‘ Suga-chan is very cute, actually, ’ He corrected with a laugh, poking his tongue out again. ‘ Mm, and what would you do if I said I would miss you that much ? Would you stay with me ? ’
He asks this airily; there’s no real assertion behind the words, though he wouldn’t mind terribly if Oikawa did actually agree. He ignores the smile, the sickeningly sweet and teasing grin, in favour of glancing at their feet. ‘ I would miss you, actually. I get… lonely, when the house is empty, I suppose. So a bit of company is always nice. ’
“Maybe in Suga-chan’s dreams…” It was ambiguous whether this was in response to Sugawara’s statement or question, but Oikawa sent the other a teasing smile to soften his words. “Just kidding~! I’d stay for as long as I can, Suga-chan. I prefer it when you’re happy. It certainly makes you look less drab,” he added, reaching out to poke the side of his cheek. Carefully pushing one end of his lips up, he made the other forcibly put on a lop-sided smile. “Suga-chan looks best when there’s a smile on his face.”
Sugawara, lonely? Oikawa could understand; Oikawa rarely remembered to spend time to call Sugawara throughout the week considering all of his other commitments. It was… a downside to dating him, he supposed. Volleyball was–important to Oikawa, for all that he genuinely did like his… dates? Ex-girlfriends (and current boyfriend)?
Huffing in return, Sugawara leans in to press a kiss to the tip of his cold nose. ‘ You better just be kidding. And -- Hey! -- I’m not drab. ’ He did his best to huff, but it was interrupted by his features being forced into a smile - which had him faltering into laughter. ‘ Fine, fine. I’m not really upset, anyway. ’
It’s true; He grins up to Oikawa, and leans into his side a little more. He doesn’t say anything for a few minutes, instead he simply watches the freezing air cloud his breathing. But eventually, he breaks the silence with a smile and a kiss to the other’s cheek.
‘ Sometimes I just want to sit out here all night and watch the stars. ’

‘ Mm, I’ve never had long hair so I wouldn’t know the struggle. ’ He grins, and leans in to press a kiss to his cheek when he’s poked. ‘ I always used to braid the little tassles of my scarf when I was bored. I’ve never really braided hair much before, although I sometimes would braid my mum’s. ’
‘ Either way, though, I think you look very cute with your hair braided instead of in a bun. ’
“It’s not supposed to look cute, though, I usually wear it up because it gets in the way. Besides, I-I really don’t think I need to look more cute-” He adds, pulling a face as he tucks astray piece of hair behind his ear, leaning his head back onto Suga’s shoulder.
“The whole point of growing it out was to look less cute, my face looks way too soft.”
‘ Yeah, but I think it's a good thing when you look cute, ’ he replied, happily using his hand to rub up and down Asahi's arm, contented just to be close for the moment. ‘ And braids keep your hair out of the way too, you know. Probably. Maybe. ’ He laughs, before shifting out from behind Asahi, and promptly slings his arms around his shoulders, tugging him into a horizontal position across his bed. ‘ I think you're always cute, though. ’

"You really should be in bed, you know."
❝ You say that as though I haven’t been in bed all day, already, ❞ Sugawara replied from the corner of the kitchen, as he waited patiently for the kettle to boil. He’s drumming his fingers against the counter, and glances back to Kuroo as though expecting him to say something. ❝ I can’t just stay in bed - I’d feel way too lazy. I’ve already wasted the afternoon. ❞
With a sigh, he turns, and crosses his arms over his chest. His usual demeanour is replaced with fatigue; He smiles, though it looks tired. ❝ Really, it’s fine. I’m fine to be up and around. ❞

