no we're not gonna talk about how almost every jlbs character has coping mechanisms and they use it in an unhealthy way to push the pain down or make it a lot worse, such as sh, taking risks, swimming, playing violent, running, being optimistic, being sarcastic, self-loathing, being a little cold, building up walls, spending money, repress violence, using violence, taking care of ppl, using calculations, numbing feelings, repressing memories

When they first started dating, they kept it a secret at school... Thea clocked them instantly
Jameson would randomly show up outside her class and they would go to the terrace and play golf or toss a coin
One time Nash and Libby were called into school because these two were caught making out in the science lab... Some of the equipments were broken... Nash and Libby were mad...
Avery helps Jameson with maths and he helps her with distractions (totally because she overworks herself)
Xander is by Avery's side the whole day or else he knows her and Jameson will be skipping
When Avery finally settled on a sport - Tennis - Jameson came to all of her practices just to tease her (He was there to support her)
Every morning is chaotic as they rush to get ready and accidently wear eachothers clothes... Oren gives them a 'I told you so' look (He had told them to wake up early but they dont listen)
Nash slept in Jameson's room while Libby slept in Avery's room during finals week so that they actually study (Horny ass teens)
Jameson took Avery to one of the big highschool parties and they ended up getting super drunk and danced alot
Avery once dared Jameson to dance in the middle of the cafeteria... She learned that day that her boyfriend's hips don't lie
Avery teased Jameson alot the day he graduated saying stuff like "Didn't think you would graduate Hawthorne with all the times you skipped school" or "I am surprised you didn't fail on purpose to stay with me"
Jameson gave her his history notes just to make her life easier - His handwriting was so shitty that it took her ages to get a hang of it
Avery randomly locked in at school now that she didn't have to worry about rent and stuff... Girly pop topped the mid terms... She was smug
They used to randomly give eachother a book from the library and then quiz eacother the following week- this was because they had a scoreboard tracking who has better memory
The car they go to school in has seen very many things.
Avery, Jameson, Xander, Rebecca and even Thea after a while had lunch together
Thea once saw a hickey on Avery's neck and dragged her to the washroom to cover it up... Avery was surprised... Thea told her she owed her one for letting her get kidnapped
Avery in the school hallway loves to pull him by his tie and get on her tip toes only to mess up his hair, smile at him and go away. Jameson gets downright flushed
They enter all the chess tournaments the school has to offer and destroy everyone else <3
When she was still in school but he had graduated, Jameson would buy all her favourite snacks for her and ask Oren to put it all in her locker
Jameson randomly used to throw crumpled up papers at her. Everyone of them had a sweet or freaky note in it. She has kept all of them safe in a box
They tried to do homework together... it did not workout
Avery once found Jameson on the roof while he was having a panic attack. They just sat together and talked
Jameson when he tracked down the people who were putting the disgusting notes in her locker beat them up... he was suspended for a week. Avery was really very mad at him. It was their first huge fight
note: these aren’t that good but the fandom seems in a bit of titzy right now so i thought i should make these - i also tried to include most characters but i think im gnna do some on specific events
christmas is actual madness at the hawthorne house
savannah gigi and lyra had to be personally taught how to play the games (especially secret santa)
savannah and avery had a bit of tension at first after everything was resolved (everything WAS RESOLVED trust me) but as time went on they were okay
once in a blue moon, there would be a FAT dinner hosted and lyra loves bringing food from her own culture
rohan comes but him and grayson are always beefing - mainly rohan just ragebaiting grayson
lyra and savannah are always teaming up on rohan or grayson it just matters who they feel like ragebaiting on that day
libby will randomly host a baking competition and nothing ends well
avery is BIG on decorations and sentimental gifts
mattias always comes just from the persuasion of gigi
everyones always shocked when he’s there
jameson and xander are 24/7 tackling eachother just out of the blue - they could be sitting on the couch and they would be fighting
lyra and jameson LOVE eachother (let’s make this known) and jameson also tries to tell lyra he knew lyra was going to be with grayson - lyra always reminds him of the time he told her to go to hell so he just shuts up
one time nash left the twins to the responsibility of avery and the hawthorne brothers and the twins came back with a LOT of new words learnt - it was avery vs jameson, grayson and xander
there was also a time there was an escape room challenge and the teams were avery + lyra vs grayson + jameson and avery + lyra came out of there in under 5 seconds
graysonavery is a forbidden topic in that household and xander always tries bringing it up
especially max she will comment on edits of them just to annoy avery
gigi and xander need to be separated at some points
oren and alisa are just tired of everyone at this point
couples are always separated when it comes to teams in a game especially javery and savrohan
xander introduces a “harmless” gadget every five seconds
to this day avery still doesn’t know where is where in the house
savannah is always claiming rohan isn’t her boyfriend for the sake of it
pillow fights 24/7
lyra is always baffled at how big the hawthorne house is everytime she goes there
they take a picture every thanksgiving and it always end up looking weird - either someone’s talking or has some weird stance
gigi and max clicked INSTANTLY
randomly they would go on live to show the hawthorne family and there would always be be smth going on in the background
lyra never understood the competition in the games until she started playing them
grayson would just correct someone’s plan so well that it would make it worse
savannah purposely gets lost in the house so she can explore and find things on people
rohan always clocks on and follows
one time libby was baking so much things for a movie marathon and said if rohan and jameson couldn’t be nice to eachother the entire day, they wouldn’t get any
tradition to watch so many movies during one night at a sleepover
rebecca and thea come occasionally
avery gets oren and alisa on her side first anytime she plans smth
xander randomly would just drop lore that the tgg players didnt know - “did u guys know avery nearly got shot for her first few days of being here and it was our mother who was responsible for it?”
