experimental piece i made a while ago while listening to machine-like music and in a weird state of mind. has cool potential and i like the idea but the anatomy and execution is... eh..... used the brush 'lakeside echo' on procreate, which is why its. experimental. i dont use abstract brushes much.

Writers have two modes and they are "i haven't written in three weeks and i am rotting from the inside and everything feels wrong and i don't know who i am anymore" and "i wrote for four hours straight and forgot to eat and it's dark outside and when did that happen and i feel like a god" and there is nothing in between. no chill. no medium setting. just famine or feast and a very confused nervous system.

From chapter 10 of my geraskier fic

Here on a03. I'm having fun trying to balance the Jaskier from the show with Dandelion from the books. Two rather different characters! This is most definitely leaning heavily towards Joey's Jaskier.

They kept on, making their journey back toward the river Pontar and toward Oxenfurt by way of the coast. Helena had gifted them two bread loaves and they shared between them. Geralt grinned at him when he stuffed a last bit of loaf in his trouser pocket.

"For the gulls," Jaskier grinned back. He was feeling less silly, less self conscious. And more affectionate. Several times he took Geralt's hand as they walked. He wished Geralt would kiss him, like he had at the inn.

"When we get back to Oxenfurt..." Jaskier wasn't sure what he wanted, only that he didn't want the journey to be over. It felt like Geralt might leave him and never return.

"Your bed seemed comfortable."

When Jaskier looked, the witcher had an actual fucking twinkle in his eyes. Jaskier shoved him.

"It is," he said, laughing a little.

"And what's yours is mine." Geralt never pushed back when Jaskier got physical and so when the bard shoved him again, Geralt only grinned.

"It is," Jaskier said. He held onto the round periwinkle shell as they traveled.

"He crooked his finger to beckon the witcher to him and Eskel followed with a fond eye roll. Standing chest to chest near Eskel’s bed, Jaskier peppered his lips with light, teasing kisses, backing away with a cheeky grin when the witcher tried to deepen it. Eskel gave a frustrated growl and pulled the bard flush against him, squeezing his hip in warning. Jaskier gave in and pressed his mouth fully onto the witcher's and kissed him hard. The beginnings of Eskel’s stubble scratched at his jaw and he threaded his fingers through the man’s hair. Their kiss was no less electric than it had been at the cave. The undercurrent of need and slight desperation propelling them forward."

Jaskier recognised some of them, as bite marks tended to be distinctive, but most were just slashes in the pale surface of his skin. "Sorry about the scars," Eskel said nervously. "I can put my shirt back on." He offered, grabbing for the light fabric. Jaskier levelled him with a look. "You will do no such thing. I am admiring, let me admire."
