Hi F, of course! For you, I drew the Queen of Wands reversed, the Nine of Swords, and the Knight of Wands.

I’m sensing that both you and A are fairly aligned with where you want the relationship to go; you’re both interested in pursuing it further, and likely have a kind of fiery energy together. That said, one of you has the propensity for aggression or manipulation more than the other — this is that inverted Queen energy — and it’s likely that, if things continue as they are currently, that might have a negative effect on both of you. There definitely seems to be a strong pull toward writing — it’s obvious that you feel that it’s a fit for you, and you appear to have the drive, motivation, and tools to be a lifelong student of the craft. The Page of Pentacles is auspicious in that it speaks your thoughtfulness, introspection, and a true groundedness in what’s right for you. The Lovers indicates that this feels like a true vocation for you, a real completion of your soul’s work.

To resolve the issues in your relationship, you’re going to have to take some time alone. This doesn’t necessarily mean you two need to take a break, but more that it will be beneficial for you to take some time alone and figure out just what you want in a relationship. Is this one working for you? Do you need something from him that he’s unable to give? Is there some self-exploration that being with him is stopping you from embarking on? Self-inquiry is the first step to resolving what’s happening between you.

I’m sensing that he wants you to know that he’s feeling confused, ungrounded, and not confident in the relationship or in himself. It’s possible that there’s a lot of internal and emotional work that he needs to do.