whenever avery, alisa and grayson are doing work, they need to have COMPLETE silence
no one knew at first knox and alisa were secretly dating except gigi
She would discreetly take it from his wallet and keep it with her for a week (her and Savannah took full advantage of it)

Grayson Hawthorne was a sinner and he had to pay for his sins. Gigi knew that and she was going to make him pay
He forgot Charlie the Cheese Pringles III's birthday which meant he had to make it up to her whether he knew it or not. She walked down to the doors of the foundation. She made her way around the guards, waving Grayson's ID card
Did he know she had it ? No
Did he have a backup to get in since she took it ? she didn't know, she didn't care right now
She walked right up the hall claiming she needed to use the bathroom, then took a turn around the corridor, making her way up to the black and gray minimalist office
gee, I wonder who's perfectly arranged office this is, she thought to herself before swiping his card and gaining access
It smelled like pinecone and something clean and that was the only clue she needed to confirm it was her brother's office
She slid into his seat, clearing her throat
"I would like the files by 9am sharp"
She mimicked his tone, all straight and cold
"Would you now?"
She froze before looking to the side and seeing Grayson appear out of a wall from the side
No, not a wall. It was a hidden room with a door that looked exactly like the rest of the walls. His shirt was wrinkled and hair messy
he slept here
"Good Morning to you" Gigi said, a wide smile on her face and Grayson returned the greeting before he removed the files and water laid in front of her so she could rest her elbows on the table and lean back like she did when she was writing stories in her room
Gigi leaned her elbows on the table and cleared her throat
"I have something to confess"
Grayson sat back on the sofa, eyes closed, arms crossed
"Am I finally going to get my card back ?"
"yes, well-"
"both ?"
Gigi slid his ID card on the table and his black card and Grayson didn't so much as move or open his eyes
for someone who got robbed, he's awfully comfortable next to the thief, Gigi narrowed her eyes before leaning back in the chair
"You had to pay in some way for missing Charlie the third's birthday and-"
a small smile graced Grayson's lips and Gigi couldn't tell if he hadn't checked his bank statement or if he was still half asleep
"I will make sure to never repeat the mistake" Grayson replied, still keeping his eyes closed, talking more soft than Gigi had ever heard him in his office while working
"I forgive you. You should also know I spent 5 digits-
Gigi paused for a reaction but didn't get any
"with Savannah and we had fun"
Gigi said a little too cheerfully and Grayson finally opened his eyes, a slightly bigger smile on his face
"I'm glad you two had fun"
"You're not going to question me ? ask how I stole it ? What I did with it ? Whether I spent it buying illegal catnip or not ?"
"No, younger siblings take stuff without asking"
Gigi felt something in her chest hurt and heal at the same time. She opened her mouth but Grayson got up, picking both cards up before laying a small box in front of her. It was packaged in paper with paw prints on it and a ribbon keeping it held together
She opened the box to a card and toy that seemed awfully similar to the one Charlie lost as a kitten. The card had Gigi Grayson written on it and was identical to Grayson's except it had cats ingrained on it
Gigi got up, bear hugging Grayson, who returned the favor, a little awkward at first
"say Happy belated birthday to Charlie, Gigi"
