I think the pace the relationships in TGG went is the most realistic thing abt the whole book. I mean at their age it’s perfectly normal to kiss someone after knowing them for less than a day. It’s not like they are official or looking for something longterm.

I’ve seen so many like which is worse debates with Emily and Eve and a LOT of people say Emily like what 😭. Personally I don’t like either but I just find it kinda crazy people say Eve was a better person.

I just found this blog and I've been needing to share this with someone for a long time. Okay, I hate, hate, hate when people compare Avery to Lyra and say that they're so similar. First, it just makes me feel like Grayson hasn't gotten over Avery yet and that's why he's attracted to Lyra, just like he did with Emily and Eve. Second, because I don't see a huge resemblance between the two. Some people say they're both smart , but please, everyone in this book is so damn smart and can solve these weird puzzles, and didn't have the same problems at all, while Avery lost her mother, who was the most important person to her, Lyra never endured such pain, and on the contrary, Avery never saw anyone commit suicide (her father on her birthday when she was only four years old), which can cause many mental problems. And that they are not similar in personality, except that they are both introverts because Lyra is clearly an emotional person, while Avery is a very logical person. and they weren't even on the same level. While Avery was living in very poor conditions and without a good father, Lyra had a family that loved her and, except for the last few years, I think she had a comfortable life.And I think avery is a more strategic person than Lyra and always has a plan in her mind to move forward, while Lyra makes decisions based on her instincts and the circumstances and has a chaotic mind

So sorry for posting this so late! your point is really valid. They're both seperate unique characters that deserve much better than being called the same as each other!
