I try my best to tag common triggers, but I will miss some. You are welcome to ask me to tag something specific, and I will let you know if I can.
WIPs
My WIPs cross a lot of different genres, but they all feature at least some romance. Common themes include coming of age and found family. All of them feature disabled and/or queer characters.
These are all working titles because I procrastinate on naming anything. This list is also still a work in progress and likely to change and evolve as I continue to try and work on these.
Please feel free to ask me about any of them, I love to talk about my projects.
This blog (my main blog) will feature all posts about all of my projects eventually. But I have a side blog for each of my projects, so please feel free to follow/set notifications for the ones you're interested in.
This blog (and relevant side blogs) will not be spoiler free for my stories. I will be mindful of hiding spoilers for other stories behind a read more with appropriate warnings. If you don't want to risk seeing spoilers for the stories I'm working on writing, it's probably for the best that you don't follow any of my blogs.

Project Academy

[Name TBD] Academy is an elite private school with sky high tuition fees and very limited scholarship spots. It's also rumored to be haunted and/or cursed, thanks to a series of unusual deaths that have occurred on the campus grounds.
Officially, all those deaths have been ruled as tragic accidents, but even those that don't buy into the whole haunting idea don't actually believe that these were all accidents.
[Name TBD] Academy is also [BH]'s big chance, his chance at everything he wants from life, laid out on an excessively expensive silver platter. He doesn't believe in ghosts, or curses, and his main concern is maintaining his scholarship so that he doesn't get kicked out for an inability to pay tuition. He just needs to make sure that his grades stay perfect and that he never gets caught breaking a rule.
He knows he can do it, and he's sure it will be worth it in the end.
If only trouble, in the form of a rich boy with a penchant for reckless behavior, wasn't so alluring.
[SH] has never had to worry about money. He's never had to worry about failing out of school or getting expelled, because his family donates way too much to the academy for that to ever happen. He has a nice house, plenty of friends, and parents who love him.
Everything should be fine in his life, and it is. Better than fine actually, it's great.
If only the new scholarship kid would stop finding him out on the roof late at night maybe that'd be a little more believable.

Project Baby

Project Baby is a Romance / Coming of Age / Slice of Life story.
It features accidental pregnancy, fake dating, a bunch of misunderstandings, and a heaping side of found family/family of choice.
[CC]'s life has been laid out for her. All she has to do is fall in line, be the perfect daughter, the perfect student, the perfect girlfriend. It's fine, good actually, it doesn't matter that she feels like she's being slowly strangled to death by the confines of her life. She wouldn't even know what to do if these decisions were left up to her. She'd probably mess it all up majorly.
[SH]'s life is going nowhere. He has no career or educational dreams, no great passion to guide him to a life that feels worth living. The main thing he cares about are his friends, and he's well aware that he's on a ticking time clock before they all follow their passions to bigger and better things than the small town mundanity that he's settled for.
[EM]'s got big dreams, and buried deep down the certainty that he doesn't have what it takes to achieve them. So he wraps himself in false confidence and focuses too much on other people's problems in order to better ignore his own.
[BH] did not sign up for this. He was so close, to getting out of this town, finding his own place, freedom. Then his dad died. And his step mom skipped town. And now, he's the only adult his younger sister has left. He's juggling school and work and taking care of her, but at this point he's running on fumes... and something has to give. Soon.
When [CC] accidentally gets pregnant it sends these four on a chaotic crash course into each other's lives.

Project B&B

Project B&B is a cozy Romance / Slice of Life story.
It follows a main character who buys a run down, and long abandoned, bed and breakfast on the coast in a town he'd never even heard of until he saw this listing.
He plans to fix the place up and hopefully get it in working order again in time for his friend’s wedding next year. To do this he’s going to need the help of the locals, including a handsome and mysterious handyman.

