so i had a great but very full on weekend, especially sunday. I had high hopes for myself today and none of it has happened and i think i might actually be like, noticing a pattern of when i need to rest/look after myself instead of just continuing to do a lot. and now ive decided that its okay to have relaxed todsy, i feel a lot better. also very excited about going to see a greek film about a chicken tonight

do you know how infuriating i find it that i can always hear a contractor mowing the lawns of one of the houses (currently my block) even tho we are pretty much unable to actually use the fucking garden. Not allowed to put anything in it, not allowed to chain a bike, not allowed a bench. instead all it is is a fucking noise for HOURS

It feels cool to be "in" on celebrity gossip before anyone else. I ran into Californian Condor V9 and looked her up on the condor lookup website. It says her current mate is dead and she has no kids but I saw her with a new man AND a juvenile.

When I was training to be a battered women’s advocate, my supervisor said something that really blew my mind:

“You can always assume one thing about your clients; and that is that they are doing their best. Always assume everyone is doing their best. And if they’re having a day where their best just isn’t that great, or their best doesn’t look like your best, you have to be okay with that.”

Any now whenever anyone in my life, either a friend or a client, frustrates me, disappoints me, or pisses me off, I just tell myself They are doing their best. Their best isn’t that great today, but I have days where my best isn’t that great either.
