March 2013: A UK report found that thousands of British children had committed sexual offenses. In all, 4,562 minors – some as young as five – committed 5,028 sexual offenses over a three year period from 2009-2012. Experts blamed “easy access to sexual material.”

racism in porn:

Latinos and Hispanics: Pornography tends to stereotype Hispanic women as feisty, “hot and spicy Latinas”, sexy Señoritas, with a high sex drive and low impulse control. Many are portrayed as maids, illegal immigrants to the United States, or unfaithful wives. Since Latinos and Hispanics can be of any race (many are white Hispanic Americans, Mestizos etc.), cultural characteristics are sometimes portrayed via iconic items like South and Central American national costumes, sombreros, maracas, or Mexican dresses.

Asian women: Are viewed as sexually willing or submissive. Asian men are hardly portrayed in pairing with white women and not as common compared to white men with asian women porn. Asian women are mainly portrayed as the: “Dragon Ladies”, as servile “Lotus Blossom Babies”, “Innocent School Girls” in private school uniforms, “China dolls”, “Geisha girls”, war brides, or prostitutes. Japanese media have also at times sensationalistically promoted the stereotype of Japanese women overseas as “yellow cabs”.

Black performers: Large penis size in Black men is consistently emphasized in pornography, often by exclusively casting actors with larger than average penises such as Lexington Steele, Kid Bengala, Jack Napier and Mandingo. Men are often treated to stereotypes of gang affiliation, working class labor, and are overrepresented in gang rape fetish films. Also, they are represented as overly aggressive and demanding, and are performing with white women. Similarly, black women are often portrayed with large breast and buttocks, or ‘booty’. They normally play a submissive role while performing with a white male.

Kid’s access to pornography:

Youth who look at violent x-rated material are six times more likely to report forcing someone to do something sexual online or in-person versus youth not exposed to x-rated material. [12]

Middle-school aged boys who view X-rated content are almost three times more likely to report oral sex and sexual intercourse than boys who do not use sexually explicit material[13]  

A study in the southeastern U.S. found that 53 percent of boys and 28 percent of girls (ages 12-15) reported use of sexually explicit media. The Internet was the most popular forum for viewing. [14]

Nearly 74 percent of pornography websites surveyed display adult content on their homepage (accessible to anyone) before asking if the viewers are of legal age. [11]

Contrary to what porn has taught you, if she’s screaming/moaning in pain/her face is contracted/she isn’t involved, it means she’s not enjoying it and for whatever reason she doesn’t feel like it would be safe to ask you to stop. If this has ever happened to you, flesh news: you’re a rapist.

Porn, like the other two mediums I just mentioned, literally exists for one class of people to degrade and dehumanize the other for entertainment. We know that representation matters and media depiction influences societal views on a group, but the rules are somehow different when it comes to porn of all things? Even when orgasms are a powerful conditioning tool? Furthermore, porn involves real people who, like the post shows, are brutally sexually abused to produce it.

Queer is a Slur

I am over how mainstream the use of the word queer has become. The term queer allows people access to the community that shouldn’t be there, such as straight people who think sexuality is based on gender. It’s also used to strip representation and history away from the LGB by lumping them with gender identities and psuedo-sexualities. Movements which fought specifically for same sex rights are rebranded as “queer”, stripping away the real story of their struggle. 

The definition of queer is “strange or odd”. It’s a slur used against people who experience same sex attraction; There is nothing abnormal about being attracted to the same sex. Queer is a slur that is still used today to hurt same sex attracted individuals. Also, straight people are entirely too comfortable using this term. It’s no longer LGB studies, it’s now “queer” studies. I am white, and I will definitely not be going around calling African American history n-word history. If this slur was truly reclaimed, its use would be isolated to the LGB community.

Thank you. Queer is absolutely a slur. I don’t believe I’ll ever accept being called that, and it’s an easy way for uninteresting heterosexuals to squeeze their way into what is essentially not a club. Being same-sex attracted isn’t a fun club and I wish that it would be seen as such. People see LGB as a group of attention-seeking individuals flaunting frivolously flamboyant, dangerous stereotypes. They see us as a fucking joke now.

It makes me feel so hopeless knowing that general LGB acceptance is declining, and I don’t need to provide a research link. Look at Tik Tok, look at Reddit, loot at the places Gen Z frequents. They’re getting tired of the LGB because of the T. We’re starting to be stereotyped as the “queer/hair dye/ shitty clothes/shitty haircut” kids and that’s so damn harmful.

I want to live my life. Just live it. I’m no less homosexual than some kid on social media with green hair. I don’t need to qualify as gay, I don’t need to meet requirements aside from being same-sex attracted.

I think that’s one thing that makes non-LGB people so mad. Because we just exist, there’s no stereotypes we need to fill. Just like how the only prerequisite to qualify for being a woman is being an adult human female, LGB people are diverse because you must be born with what you have–it’s not a costume you step into.

sorry if this is a rlly rlly dumb question but i’ve heard a lot of ppl talk about men who were falsely accused of rape getting their lives ruined by the accusations, and i wanted to know your thoughts on this.

I’m here to take all questions, as long as the person who asks them is willing to listen and learn. So I hope you listen closely.

The most commonly cited figure says that 5% of rape allegations are false. This figure comes on studies done on college students, of which it is reported roughly 90% do not report their assault to the police. So, if we take the number of rapes that occur and the number of false accusations, that means false accusations occur at a rate closer to around .005%.

So then we must ask, what makes a rape allegation deemed ‘false’? The classic example in popular media is “young girl regrets sex, claims rape”. However, we’ve found in research that simply isn’t the case. What’s more common is a teen girls parent finds out she’s sexually active and files a rape claim, that qualifies as a false claim. Also common is grown adults caught cheating, rape claim filled, often then redacted when the truth comes forward. That counts as a false claim. You know what counts for the majority, though? Let me give you an example. In one case, the police determined that a rape had to be a false claim because people had seen the accuser let her eventual rapist help her take her ski boots off. This classified her claim as a false one. The police saying your claim is false gets it classified in those same fake rape accusation statistics.

So how many false rape claims lead to convictions? A study found that of 216 complaints later classified as false, only 6 led to arrest, and of those 6, only two faced charges. And then those charges were overturned. There is simply no evidence to support the idea that false rape accusations routinely result in serious consequences.

So then how do false rape reports compare to false reports of other crimes? Let’s run some numbers. Over a 25 year period, 52 convictions were overturned due to false rape claims. In that same 25 year period, 790 convictions were overturned due to false murder claims. So that means you’re about 15 times likelier to be falsely convicted of murder than of rape.

So in conclusion, false rape claims aren’t this massive issue people pretend they are. Additionally, if a man you know is acting very concerned that he’s going to get falsely accused of rape, you probably want to avoid being alone with him…these men don’t fear lies, they fear the truth of their actions. They fear accountability.
