With these smoky and flavorful ribs, you can have the best backyard barbecue ever. The dry rub brings out the natural flavor of the meat, and the slow smoking gives it a rich, smoky smell. Great for parties and feasts outside!
Ingredients: 2 racks of baby back ribs. 1/4 cup brown sugar. 2 tablespoons paprika. 1 tablespoon black pepper. 1 tablespoon salt. 1 tablespoon chili powder. 1 tablespoon garlic powder. 1 tablespoon onion powder. 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper. 1 cup BBQ sauce. Wood chips for smoking.
Instructions: Take the membrane off of the back of the ribs. Mix chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, brown sugar, black pepper, and salt in a bowl to make a dry rub. Spread a lot of the spice mix on both sides of the ribs. Put the ribs in the fridge for at least two hours, or better yet, overnight. Place wood chips in your backyard smoker and heat it up to 225F 107C. Put the ribs on the grates of the smoker and smoke them for three to four hours, making sure the temperature stays the same. Use BBQ sauce to baste the ribs with during the last 30 minutes of smoking to make a tasty glaze. Take the ribs out of the smoker and let them rest for 10 minutes. Then cut them into pieces. If you want to add more BBQ sauce, you can put it on the side with your favorite sides.
