I love how the Addams Family has ZERO slut-shaming. Like… honey you can dance naked and enslave someone with your womanly charms if you want to, I don’t fucking care, but so help me you’re going to get a college education first.

The Addamses are what every family should aspire to be like (you know; without the dismemberment and electric chairs as play time).  Honestly, have you ever seen more unconditionally loving and supportive parents than Gomez and Morticia?  And not just with the kids, but with each other.  I think what’s especially unique about them is how open they are with everything.  They don’t treat their children like children.  They treat them like they treat everyone else; direct, and to the point.

so many shows about a family use a constant abrasion between the parents in order to bring the plot along. not the addams family, no. gomez and morticia were disgustingly in love to the point that gomez kissing up morticia’s arm to her neck is something that even people who haven’t seen the show will recognize. they have a marriage to strive for

Rory finally pays off her student loans

Friday Night Dinners continue anyway

Jess is involved, somehow, preferably as Luke’s best man

Jess and Rory have a good talk that ends on a hopeful but vague note

We get a full episode to mourn Richard (perhaps he’s still working at the beginning, then dies in a plane crash while on business in Europe)

We get to see Rory REALLY flounder at work, then rise above it

We get to see Rory REALLY kick ass at work

Paris antagonizes Rory at least once per episode (via gchat if nothing else)

Lane and Zack have music success, which is totally practical even with the kids and they hang out in the tour bus like a cool family band

We see the troubadour

We get a reprise of a beloved town festival

The whole town has to band together for ___

Paris comes out as bisexual

Ms. Patty goes on an Eat Pray Love trip to Europe and brings home a younger husband

Taylor resigns from some of his town duties, and Kirk is elected to replace him

We get to hear the words that Amy actually wrote to end the goddamn series, fucking finally

today phoebe randall and i founded FIXTURE MAG. our first issue will come in fall of 2015. pop culture puke will remain intact as a space by and for teenage girls, while fixture welcomes submissions from everyone! i’d realized that there was some things i wanted to write or make that didn’t necessarily fit pop culture puke as they aren’t inherently related to the teen experience or a month’s theme. fixture will be a space for short fiction, interviews, poetry, and essays about art, film, comedy, etc. fixture will also feature accompanying illustrations, so feel free to contact me with visual art. i enjoy having pop culture puke as somewhat of a public diary, but i am looking forward to having fixture as a space for work that doesn’t quite fit with PCP. i’m also super happy to be under phoebe’s art direction!

please submit to this thing! there is no theme. we’re still developing the tone of the mag so we’re open to a variety of work at this point!
