i had a dream once that the white stripes announced a comeback album and i was SO hyped until i woke up. that was over a year ago and i don't think i'll ever recover from that.
so now that taylor has announced her new album, the life of a showgirl, here are my predictions on what the album will be like:
production
since it is most likely going to be produced by max martin and shellback, based off of that new playlist she made, i feel like the album is going to sound similar/have a similar vibe to 1989. the name and aesthetic of the album already scream glittery gel pen songs.
while jack antonoff did produce some of taylor's best songs, it was time for someone else. i was lowkey getting sick and tired of her songs kind of sounding the same.
like the glitter, come on.

the album cover is probably going to be revealed on the "new heights" podcast tomorrow, but from the blurred images, you can kind of make out taylor's figure. kinda. like you can kind of see taylor's hair and face.
it looks like she has her arms stretched out. i feel like the cover will be similar to that one snl promo picture she did.
this but the other way around. idk.
theme?
as for recurring theme of the album, i think there's going to definitely be a A LOT of songs dedicated to her relationship with travis kelce. his debut album 🥰
and like the title of the album suggests "the life of a showgirl", there's going to definitely be some songs on the album about her time on the eras tour or just how her life has been under the spotlight, especially in a public relationship with travis.
collabs
okay so, when taylor nation posted those photos on monday, the last slide was a picture of taylor and sabrina. a while ago, i saw someone mention how we might possibly get a taylor and sabrina collab on "man's best friend". but maybe the collab was for this album the whole time.
either way, i feel like we're definitely getting a taylor and sabrina collab soon, based on that post. either on "the life of a showgirl" or "man's best friend".
this is everything. AND the orange dress too?! girl.
release date
im not too sure on the release date, i feel like it might come out later this year as the records on taylor's site ship before oct 13.
taylor swift is definitely a mastermind. has she had this album under her sleeve this entire time? has she been hinting at this for a while too? she never stops working.
