ok i'll share the short backstory for this hehe. i'm not a good storyteller so i'd just share the points only :")
In my AU sanji is a newcomer in the neighborhood.
The reason why sanji suddenly disappeared after the summer break is because zeff suddenly had smth to do in their previous place and he also needed sanjiâs help so yea he should bring sanji with him too.
They have cut the phone line in their older house and since itâs also located not that close with other neighbors so that's why he couldn't contact him faster. The original concept was actually i wanted to make him forget to bring his charger since they left the house in the morning when sanji was about to go to school (i have other fanart for this) but heâs smart and quick thinker, i think he wouldnt forget the charger lol.
Zoro didnt have a personal phone during high school because he thought itâs not important yet and also their friends can contact him through house phone.
Unnecessary detail. Sanji is on the roof because heâs expecting that the signal would get better when he go up higher lol.
Sanji and zeff left for few days like almost a week. (zoro is just being dramatic) but who isnt worried when our precious people suddenly 'disappear' like that :")
I actually wanted to draw some other strawhats as well but drawing this was already draining my mood, so..
In that rainy panel, zoro is actually bringing his umbrella but he lied to sanji even though sanji know that he lied.
That panel when zoro got scared of zeff is because they got home late meanwhile zeff need sanji for the resto asap :â)
