Jello Cookies that are colorful and flavorful on the inside and slightly crispy on the edges. Ideal for any occasion and enjoyed by both children and adults!
Ingredients: 1 box 3 oz flavored gelatin Jello, any flavor. 1 cup unsalted butter, softened. 3/4 cup granulated sugar. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour. 1 teaspoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1 large egg. Food coloring optional. Sprinkles optional.
Instructions: Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet. Put the flavored gelatin, butter, and sugar in a bowl and mix them together until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Mix the egg and vanilla extract into the butter mixture until everything is well mixed together. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl. Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients one at a time until a dough forms. You can add a few drops of food coloring to the dough and mix it well so the color is spread out evenly. Take small amounts of dough and roll them into balls. Take them off the baking sheet and put them on it, leaving some space between each one. With the bottom of a glass or your hand, make the dough balls a little flatter. If you're using sprinkles, put them on the cookies carefully. Put it in an oven that is already hot and bake it for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden. After taking the cookies out of the oven, let them cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way down.
