you know what i wanna know? where did “this band is back” come from

because they play it for reggie as if it’s an established song - something they know will cheer him up. its listed on the album as (reggie’s song).

did he write it? was it one they sang for him every time he was upset? did the band have a break at some point in the past where they could write a song with the message of “we’re back” or is it a melody they add words to as the situation calls.

(this also leads me to my thoughts on music in jatp in general, especially how it’s always performed instead of typical situational “burst into song” musical but thats a post for another day)

“Julie can never know.” Luke pointed at Reggie before he dropped the sheet over his head.

“Scouts honor.” Reggie saluted him before writing Ready on the white board in his hand for Carlos to see. “It’s totally me under there. You were never here.”

The little dude had asked them to help him make a ghost toaster video. Both Alex and Julie had thought it was a terrible idea and that it would draw an unwanted connection to the band.

He didn’t know how Carlos knew when it’d just been him and Reg in the garage, but he somehow had and apparently neither one of them could turn down a Molina when they said please.  

Luke was under the sheet because Carlos couldn’t read his handwriting.

This was probably a terrible idea to put out on the web, whatever that meant, but getting to interact with Julie’s brother and making him laugh with so much happiness was worth it.

As he jumped from one sofa to the next Carlos laughed so hard he dropped the thing he was recording with. All the Molinas deserved to be happy like this.

Grace is both horrified and amused to realise that a more accurate translation for what Rocky’s been saying is “shit shit shit”.

rabbot headcanon: 

One day while lounging on the couch, wrapped up in each other, Jack tells Robby that his family called him "rabbit" growing up. Robby thinks that’s funny because his grandma called him "Mishka" (aka little bear). 

From then on, whenever they see a rabbit or a bear out and about, they snap a pic and send it to each other. They never realized how often they came across rabbits and bears until they started doing this. 

Robby’s at a book store, eyes roving over spines, searching for a particular title. He pauses and smiles to himself as his eyes land on a book with an illustrated rabbit on its cover. He automatically reaches into his pocket to pull out his phone.

Jack's doing their weekly grocery shop. He turns down the coffee/tea aisle and spots the bear shaped honey bottle. A wry grin spreads across his face. He’s already composing the text in his mind as he reaches for his cell.

Sometimes the pics are accompanied by a joke (mostly Jack), other times a “thinking of you” (Robby). At this point, they've been doing it for so long, it’s often just the photo. An unspoken way to say, even when you aren’t with me, I always look for you.

very obsessed with the idea that alex is so use to how touchy luke and reggie are he forgets to mention to willie. like alex and luke randomly hold hands. alex and reggie sleep on the couch together (reggie is the little spoon). luke and reggie like to lift alex off the ground and climb each other and dig pile and just be very close and touchy all the time. and willie sees that. he enjoys knowing alex has friends that he’s so comfortable around and then one day the boys pull willie into it. reggie is the most obvious cause while luke is the touchest he tries to be subtle and give willie space but reggie forgets and ends up wrapping an arm around willie’s waist while talking, pulling them closer honestly he barely notices he did it until afterwards. reggie apologizes for not asking but willie says it’s okay. he’s almost embarrassed to admit he enjoyed being included and wouldn’t mind it happening more often. giving them permission to break personal space. which luke jumps at that and willie is pulled into living room wrestling matches and couch dog piles and hand holds and more by all three boys. alex laughs about it later on and grins widely at willie when he says almost jokingly ‘i share so much with the boys i should’ve known i would end up sharing my boyfriend with them too.’
