All the little things.
The nightmares still haunted her and although they had faded, she knew they would never fully go away. It was another sleepless night, she stared up at the ceiling and just let her thoughts wander. She thought of him often, but she knew now she couldnât let regret and guilt consume her. It wasnât just about her anymore, even though the first few months she wasnât even sure how to handle things. But he moment he came into her life, things seemed to fall into place. Maggie shrugged off her blankets and set her feet on the cool wooden floor of her bedroom and quietly walked to the door. She pushed it open and tip-toed down the hall and into her sonâs bedroom. She stared down at the innocent child. The one that reminded her so much of him The man in her life that stole her heart away even before he was born. Gently she scooped him up into her arms, siting in the rocking chair next to his crib. She held him just staring at her miracle her heart filled with joy and sadness a the same time.. âOne day Hershel I will tell you all about your daddy... I will tell you about the man who to me was a hero. Although heâs not here... I have you. You are my little hero now.. and I will always love you.â She whispered softly to the babe in her arms. She rocked him long into the night, getting lost in what perfection must have felt like. It was all the little things that made life worth living now. (Authors note. Both pictures found on google...
