I want to extend support to all of my friends and followers, near and far, in the wake of this election, because support is not and always has been pivotal in our survival. A presidency under Trump coupled with a strong republican presence is, without a doubt, harrowing. For those of us who are LGBT, POC, female, disabled, and so on living in America, now is an acutely daunting time. For those of us in other countries we are also sharing the impact in this, the shadow of the power that America controls growing darker over all of us. However, I want to take this moment to remind everyone that we have survived hundreds of years of oppression. We have survived a world with our very state of being as illegal, we survived medical, social, and political crisis under government that was just as ignorant, just as corrupt, just as prejudiced. We survived all of this together, and we will continue to survive provided we focus on strengthening our unity. Coming together, organizing, empathizing, supporting one another. Love and unity for each other is important now more than ever. We knew before this that our struggle was not over, we have a lot to fight for but we will fight stronger when we stop letting the privileged powers divide us. Console, protest, endure. To all of my American friends, you can and you will survive this. We all will, with one another’s help. We can make change still– together.
