I do like how Rin does often offer very realistic solutions to others' problems (usually mage-related). Particularly in this instance in the aftermath of Rider vs Saber (Saber's severe magic depletion). It's not a morally sound solution, but it is perhaps one of the only possible solutions that Shirou can do on his own as an independent master (without others helping).
Of course whether said morally dubious decisions (by either Rin or Shirou) are actually ever executed are dependent on multiple factors and also another ball of worms to unravel.

Also truly the choices in the fate route are so easy once you clock that choosing the suicidal/heroism/don't listen to people options lead to you progressing
Off topic but the ever so slightly longer-than-they-really-should-be-arms are really evident when you see them on the male characters. They really do look longer than they should be if you start counting for fingerlength. Or maybe it's because of how their standing sprites are...standing? Anyways-

Every once in a while in the fate route you really do get the impression that Saber and Rin have become fast friends/allies/get along quite well, actually. Also as direct as Rin is when it comes to a lot of things, she's also pretty non-direct in a lot of other areas (namely, emotional areas)

I'm actually playing the realta nua version mixed with classic content so I'll probably have to double back to look at the substituted scenes in realta nua. Although I'll probably do it when I'm finished with either all the routes or the specific route the classic scene comes from. I'm not going to comment extensively on the R-18 stuff because I don't really have much of an opinion on it.
The writing for it is kind of amusing, although it is evidently based on outdated sex education. But I suppose it fits the tone that Shirou's perspective would give to a "you must have intercourse now or die" kind of scenario. Which, well, it should, given that this visual novel is narrated in first person pov.

Anyways to close off this session: "Heartbreaking: The Worst Person You Know Just Made a Great Point" (Or uh, sort of summarising the Archer & Shirou relationship in Fate route? Obviously this is hyperbole and mostly a joke about how Shirou is clearly irritated by Archer at many points of this route but still respects him)

Note: I should probably finish my part 3 ramblings on rin-ships but this was pretty funny to brainstorm for so I'll dunk this onto the table instead for now
Can't decide whether it's funnier if Rin actively tries to hide her magical girl schtick for the first few days and then fails miserably, or just goes "ok archer just follow me. Don't question ANYTHING" on what is quite literally the day after she summons Archer.
Of course, Archer questions everything because clearly the timeline was not how he remembered it. Probably. (Does this mean Archer's like, a super-sized mascot for this AU? Maybe???) I dunno but this would be the funniest AU to have YumiRin in it because we can skip all of the angst (read: Shirou Emiya's dream to become a hero gets drastically de-railed by an early encounter with the local Fuyuki hero of justice/magical girl so he's already on the track to NOT become another Archer EMIYA) and have Rin kick down the metaphorical doors and drag Archer out to experience happiness(TM) as he watches (and participates tbh) the wacky insane hijinks Rin gets herself into alongside Ruby as she keeps up the world's worst (best? I mean to be fair only Sakura knows it's Rin but the point of everything was so that Sakura wouldn't find out it was Rin so…) kept secret identity.
(I mean this AU's premise could totally accommodate SakuRin or Rintoria/SaberRin or YariRin/CuRin or ShiRin because it's so "yeah so that happened (because it was funny)" but the YumiRin variant is extremely funny to me right now)
If you're wondering what happens with the HGW in this AU, the power of love and questionable friendship takes care of it (Rin and Ruby fiddled around with the giant ancient magic circle and then actually solved the problem by magical girl laser beaming it). Now all the servants get to run around a la Emiya Gohan style and all the plotters (Zouken, Gilgamesh, and Kirei) have to deal with derailed plans that got derailed in an increasingly unhinged fashion. Although to be more specific Zouken has to deal with dementia and a general uh, lack of magic I guess.
Also I suppose Ruby kind of maybe mellows out to be more chaotic good rather than her original self-centered chaos. That would be the kind of character development I'd have to build in an actual story though, so I won't go too in-depth over that.
Usual disclaimer: Not Prillya-related at all as I haven't seen that series, and I'm not really interested in what it offers.
I'm just here to spread Magical Girl Rin Who Kind of Maybe Goofed Up With The Grail(TM) because Ruby thought it would be funny except now the Grail(TM) no longer functions like it should in canon (kills everyone in the general vicinity once activated) because if the magecraft/magic system in fate can be explained by coding then clearly any mishaps can be fixed by the superior power of mechanical engineering, also known as:
"Yeah if you hit it hard enough it'll probably reset and solve your problems"

This is a completely random idea based on the enemy servants page of the hsr x fsn (somehow ubw in theory) collaboration event, but personally, it's funny to imagine Argenti and Rin interacting as a master-servant pair, if only because I feel like their dynamic would be partly:
Argenti: *randomly showed up again, having just gotten rid of an opponent in the HGW, and so is now waxing poetic about said opponent*
Rin: ??? You know what sure what the hell
And also one where Argenti directly encourages Rin's more human traits (Idrila-approved 👍) as she dies of cringe (aka short-circuits because she's never actually allowed herself to have extended genuine contact with others without putting on a mask)

This is some very funny relationship progression we are having between Shirou and Saber, but also generally fun trio conversations between Shirou, Saber, and Rin because sometimes of how they all bounce off of each other and either one of them takes the "guys what are you doing" ball

It's kind of blink of miss but I did spot that angry mark on Saber during the explanation re: divine mysteries and how servants can usually only be attacked by other servants if you want to defeat them
