Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped. 1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/4 cup breadcrumbs. 1 egg. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 burger buns. 4 slices of mozzarella cheese. 4 lettuce leaves. 4 tomato slices. 4 tablespoons mayonnaise. 1 tablespoon olive oil.
Instructions: In a bowl, combine ground beef, chopped basil, sun-dried tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well. Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties. Heat olive oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese. Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until they are lightly browned. Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a lettuce leaf, a tomato slice, a burger patty with melted cheese, and the top half of the bun.
