weird dream

my cat is completely obsessed with watching the bathroom sink drain and I have started calling this "her shows." as in when I'm in the bathroom and she meows and runs up I'll be like "oh you want to watch your shows?" and run the faucet for an extra few seconds so it fills a little. she will then sit there at the edge of the sink for ages totally entraptured by the drain. blorbo from her sink
her shows
On the one hand, i’m amused at the joke. On the other hand, I’m a librarian and this shelving is horrifying.
Well, no shelving system is without fault.

Probably been done before but what if, a future Leo who's all washed up, finds a baby Leatherhead?
Can you guess which episode I rewatched this week? 🫣
genuinely I'm so sick of people wanting all fiction to be ethical. can we all just get a little gross with it. the point of fiction is that it's not real. we can be unethical in fiction; same goes with being perverted with fiction, being unrealistic with fiction, and being grotesque with fiction. not all fiction has to be ethical, not every character has to be ethical, and that's okay. can we stop with the puritanism. be gross. be unrealistic. be whatever. if I don't like it it's not my business as long as we're all clear that its fictional.
via ered.bsky.social, the only kinds of unethical fiction:
people in the replies are going "what about books glorifying unethical things" and "what if it's propaganda" and you, my friends, are who this comic was made for

Vinsmoke siblings... In another AU?
Canon divergence? Let's call it that, where the siblings started having feelings and escaped together with Sanji... only to get separated on The Orbit (in the storm where Sanji meets Zeff).
Reiju is found by the Marines 6 months later, being trained to be one of them.
Ichiji is found by Whitebeard two years later, becoming one of the navigators.
Niji meets Law three years later, becoming his best mechanic and unofficial musician.
Sanji follows the canon timeline, becoming the chef of the Straw Hat Pirates. He is the only sibling who, upon joining his crew, becomes the oldest; the rest are the youngest.
Yonji joined the Kid Pirates five years later, becoming the youngest of the crew. Before that, he worked as an assistant to traveling medics, learning from them.
They find out about the possibility that they're all alive when Sanji's wanted poster is published—well, everyone except Sanji himself.
Reiju | Ichiji
Reiju is Smoker's intermittent headache; the poor guy has to hide Tashigi so he can work without pink distractions. Reiju is aware of how annoying she is, and she finds it amusing.
Ichiji is a navigator who loves collecting maps, except for North Blue ones. If you ask him about his father, he'll say he died, though the cause keeps changing in every conversation. It's kind of awkward when people were actually asking about Newgate, but making people uncomfortable is hilarious. When he found out Ace was Roger's son, he tried to get Whitebeard to come out of the closet in front of a group of Marines, because you know, Ace has two dads. Don't ask, nobody talks about that incident.
Niji | Sanji | Yonji
Niji is Law's walking disaster; if Law tells him he has to stay on the submarine, the next day he gets a message that Niji got lost. If Law says they need to keep a low profile, Niji ends up in the newspaper for a scandal with a famous singer. From far away you can hear a shout of 'NIJI GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW', but you might have just imagined things.
Sanji is the shortest of the siblings—do not bring that up near him, or far away, or ever. It's a sensitive topic for him. He's the last sibling to find out that the rest are alive, and he's the one who cries the most at the reunion. He's the most clueless of all when it comes to romance, luckily his siblings are around. If I were you, I'd run without looking back. I'm talking to you, Zoro.
I know the Kid Pirates' post-apocalyptic punk style doesn't have neon colors, BUT imagine you're about to fight this group of misfits and among them there's a neon guy you have to grab and pull away because you know, the doctor doesn't play around. It leans slightly toward a cyberpunk aesthetic... probably... if you squint.
Now that I look at it, I think he might be from Bartolomeo's crew...
I have a feeling that Curly Waves by PharaohZeth in AO3 has a plot like that... if not, read it anyway lol.
Although I must say that Mind Shambles by TheWeirdOne002 in AO3 inspired me to draw them, yay!
That has to be the most humiliating way to describe one of Earth's most terrifyingly effective predators.
