I think the "pre" and "post" parts in "preposterous" should cancel each other out but everyone else seems to find my idea completely erous

I get why people are talking about and enjoying dungeon crawler carl but woof. Not my type of book.

#i didnt really really grasp it until i started reading. the number of people that died in the collapse. the number of people who died in the #first hour in the dungeon. everytime it went to the crawler countdown or the episode recapped helpless people getting slaughtered #it was rough #i just really really cant stomach the whole 'making people fight to the death for someone elses entertainment' genre #i never read the hunger games for a reason #not to mention all the other violence and also just weird ugh male writing #theres a lot thats still compelling tho #it made me laugh a lot. the background details really piqued my interest. but oof im just gonna read synopses of the rest of the series #sorry just had to get that off my chest

I just finished one of the more confusing books I’ve ever read, called The Archive Undying by Emma Mieko Candon

It’s gay in the way Murderbot is, in that LGBTQ is completely mundane, and it’s also a sci-fi that messes with consciousness, but it switches point of view unrepentantly, sometimes its first person, then it’s second person

It also toys with morality to the point that I’m not even sure who’s the villain, if there even is a villain

The entire plot is moved by some form of kindness

I’m still trying to figure out if everyone’s a hypocrite

There’s just so much to unpack and untangle.

#its taking me forever to get through but i do like it #its good but dense
