(don't take this too seriously, I'm basically making oc's out of Michael and Dagon's human versions)

human!Michael's name is Michelle (she/they)

human!Dagon's name is Devon (she/her)

Michael owns the pub, and Dagon is her wife

Dagon is a marine biologist

Michael lets Dagon help out when she has free time (hence why Dagon is only seen pouring beer and wiping the counter, not mixing drinks)

Michael used to bartend here while working a secretarial job, but the previous owner decided to retire and sold the building to them

Dagon would come to the pub to study while she was in college and started hopelessly flirting with Michael as soon as she laid eyes on them

they live in an apartment upstairs above the pub

Michael decorated the pub, Dagon decorated their apartment

Dagon and Justine are besties and like to tease Michael with how well they get along (Michael knows that they're joking but it does sometimes get under their skin)

I'm torn between going super meta and having the pub be called 'The Angelfish' or doing something more clever-

currently working on a fic of these two in this universe to cope with the finale, so look out for that!

I loooove Dagon's navy uniform in season two!! it really made her stand out as a member of the Dark Counsel and not just a record-keeping demon.

i'm rewatching s2 of good omens right now and every time my beloved archangel michael or my beloved lord dagon come up on my screen i press pause, then i let out the most feral screech ever known to humanity and start giggling like a silly silly girl and kicking my feet until i exhaust myself. then i press play and after they say another word i pause it again and repeat the screeching and giggling. that's a never ending cycle and i'm here for it.

Dagon, Lord of the Files | v1 (season one)

honestly I can't choose which of Dagon's outfits/looks is my favorite, I like them all for different reasons. season one definitely leans into the ocean vibes more and I like the scales better. but the regency era navy uniform in season two with the updo?? so good-

Dagon looks great in the trailer for season three, I can't wait to see them in a more brightly lit space so we can see the small changes from season 2's outfit!

what is Michael's deal?

okay, so I want to talk about Michael (shock, ik)

in the Job minisode, Michael is constantly correcting other angels on things about human culture that they get wrong:

let me emphasize... Michael is more knowledgeable about human culture than the angel and demon who—at that point—had lived on Earth with humans for 2500 years??

compare that to the Michael we see in season two:

they are completely detached from how humans work, to the point where just interacting with material objects is totally foreign and uncomfortable for them. they believe Aziraphale's lie about how humans work without hesitation.

they no longer have any faith in their own knowledge.

so what happened to cause such a total change?

I like to think that it was Joan of Arc. (popular idea in fanon, I know, but the idea that Joan of Arc's death drastically changed Michael for the worse is just so good thematically—)

and what was that Crowley said in s2e3? "Humans, you don't let yourself get too attached." I wonder if Michael learned that lesson the hard way.

Whatever the case, Michael has had something lingering under the surface for thousands of years. And in season three, I hope we get to fully explore exactly what that was.

I love overanalyzing Michael's 14ish minutes of screentime in season two. the difference between their present-day outlook on humanity and the clear connection they had with human culture in the Job minisode is fascinating to me. if anyone wants, I could make a whole other post just about that.
