Just watched The Drama with friends and I did not like it… idk I think the scenes that were most compelling were the ones of her as a kid and like actually understanding her psyche around the shooting attempt and the aftermath. Like the editing style was so bizarre and the cutting was so jarring - it felt very amateurish. My friend said it reminded her of short form videos where they cut up a show to put maximum plot but cut out all the dialogue and background stuff. Like it was so rapid moving through the story that we didn’t have enough time to sit with the characters and really build a connection to them. Like they didn’t really matter to me so I wasn’t invested in the story. Personally I would have spent more time show their relationship and dynamic and have the reveal in the middle of the movie as opposed to the beginning

It’s actually so insane how bad wage theft is - from solely unpaid overtime and missed meal and rest breaks a client had nearly $60,000 stolen from her by her employers over the span of 3 years!! That would be the equivalent of rent paid for every single month for those 3 years. Like people are poor not because they aren’t working but because they’re being stolen from!! These companies are thieves
