#bitch say what
has anyone ever before been so comprehensively torn to shreds in their life tho
My favorite part about that line is that it implies that Gilderoy Lockhart was a more competent teacher than Dolores Umbridge. And that may be the biggest insult in the entire series.
I never even thought about her implying Lockhart is more competent that her. Minerva you savage.

Conclusion: Voldemort was the most useless, magic dependant wizard that ever existed. He could have lived till like 200 if he just ate well and exercised, but no he had to go and split up his soul and ruin perfectly good jewellery, fucking dumbass.

unclench your fists, my lover, the war is over now. (i’ve forgotten how to uncurl my fingers from the trigger.) be gentle, my lover, the war is over now. (i don’t remember what it’s like not to have gunsteel in my bones.) come home, my lover, the war is over now. (i’m back at the place i left but home is gone where i cannot find it.) sleep, my lover, the war is over now. (the war follows me into sleep. i’m afraid i’ll never leave it behind.) kiss me, my lover, the war is over now. (my fingers still drip red and i do not want to stain you with them.)
teach me how to be at peace again ( j.p. )
I WILL NOT LOSE ANYONE ELSE.
(i refuse)
And one day, my war will end. And I won’t die. And I will not tolerate abuse from anyone. I am strong.

Morality Meme
🌟: Do they consider themselves a good person?
Peter has never considered himself wholly ‘good’. He always knew that the way his mother had brought him up had skewed his morals, and while he tries to be conscious of this fact, it still stands in his way at times.
⚠: Would they seek revenge against someone who’s harmed them or the people they care about?
No. He certainly won’t cry if something terrible happens to them, but he wouldn’t go after them himself. In part, this is because he knows revenge can consume you, and thinks it’s not worth the effort, but a great deal of it is because he knows dueling isn’t his strong suit, and that’s usually where the path of revenge leads.
🍷: Would they manipulate someone to get what they want?
To an extent, yes. Peter is no master manipulator, but he’ll tell white lies and leave out information if he doesn’t see other options.
The trauma survivor’s emotional experience of love and happiness might be blunted. He might struggle to communicate his emotions openly and limit expressions of affection. To avoid provoking emotions related to the trauma, the survivor may not disclose much about his traumatic experience to you. Poor communication of emotions, affection, and the details of pivotal life experiences can erode the intimacy in your relationship. The survivor may feel that you and others cannot understand or relate to his experience, which makes him feel disconnected. The more he feels disconnected, the more he may detach from you and others in his life.

Since so many DeathEaters have kids @ Hogwarts around the same age, I headcannon that Voldy was responsible for some match making within his ranks. Not that he cares if his servants are in love or happy. I think it's more along the lines of "Make me more minions!". Along that line of thinking how exasperated would Voldy be with Snape celibacy? Severus is Voldy's most loyal and skilled servant, I imagine he would want Snape to continue and "correct" his bloodline, being a halfblood. Thoughts?
Here’s my personal headcanon:
Voldemort didn’t give two shits about blood purity.
He used existing bigotry against half-bloods and muggleborns to exploit weaknesses in the power structure of old families and money to get himself power and wealth so that he could, in essence, create a literal class war in order to enslave those who were considered “inferiors.”
Here’s the thing- I doubt that his Death Eaters and/or the “old families” would have survived well in a Voldemort-run world. Sure, in canon, it is said that Voldemort seeks eternal life, but that is not really what I think he is seeking.
He is seeking to become a god.
Think about it: limitless power, immortal, invulnerable, and demands worship from his inferiors (who are everyone).
Voldemort thinks that magic makes him special, but he wants to be more special than everyone else.
Therefore, he wouldn’t give a crap if anyone got married and/or had children. His primary concern is for people to follow his orders like good little cult members. Luckily, wizarding society seems to be very “women stay home while men have jobs” when it comes to parenting/children, so it would make sense that Narcissa would not be punished for staying home with Draco (and you never meet Crabbe or Goyle’s mothers, so it’s probably safe to say that they’re not Death Eaters).
I imagine that Voldemort is actually glad when his “most ardent” followers actually forgo having babies. After all, his two closest Death Eaters seem to be Bellatrix and Snape. Both of whom do not have children of their own. To some extent, Voldemort feels that this is an expression of devotion- being unwilling to sacrifice all that time to raising a mewling infant and instead giving service to their Lord.
A lot of people think that “Dark Lord” is meant to refer to “lords and ladies, etc” but there is no wizarding royalty. I like to think that Voldemort meant “lord” as in…a god- the Dark Lord God.
a plot where they’re both at an art show and they’re stood next to each other at a certain collection and he asks her opinion and she completely blasts it saying she doesn’t understand any of it and it looks like something a kid would do and he just laughs and nods with her. but then later on he’s revealed as the artist and she feels so bad that she blasted his work and he just found it pretty amusing and they go out for coffee as her apology and just imagine him taking her to art galleries and she’s just brutally honest saying she doesn’t understand any of it so he explains and wow
