SS prison guards forced to load victims of Bergen-Belsen concentration camp into trucks for burial, 1945

Such such evils and atrocities have been committed throughout history. Sickening to bear witness to this photograph, but it serves a purpose. Let us never and I mean NEVER allow this to re emerge in the sands of time. As a collective, we can abolish such things before it reaches fruition. Nip it in the bud, start at home... challenge casual racism at the dinner table or football game, on the train or in any instance. Once they get their claws in, and their notions snowballs it's much harder to stop. It's easier to prevent evil than to undo it.
“An Avenger of the British Fleet (857 Sqdn) over HMS Indomitable as it returned from the Sakishima attack. 25 May 1945.”
(IWM: A 29317)
Dazzle camouflage
Also known as razzle dazzle, designed not to conceal ships from submarines, but to make the estimation of their speed, heading and range difficult, resulting, in theory, in a poor estimation of their position, and therefore, poor accuracy of any torpedo launched at them.
Implemented during World War 1 after its conception by the British artist Norman Wilkinson, but during its use it was never successfully proved as effective, or ineffective for that regard, and so by the start of World War 2 it had been effectively passed out for more conventional paint schemes.

Suicide - a generation problem?
Small Charities, Orgs and Legal Aid/Centers to Donate/Volunteer To
Last edited: 2/1/2017
The ACLU and Planned Parenthood are AWESOME and you should definitely consider donating to them if you have the money, but here are some smaller charities, organizations and legal aid societies that specialize in certain areas that you may want to turn your attention to and try to raise up!
Please Note: I cannot personally affirm any of these charities’ standings as I’ve only received help from a few of them. I encourage everyone to do their own research and check ratings on CharityNavigator and look for reviews online. Other tools are Diversity Best Practices and Great Nonprofits.
Want to help locally? Consider researching what your local domestic violence shelters, crisis hotlines and legal aid societies are and donate to them. Don’t have money? Try volunteering. Don’t have time? That’s okay. Do what you can in your personal life to make change and support others.
This is divided by issue/category. If you have a suggested charity, organization or legal aid society AND/OR a suggested issue/category, please message me or reblog with your addition and I’ll edit this post. Also, if you feel any of these orgs do NOT belong on this list due to malpractice, not utilizing funds appropriately, or any other reason, please let me know and I’ll remove them. There may be some repeats due to overlapping social issues. :)

this should help! i mean every single choice we make on our plate impacts us all collectively. we don’t need to eat, wear, use a dead body, we don’t need to visit zoo’s, circuses for entertainment, we don’t need to test our cosmetics on animals. please choose compassion on your plate and daily life. non violence. no sentient being on this earth deserves to be captured or their life taken away for your tastebuds, make up or fashion.
“It is often said that the first sound we hear in the womb is our mother’s heartbeat. Actually, the first sound to vibrate our newly developed hearing apparatus is the pulse of our mother’s blood through her veins and arteries. We vibrate to that primordial rhythm even before we have ears to hear. Before we were conceived, we existed in part as an egg in our mother’s ovary. All the eggs a woman will ever carry form in her ovaries while she is a four-month-old fetus in the womb of her mother.
This means our cellular life as an egg begins in the womb of our grandmother. Each of us spent five months in our grandmother’s womb and she in turn formed within the womb of her grandmother. We vibrate to the rhythms of our mother’s blood before she herself is born. And this pulse is the thread of blood that runs all the way back through the grandmothers to the first mother. We all share the blood of the first mother - we are truly children of one blood.”
