The framed and finished wooden plaque - a South African sunset! All of the inside pieces are cut on the scrollsaw from 1/8″ plywood, coloured with watercolour paints, and the frame is tablesaw-cut walnut varnished with polyurethane.

The inner design was inspired by Making Dimensional Wood Plaques by Patrick Spielman, but the design (e.g. of the impala and tree) is my own.

Also, how did you so the blending of the one that says "please shut the fuck up"?

For that one I think I took two Tombow Dual Brush Pens, one pink and one darker purple. With the purple one I drew on a plastic sheet, then drew over that with the lighter pink marker to get some of the pigment on the brush tip. If you do that then write words, it creates that nice gradient effect as the purple pigment comes off of the pink marker :)