‘ There’s a documentary on, ’ Sugawara suggested, perched on the edge of the couch and still flicking through channels. ‘ Or a horror film. ’ His gaze flickers to the tea, and Suga realizes just how tired he feels; He stifles a yawn into his hand and sits back, properly, letting his head rest back against the back of the couch.
‘ Honestly though, I might end up falling asleep on you if we watch something. ’
He smiles playfully, but it’s tired and Sugawara moves to pull his jacket closer, like a makeshift blanket. The couch feels empty, and he longs to curl up with Akaashi and watch TV until they fall asleep there.
Akaashi smiles back and makes himself more comfortable on the couch. If Suga wants to take a nap on him, he doesn’t mind. “Go right ahead,” Akaashi says and takes a sip of his tea.
“I don’t mind, so you can lean on me and nap. I can wake you up for the bed later.” In the meantime, he’ll entertain himself with some lion documentary Suga found. From the looks of it- the show might get Akaashi dozing off in less than ten minutes.
“Thanks, Akaashi,” He replies, as he settled into the other’s side; His head immediately finds it’s way to the other male’s shoulder, and he shuts his eyes once he’s comfortably tucked in. They blink open, though, and he adds, “If you want to move, just give me a shove.”
One last glance is cast to the television, before Sugawara’s eyes slide closed for the final time. There’s a vague glow about the living room, but i’s warm and comforting; he focuses on that as he drifts off, happily cuddled into Akaashi’s side. After all, there was no better way to sleep than with a bit of company.

‘ I would be so tempted just to stay there for days, ’ he murmured. ‘ You wouldn’t be able to move from under me. But, y’know, a nap sounds good. Let’s get some blankets and take a nap together, hmm ? ’

I have never met an admin that loves their muse so much and it's so refreshing. It's so wonderful seeing someone who genuinely adores their muse and genuinely puts the time in to making their muse realistic and complete. Yas, if you're reading this, you're so unbelievably talented and tbh I come and go from RP fandoms so often, but you're one of the biggest reasons I'm here. ‘ I guess so, ’ Suga replied quietly, shuffling his feet a little. At the other’s smile, though, he was convinced; Quietly, he slid his scarf off and hung it back up, along with his coat. Soon, he was tailing after Akaashi, though he couldn’t help but stifle a yawn in his hand as he did.
‘ Is there anything you want me to do ? I can make tea or something if you want. Or set up a movie. ’ His hands were shoved into the pockets of his hoodie, and he hums as he peers back to the TV. ‘ Or we could watch something on TV, if you’d rather. ’
Akaashi was happy that he managed to convince Suga to come back in. He really enjoyed his company.
“ No it,s okay, I got it. You can find something for us to watch, though. The match we watched today is over, so put on whatever you want. “ The water for tea was almost boiling and there was a faint smile on Akaashi’s face as he waited for it. He won’t be alone tonight. His apartment won’t seem hollow and lifeless. And it makes him feel happy.
He comes back to the living room and places cups of tea on the coffee table and sits down. “Did you find anything interesting?”

‘ That’s because you’re fussing, ’ Sugawara countered with a laugh. ‘ I’ll take it out when you want it out, but I think your hair would look quite cute if it was wavy. ’ There’s no shame in his words - He smiles as he secured the braid with a green hair tie, and once it’s secure he flicks it over the other male’s shoulder.
‘ See ? I told you I was good at it. ’
“It’s already a little wavy, though, and then it sticks out all of the place when I try to put it up.” He protested, scrunching his nose a little as the braid hits his cheek, reaching back to poke Suga’s cheek playfully.
“It’s better than I can do it, at least, I’m terrible at it, it always gets all bunched up.”
‘ See ? "Hey, woah. Don't pass out on me here."
‘ I’m not going to pass out, ’ He muttered, more to himself than to Kuroo; The way he sagged into the raven-haired male’s side did nothing to make his words more convincing. The arm around his shoulders was appreciated, as it seemed Sugawara was fighting just to remain on his feet - But he wouldn’t embarrass himself, not here, and not now. ‘ I’m just a bit dizzy. It’ll pass. ’
A bit dizzy was an understatement; The room was spinning round himself and his knees just didn’t want to carry him. Without much warning, Suga began to sink down towards the ground, soon ending up sitting on his knees on the corridor floor and letting a sigh escape him. ‘ You don’t have to stay with me. ’

He wasn’t sure what was wrong with him today; A strange melancholy had settled over him, and he wasn’t sure how to shake it. Suggestion after suggestion had been offered; Sugawara wanted nothing more than to drift out of existence for a little while.
However, some things just couldn’t happen.
Shimizu’s suggestion, though, was the thing closest to making him smile that day - And so he did. Lips tugging up in a small smile, he sighed, before nodding. ‘ I suppose that would make me happier. ’
