If I were writing a sci fi story about a species where half are diurnal and half are nocturnal, I’d probably do some worldbuilding on how their society would work around a wide spectrum of schedules. Except humans are mostly like that already, and the solution we’ve taken is to drug the nocturnal ones and pretend they don’t exist.

Went to my local park today and the amount of kids I saw that were genuinely having fun instead of acting like the stereotypical "ipad kids" that everyone complains about brought me more joy than anything else I saw while I was there.

Goes to show that children do want to thrive in places where they can express themselves in a way other than on the internet. We just have to work to make spaces where they can instead of focusing on industrial developments and whatnot.

I know it's a bit obvious and very corny to say that, but, as a kid who never really had those places growing up, I really think that this is a sign of a better future, both for those kids and for us as a community in general.
