Since I've already made hcs about Lloyd, Misako, Morro, and Harumi's eye colours, might as well go all out.

Nya = ocean blue, Kai = desert brown, Cole = chocolate brown, Zane = ice blue, Pixal = emerald green, Jay = blue-gray, Wu = golden yellow, Garmadon = naturally violet, now crimson red

Bonus: I think that the FSM is the only known character with heterochromia = dark golden yellow + bright purple

cuuuuuters though the idea of nya having deep blue eyes compared to kai’s sunny brown ones is a really giggle visual to me

wait i'm not done on this topic cause imagine being the first spinjitzu master. ur the child of the worst divorce ever and ur coping method with the custody battle from hell is to travel to a new realm and create the entirety of the land there. controlling creation and building a whole world is basically ur version of angsty teenage rebellion where you run away from your broken home. and then you have sons (by producing asexually). and theyre some of the stupidest damn kids to exist. one of them teaches your fighting practice to a member of an enemy nation you've only kinda established peace with just because. and technically that ones the good one cause the other one was hit with evil venom that makes you evil and do evil things for evil reasons. cause of a snake btw. and also after your death you ascend to a form of godhood that allows you to watch over your descendants. you're literally just a guy that also happens to be god btw.

You know what’s really sad?

The fact that Garmadon’s love for his brother couldn’t override the Devourer’s venom like his love for his wife and son did.

Like, Garmadon has legit tried to kill Wu twice on screen (not counting the Oni Trilogy because Garmadon was willing to kill his whole family indiscriminately).

Sure, they had some nice moments while journeying out of the Realm of Madness, but that’s only because Lloyd was in trouble and they needed to work together.

If Wu hadn’t told him Lloyd was in danger, Garmadon would’ve suffocated his little brother with no remorse.

And it just- makes me incredibly sad. That the venom turned their relationship from one of love to one of contempt. (The venom took the small part of Garmadon that felt that "Wu always gets everything" and made it 1000x worse). I can’t imagine how Wu felt, watching his big brother succumb to darkness for thousands of years, growing colder and more hateful towards him by the day, until he actually tried to kill him.

(Edit: If you’re one of those people that blame Wu for Garmadon getting bit, don’t even think about interacting with this post).

Honestly? Nothing. He's bumming it up in the Grasslands all "y'know this shit mad funny... let me just sit up here a lil while longer."

Funny answer: The Golden Weapons. He can excuse them being fused with more weapons, shot into space, melted into armor, melted again into a diminished version of their original form, and evaporated into a dragon... but a WOMAN wielding one of his weapons? Why he has to stop you there. He didn't stay celibate, engage in mitosis, and make the magical macguffins that only the boys would have for nothing...

For all that I'm aware that the FSM being born of both oni and dragon is largely symbolic and that its heavily implied that he kinda just.. sprouted from their centuries of fighting or may have been a result of the source dragons, I do occasionally lay awake at night wondering about the logistics of a very freaked out oni and dragon getting at it

obsessed with the thought of Ninjago's Underworld being a metaphor for death as well, half because of the angst of Kai losing his baby sister to the literal personification of Death and doing anything in his power to bring her back to the land of the living (Demeter and Persephone and metaphors and all that). But also half because of the laughs, because imagine seeing all of that from the outside perspective of one of those rice farmers on Ignacia.

The villagers probably think that Nya died that day, and they also haven't seen her big brother since then, so they hear that he tried to save her and they assume he got himself killed by walking down to Hell himself. Only for the siblings to come back a few years later, full on ninja gear, manipulating nature itself and driving on mechs, and they're all like, "wtf, we thought you were DEAD, where have you been??" And Nya's like, "don't worry, I got better :)" and Kai's like "yeah, we've been living on a flying boat with that crazy old man who came by the shop a while ago, we're just here to pick up some of our stuff, anyway byeee, we'll be back for the next Day of the Departed"

And the villarges are like. A bit shocked but they shrug it off by the end, cause okay, at least this can't get any weirder :))

And then a couple of years later the siblings' fucking dead PARENTS show up---

I think Lloyd going to defend Harumi and him getting her on his side and saying she’s with them, this is all very predictable behavior from him, we already know he is seriously mentally ill and he’s not over her and he wants that cookie really damn bad, but also Harumi crystallized does a good job show not telling us that Harumi wants Lloyd’s cookie really damn bad too, she wants that garmabussy carnally, they would make the worst couple everrrrrr.
