Armand, realizing that he doesn’t know how to exist without codependency.
Armand trying to prevent something for once and everyone hates him for it
Can a guy not save the world from the apocalypse?
When they scare you so much that you immediately fall back in line like they never hurt you, and no time has passed.
You feel like a teenager again.
you make the mess, i clean it up 👻
Did Armand dislike Santiago’s play because it was boring and had no roles for women (fair) or because the speech hit both too close to home and was so incredibly off the mark for him emotionally?
Armand at this point is nearly 500 years old, he knows what it’s like to live to the end of several civilizations (not to mention the fall of the Delhi Sultanate) and watch his world (as he knew it) fall apart. He watched Marius die, he helped Lestat destroy his coven, etc.
Did he hate the play (it wasn’t particularly good) or did he despise the fact that Santiago was basically musing on his life in front of him, and acting as though it was the saddest thing on earth?
I hate my Marius de Romanus.
I know capitalism wins by crushing your revolutionary spirit and you shouldn’t give in, but I’m feeling real bad here guys.
I love Lesmand because they’re both crazy, obsessive, manipulative and traumatized. They’re literally the worst possible couple and yet, would be so nightmarishly delightful to see on screen.
Not to mention the “Mommy-issues Lestat and Daddy issues Armand” thing, and how, in this one instance, Armand might be more normal than his partner.
What makes it better, I think, is that they both love other people, but they will always, seemingly, be around to fuck-over the other. This is the vampire situationship.
“I served him with all my heart, basked in his mercy, his worshipful mercy”
Me too Armand
I want to see more 80s Armand. I want to see more fabulously feminine Armand. I want to see Armand in drag, or just being a woman for Daniel (don’t even address it or say it’s odd or strange, we love a genderfluid vampire). I want them to have Armand talk more about the terrible things that happened to him but defend it because he believes that Marius would still love him.
I want to see less people talking about poor (or literally aristocratic), sad white boy Lestat and how much he’s suffered compared to everyone else because they fell for the Lestataganda. I still think him hitting Louis is gross, I still think him hitting Claudia is gross, I still think all his little micro aggressions and not really even trying to understand his partner is unattractive.
Romanticizing Lestat is some basic shit. (I am waiting for when Lestat says it didn’t happen and everyone believes him like that isn’t every white abuser).
I am aware all parties are evil and fucked up, I am also just an Armand apologist and am terrified I will one day fall for the Lestataganda. I also like Louis, guys, fucking sue me.
I’m back everyone, I died for a bit but then I heard Devil’s Minion plot line was happening and I’ve been revived to post about Armand
How do you lose everyone and just keep going on and on?
Vampire posting
But what if my abuser reads my book? What if he realizes that he and the guy in it have some very serious similarities? What if he says “nuh uh” about it?
Louis posting for real here.
I miss you please punch me in the face as hard as you can.
Posting like someone else are we?
“The first vampire capitalist, the first vampire pilot…”
- Armand, the vampire of the people.
“He looked like a boy, masquerading as a gentleman”
Ah Armand, and the terrible craving to both be treated as a boy (new to love) and the old and awful thing you are.
The trauma of being lusted for by older men your entire childhood.
fragile, but not like porcelain; fragile like a bomb 💣💥
This is so beautiful
