Alone

For the past week, I’ve been feeling alone. Not the kind of alone that can be cured with “But you have so many friends!” We all know what type of alone I am talking about. 

Cold, sweaty nights.

The un-ending need to be held 

and the un-ending anxiety of not being held.

The feeling of being loved.

Wanted. Made to feel like you matter. Like another human being sees you and says “Yes, I’ll keep this one.” 

The truth is I have nothing to offer. The truth is I want love so badly and do not deserve it, so I take whatever I can get. 

There was a time where I had it, but nothing un-deserved lasts.

the fact that some people can’t afford to be vegan is really a serious issue to me, and i hate that their suffering is only brought up when its time to discredit veganism.

there are thousands of food insecure people right here in oakland, who don’t have access to fresh food and live in food deserts and can’t even afford the basics.  its really scary to know that this country is as rich as it its yet we have even children going hungry almost every night.

so unless you are willing to tackle the issues that the food insecure and the working poor face, please stop bringing it up to discredit veganism!!

poor vegans exist and we can do a lot with a small budget and im sick of being ignored.

please stop conflating the two, and stop throwing poor people under the bus to do it.

Just like pets, if you're a vegan and you're poor, don't be vegan. Just eat food, cuz your children need to eat, and just cuz you choose to drop the cheese and milk doesn't mean they deserve to suffer for it. "But there's no vegan options" good! Know what happens to wolves that don't find a deer?

A bunch of sites are reporting a new Godzilla vs King Kong is officially happening I guess? But I'm not seeing any sources?

It’s from Deadline Hollywood. I really hope it isn’t true (the reporter claims that King Kong is in the public domain, which has me seriously questioning his credibility) or at least doesn’t come to pass (the crossover is allegedly planned for the third Legendary Godzilla movie, which is a loooong way off).

The logistics are odd as well. The strength of the title alone would make a pile of money for sure, but Kong: Skull Island (i.e. a sequel to the original Kong) works about as well as Pacific Rim in terms of a crossover with Legendary’s Godzilla. They’d have to reach pretty far to pull that one off. I’ll recycle one of the gifs I used when Kong: Skull Island was first announced and godzilla-movies.com immediately started screaming about a crossover:

…Sorry, that got rambly, but as the fandom is about to explode with this news (or is exploding already, I haven’t checked yet), I figured I’d say my piece early.