Project Cafe is a cozy Romance / Slice of Life / Found Family story.
[CC] is freshly divorced and has no idea who she is outside of the unhappy marriage she has spent her entire adult life in. Fortunately for her, an unexpected inheritance gives her a chance to try to figure that out far away from her overbearing mother and the small town she has lived her whole life in.
Maybe trying to turn her estranged aunt's old building in the city into a cafe is a mistake, but anything has to be better than moving back in with her parents.

Project California is a series of interconnected and (hopefully) shorter Romance / Slice of Life stories.
All taking place in the same coastal city in California.
The first up in the series is about a main character who runs into his old high school crush by chance one sunny day at the beach, eight years after having last seen him. The crush, freshly divorced and looking for a fresh start for him and his two kids, has recently moved to the city.

Project Cinnamon

Project Cinnamon is a cozy Slice of Life / Romance / Omegaverse story.
[SH] never really planned to be here.
As an alpha, he's not really what people picture when they picture "babysitter". But a couple years ago his dad insisted he needed a summer job, and as it turns out, he's actually pretty good at this.
So he kept it up, even once school started again, and he's been doing it ever since.
He likes the job, normally, but now that he's in his senior year he's feeling the pressure. Between his struggling grades and his dad pressuring him about college and several of the kids he regularly babysits getting to that age where they should be coming into their designations soon...
He has enough on his plate without [BH], a volatile alpha classmate of his, continuing to turn up at inopportune moments.
But, despite what [SH], and nearly everyone else, believes... [BH] is not, in fact, an alpha. He's an omega.

Project Hero

Project Hero is an Action / Adventure / Coming of Age / Superhero story.
Set in a world where superheroes represent a very small, but well established, subset of the population.
[Established Hero Name TBD] is known for being very reluctant to take on any sidekicks, only taking on his first sidekick, a second gen super with a pristine resume, well into his lengthy career.
So, when he suddenly decides to take on a second sidekick and take a gamble on a relatively unknown pick, who already has a criminal record to boot, suffice to say it surprises everyone.
Including his first sidekick, who now finds himself promoted to senior sidekick and tasked with supervising the new guy.

Project House is a Horror / Sci Fi / Fantasy / Coming of Age / Romance story.
Logan is 17. He will not live long enough to be 18.
He’s dying.
Which sucks enough as is, without his father moving him across the country, and away from everything he knows and loves, to send him to an end of life care home for terminally ill young people.
All is not what it seems at the house though, and it may just be the medications making him paranoid but Logan begins to believe there’s something weird going on in the basement.

Project Knight is a Historical Fantasy (Medieval) / Adventure / Romance story.
It centers around a main character who has been forced into early retirement from the capital city guard, after a dragon attack left her disabled and traumatized. But, when the prince declares his missing sister dead, and claims the throne in her absence, the main character must face her fears and newfound challenges to embark on a quest to find the missing queen.
She picks up some friends, both old and new, along the way.

It centers around a character who is secretly a mer and who doesn’t know enough about his mother’s people or his own abilities. And his classmate, a regular human, who doesn’t feel like he knows enough about anything but who does have a pool.

Project Outpost

Project Outpost is a Historical Low Fantasy (very loosely inspired by 1850s ish US) / Romance / Omegaverse / Marriage of Convenience story.
Set in a lonely little settlement deep in woods rumored to be home to monsters.
[BH] is an omega desperate to get out of his father's house.
[SH] is a lonely homesteader who has lost his reason for being out here in the first place.
Their plan might not be the best plan, but it's all that they've got.

Project Pantheon

Project Pantheon is a Fantasy / Romance / Action / Political Drama.
It follows a main character who is a demigod, the son of a human woman and a god who has been indefinitely banned from the immortal realm.
At the start of the story, the main character is allowed by his father to move to the immortal realm, in order to finish his training on how to be a god and in order for him to keep an eye on and help his half sister who their father favors.
The main character isn’t sure what to expect when going to the immortal realm for the first time, but the prince of the gods, and all of the dangerous secrets that come with him, is not anything he could have predicted.

