"Are you kidding me?!" You huffed in slight irritation and panic. You sat up in bed, glancing at your alarm clock. None of your alarms have gone off, instead a little note was placed on your nightstand. 'I turned your alarms off. Get some well-deserved sleep kid. See you tonight. - Dad.' You shook your head and sighed, "I told him I was just fine." Deciding to get out of bed, you walked downstairs to the kitchen to grab some food. Another note was stuck to the refrigerator door, it read, 'I prepared your favorite. Eat up! - Dad'. "Why is he signing who the note is from? Who else would be leaving me a note??" You mentally quip, smiling at the very thought.
You placed your food in the microwave and let it heat up. While waiting, you walked over to the couch in the living room and turned on the television. The news was on, usually you disliked listening to the news since it usually put you on edge. But, this time, you stayed to listen for a few minutes. They were talking about a recent incident that happened at UA, which you initially thought was just about All Might becoming a teacher. As you continued to listen, they went into detail about a villain encounter during training this morning. You were in shock, "All of this happened when I was sleeping?"
You ran upstairs to grab your phone, dialing All Might's number immediately. "Please pick up..." You say aloud, nerves getting the best of you. You felt instant relief as his voice was soon heard through the speaker, "(y/n), is everything alright?" His voice sounded strained and exhausted. You felt tension rise through your body, "I should be asking you that! I saw the news about the 'USJ incident'- as they are calling it. Are you okay?" Your heart felt like it was in your throat. He gave a small chuckle, "Yeah, I'm alright. Don't worry." You closed your eyes, nerves slowly fading away, "That's good... But, why did you turn off my alarms this morning?" You whined.
"You've barely had four hours of sleep within the past two days. Plus, you stayed up watching those videos last night remember? I'm just glad I did turn off your alarms... I don't know what I would have done if you would have gotten injured by those criminals..." He mumbles the last part, but you heard him loud and clear. "Is everyone alright? I heard Mister Aizawa got hurt pretty badly." You question, he hums on the other end of the line for a moment, "There are a few that were injured, but not too badly. Everyone is doing fine." He informs.
"Ah, before I forget... I wanted to fill you in on what's going to be happening very soon." He speaks up, "On Monday, Class 1-A will be going on a three-day field trip. It was originally for improving your quirks for a day, but now it was decided that a getaway would help your class get refreshed after an incident like this. Naturally, they added a day or two more." Your curiosity gets the best of you, you perk up and ask about it, "Really? Where are we going?" You grin in excitement. "A few cities over, we have reserved an area for your class to stay at. You will have time to improve your quirks every day, yet you will also have enough time to let loose and relax. Sound fun?" He questions. "Yes! How could I not be excited about that?" You reply immediately, making him chuckle. Your mind wanders back to the injuries, "Wait- but what about Mr. Aizawa?" You ask absentmindedly. He sounds almost amused, "I'm assuming you're worried. You can rest easy, Aizawa will pull through and be there for you guys on Monday. No doubt about it."
"Are we there yet?" Denki groans, leaning back against his seat. Alas, Monday had finally come, and you wished you could say you were enjoying the trip so far. The bus rumbled as it chugged along towards its destination, "I wish..." You sigh, not exactly excited to be sitting by the guy who practically hates your guts. Bakugou senses your irritation and snaps his head to look at you, "Tch- You think I want to sit next to you either (l/n)!?" Bakugou growls, looking out of the window. You distinctly remember him groaning as soon as he heard he was assigned to sit next to you on the bus, "If I'm going to be forced to sit next to her, I demand to sit next to the window!" You had no problem with him taking the window seat, although you secretly wanted to sit there as well. That want was never voiced.
You glanced over at the blonde, wondering how you could even talk to him after he shut down your attempt to make amends. 'Is he really worth the effort (y/n)?' You mentally asked yourself. He began to turn his head back towards you, you quickly looked away from him, hoping he didn't see you staring. "Hey-" He started talking, but it came out rather gruff. You looked back at him, wondering what he was going to say. As if reading your mind, he brought up the topic you were just reminiscing about, "You remember what you said to me at the field?" He grumbled in question. You nod, pretending to not really care to much, "Yeah, what about it?" You had your defenses up, just in case he was trying to mess with you. A squeal interrupted your conversation, "Aw, are you two finally mingling?!" Mina claps in delight. Bakugou loses it, "HELL NO! FORGET IT DAMN IT..!" He huffed and turned away to face the window once more. Feeling as if you were finally going to get somewhere, you reach out to touch his shoulder, "W-wait! You were going to say something!" Your hand grazed his arm gently, but he pushed it away.
He looked annoyed, but took another glance back at you. "Talk to me later. I'm pissed off..." You take your hand away and give a slight nod. "S-sure..." You turn your head to look down the aisle of seats. At the front of the bus, you spotted Aizawa's yellow sleeping bag poking out of one of the chairs, into the aisle. All Might sat across from him, enjoying the ride. The one driving the bus was none other than Midnight, in her usual semi-revealing costume. "(y/n), want to share a room?" Ochako asks you, from the seat behind you. You turned around and gave her a warm smile, "Yeah sure! As long as they don't assign rooms like they did for seats..." You laugh nervously.
You take in the beautiful sights as they pass by, wondering if your hotel will have a similar view. The bus began to slow down as it turned into the parking lot. "We're here!" You heard Kirishima cheer in the back. Mineta was practically drooling over his thoughts, "Dude, what if our rooms are next to the girls?" You heard him whisper. Another one of your classmates could be heard hitting him, "Quit being such a pervert!" You heard them exclaim. Your eyes glistened in excitement, "It's so pretty!" You said in awe, looking past Bakugou's head and out of the window. The teachers began to unload the bus, and some of the guys volunteered to help as well. Momo's voice cut through the noise, "Even the lobby is gorgeous..." She comments. You wholeheartedly agreed, "No kidding, UA really went all out." You nod, setting your heavy bags on the floor for a while.
Ochako approaches you, wearing a cheerful expression, "Mister Aizawa said we could check in! We practically have the rest of the day free right? So, why don't we go exploring after we get settled?" She suggests. You smile back at her, "Sounds good to me...!" You followed her as she walked up to the desk to check in. After only a few minutes, you found yourself walking out of the elevator which took you up to the second floor with Ochako, Mina, and Tsuyu. You excitedly gripped your key card, "Here we are, room 247!" You said excitedly, using your key card to get into the room. The girls followed you into the room and Mina began to speak as soon as she walked in, "Okay, so! Here's the deal, I told everyone to meet up in the lobby at six. So, that gives us a couple of hours to relax before we go off on our adventures. Sound good?" She announces, you nod and look around the room.
The room was split into two mini bedrooms. The bathroom was in the middle, sectioning off the two rooms from each other. Tsuyu walks past you and into the other room, taking notice of the large window, "We even get a view of the beach from here." She points towards the window. You grin widely, "Okay- I totally call this side." You announced. Ochako immediately perked up as well, "Me too!" Mina whines, "Aw, man! Alright, we'll grab this side then...!" She says, motioning for Tsuyu to follow. You set your stuff on your bed and sat in a chair near the window. "I could stare out of this window all day..." You sighed, admiring the view. Ochako giggles, "I wouldn't blame you if you did." She replies, pulling up another chair and sitting next to you.
