whilst you were there, they rolled their eyes but promised you that all pranks would be reserved for other members of the family.

On the night before the big day, it was forced upon you to sit and watch a scary movie that had been picked by everyone. You weren't the only one who was apprehensive, both Ron and Hermione appeared nervous as well but it was evident that your fear was the most extreme; Fred noticed this and had patted the place next to him before he wrapped an arm around your shoulder and informed you in a quiet whisper that if you necessary, his shoulder was available if you needed a place to hide.

As the movie trundled along, you found that the most of your time was spent with your head hidden behind Fred's arm and shoulder. George smirked from over your head, winking at Fred which caused him to shoot back a glare that forced George to hold back a loud laugh, it was unsuccessful though and a small chuckle left his lips. Your head shot up, turning to look at George, confused as to why he was laughing; there was nothing in this movie that you thought could even be conceived as remotely funny.

When the tension increased, you found yourself moving even closer to Fred. Your hands wrapped around his waist and you even flung a leg over him and you were practically on top of him as the tension grew to such a strenuous level that Fred picked you up and carried you out of the room, not wanting your whimpers to distract the others from the movie. Whilst you were ready for Fred to put you down as soon as you were out of earshot of the film, Fred continued to carry you right up the stairs and into his shared room with George.

You removed yourself from his body, suddenly feeling self-conscious as you realised that you had been pressed up against the boy you had been crushing on for months. Fred was blushing too, but you were so caught up in your own embarrassment that you didn't notice. In the most cliché way possible, the two of you had both had growing romantic feelings for one another; little moments when your skin would touch would cause a shiver to run down your spines, when one of you would laugh, a smile would appear on the others face. You were infatuated with one another, but you were more oblivious then you were stubborn. Everyone had tried to convince you of your feelings for each other, even George has spoken to you and yet you had still refused to believe him; you had assumed it was a sick prank leading you to snap angrily at the Weasley who was only trying to optimise your happiness. The two of you smiled at one another before you sat down next to him.

"I'm sorry about that, um, I don't know why I get so scared. I realise that it's stupid but still, I just get so scared." Your voice was quiet and slightly hoarse, your eyes were downcast. You felt stupid for being so scared, Ginny was sat downstairs, three years younger than you and yet she was still unfazed (although it must be noted that Ginny was by far the bravest of all her siblings). Fred laughed slightly and pulled you in for a tight hug.

"It's honestly fine. I was enjoying cuddling with you though." Fred tried to remain confident, tried to allow his façade that he was completely self-assured be unwavering when in reality he was bricking it that you would admit that you had found it uncomfortable and awkward. You smiled though and sat down next to him on the bed. "It was cute y'know." You looked up at him from where you had rested your head against his shoulder.

"Yeah?" You smiled at him, a small, sweet smile that had him melting inside. He nodded vigorously.

Your eyes drifted downwards, you glanced at his lips. Fred felt himself stammering.

"Can I -"

"THE MOVIE IS OVER!" George came bursting through the door into his bedroom and promptly put an end to whatever was going to happen when Fred had asked that question. The tension in the room had evaporated and you soon found that there was an awkwardness in the air instead. You stood up, suddenly feeling suffocated.

"We should uh-," You gestured downstairs, the awkward tension was swallowing you whole, although you wished the floor would, "We should go back downstairs." You swiftly exited the room, brushing past George and heading straight to where the rest of the family was relaxing downstairs. Ron appeared rather shaken up and Hermione appeared to be doing only smidgen better. A few jokes and jibes were thrown your way about being a scaredy-cat, but you brushed them aside, your mind fully set on the moment that was so close to happening only minutes ago.

Fred and George entered the room a minute or two later, Fred looking irritated and had a scowl set on his face, a look that was rarely ever there, George was smirking although he also looks rather bashful. The family soon headed outside to roast some marshmallows on a bonfire, sweets were passed round, and a few ghost stories were told. You tried to keep a brave face, feeling too uncomfortable to hide yourself in Fred's arms once more. Fred watched you subtly, he wanted to make sure that you were ok but didn't want to be teased by his family if he tried to comfort you. When the storied were over, you, Hermione and Ginny left to head to bed.

Even though you stayed up gossiping for nearly two and a half hours before trying to go to sleep, you found that the terrors from the movies and stories plagued your thoughts. You tossed and turned for hours after the other girls had fallen asleep; you decided that a steaming mug of hot chocolate may be helpful in your pursuit of sleep. The Burrow had a number of creaky steps, so your stealth was significantly limited. The mug of hot chocolate did little to calm you, instead you found that the dark shapes you had seen whilst staring out of the kitchen window were swirling round your head and only making you more hyperactive. You knew the only person that could possibly calm you down was in a room at the top of the house.

You stood completely still for nearly two minutes, contemplating what to do until you finally began your ascent up the stairs to where your safety blanket was lying fast asleep in his bed. The climb up the stairs seemed to go on forever and whilst that may have been due to how quiet you were trying to be, it was also the anticipation of what was at the top.

Once again you found yourself freezing outside his bedroom door, your hands were twisted with one another as you tried to convince yourself to go inside. After another five minutes, you slipped through the door and walked past George's bed to where Fred's limbs were sprawled across his mattress and hanging off the edge of it too; perching on the side of his bed, your hand reached out to gently jostle his shoulder. Rolling over, Fred opened his eyes and glanced at you. He said nothing, instead he just wrapped his arm around you and pulled you down to lay against the mattress; you instantly buried your head in his chest, your arms wrapping around him just as his had done for you. The two of you lay there in silence for a moment or two, your thoughts no longer of anything that scared you but rather that of the boy sleeping right by his side.

"What are you thinking about darling?" His words were quiet enough that they wouldn't wake George but that you would hear. His lips were right against your ear sending a shiver down your spine, you were unsure what to say, whether to say that it was him who consumed your thoughts or that it was the ghost stories that were keeping you up. When the silence continued, Fred moved you so that you were face to face. Once your eyes were connected, Fred found his breath hitching once more. "So, about earlier, you know when George burst in before, I was going to ask -" You smiled at him, nodding slowly in reassurance that he should keep talking, his mumbling and spluttering which you found both amusing and endearing. "I was going to ask if I could kiss you?" You smiled broadened to a grin.

"Yes."

There wasn't even a second between the words leaving your mouth before his lips were upon yours. The two of you stayed like that for a while, your lips moving together as your hands began to wonder. It was a minute or two before you pulled apart, breathing heavily as your eyes opened and connected with one another. The two of you smiled at one another before settling down to get some sleep.

"Let's go to sleep. I promise I'll protect you from anything scary." He smiled into your hair, his lips pressing a soft kiss to your hairline before he shut his eyes and the two of you fell asleep.

Fred kept his promise. When you woke up in the night, he was there pressing soothing kisses to your temple, your hairline, and cheeks, he was there to wipe away the few tears that slipped down your face. Fred protected you from all and any pranks that were taking place the next day, he was with you at all times so that if anyone was to jump out at you, he was there to scare them right back. When the rest of the family went out for trick or treating, he stayed in with you, he lay on the sofa with you watching a movie that wouldn't give you nightmares.

Fred even convinced you to pull a prank on the rest of the family, you had laughed loudly when they had returned, and the prank had quite literally blown up in their face. Fred had smiled down at you whilst he watched you laughing, glad that he had been able to bring you into his world and for you enjoy it.

George wasn't happy about the fact that his partner in crime had skipped out on trick or treating (they always wore matching costumes) or the fact that he was now being pranked (although he was glad you were finally joining in on their passion), George was happy however, that the two of you had finally admitted your feelings to each other.