Project Prince

Project Prince is a Romance / Historical Fantasy (Medieval) / Coming of Age story.
The crown prince, already somewhat of a rebellious troublemaker by all accounts, is left heartbroken and spiraling when his chosen bride leaves him at the altar and flees the country. [BH], by virtue of being the newest and least liked member of the royal guard, is the unlucky sod that has been assigned to the Prince’s personal protection.
A slightly more dignified way of saying he’s now the Prince’s royal babysitter.
With all the responsibility of getting the Prince in line for his upcoming nuptials to the foreign princess of his father’s choosing, and none of the authority to tell him what to do.

Project Roam

Project Roam is a Romance / Coming of Age story.
It follows two childhood friends and a dog on a cross country road trip the summer after graduation (and the death of the one of their mothers).
This story is nonlinear and is intended to eventually be a graphic novel.

It is set in a world where everyone has a 'shift' an animal form they can shapeshift into at will.

Project Supernatural

Project Supernatural is a Supernatural / Romance / Adventure story.
[BH] never wanted to move to [Town Name TBD]. But, unfortunately, his father doesn't really take other people's wants and needs into consideration when making his decisions.
It's fine, [BH] tells himself. He just needs to make it to the other side of his 18th birthday, then he can leave his father and this shitty little town behind forever.
It's not that much more time, and [BH] is good at surviving shitty situations.
But the more time he spends in [Town Name TBD] the more he notices that there is something going on here, beneath the surface, buried under all the small town charm and friendliness. That there's something unnatural about the stillness of these streets at night. That it always feels like something unseen is watching from the woods that surround the town.
And some of the people here, there's just something about them, that sets [BH]'s nerves on edge and his instincts warning of danger.
He knows he should just keep his head down, mind his business, survive to 18. Leave.
He knows better than to let himself become the cat that curiosity kills.
But knowing what's in his best interests and actually following through with it are two separate things, and [BH]'s never been great at the later.

Project Werewolves

Project Werewolves is a Fantasy / Romance / Werewolves / Omegaverse story.
Set in a world where everyone is a werewolf, with a lot of focus on packs and worldbuilding around a society where packs were a foundational part of building said society.
The story follows a main character who has been dealt a bad hand in life, and who has always been involved with the less savory parts of society. He has recently been kicked out of his latest pack for talking out of turn and accidentally stumbles into the territory of a much different kind of pack than what he is used to, setting him on a path he could have never predicted.

Project Western

Project Western is a Western / Romance / Heist / Adventure story.
It's got two main plot lines built around four main characters.
[SH] - The son of a rich business tycoon, who has broken away from his parents and the privileged life they gave him, and all the strings that came with it, to become a charming smooth talking leader of a gang of outlaws. Relieving the rich of their excesses and for the most part leaving the normal folks alone.
[BH] - From a poor and unhappy background, [BH] struck out on his own quite young and has since used his determination, work ethic, and horsemanship skills to build a somewhat decent life for himself. That is until he gets accused of being in league with a gang of bandits, and will be held accountable for their crimes if he can't bring them in to answer for them themselves.
[CC] - Born to upper class parents, [CC] is expected to be a good girl, to be quiet, obey her parents, and marry for their benefit to the husband of their choosing. But after getting overwhelmed and stepping away for a moment of quiet in the baggage car of the train she is traveling on with her parents and fiance, she finds herself unintentionally kidnapped by a gang of outlaws, one of whom is surprisingly familiar.
[EM] - Born & raised poor as dirt, [EM] has been working since he was a kid. One of his first jobs was as an errand boy for a wealthy local family. Since then he's turned his career ambitions to something a bit less legal and has joined a gang of outlaws. When the gang accidentally robs a train of more than just the luggage, he is surprised to encounter the familiar face of the first girl he ever had a crush on.

Project Wings is a Fantasy / Romance / Slice of Life story.
It doesn’t have much in the way of plot yet, just vibes, research, and a lot of world building. It’s set in a modern world not super dissimilar to our own, but populated by people with wings.
If anyone ever wants to talk about cool birds to consider as reference species for characters in this one, or fun bird facts, I’m all ears.
