im one of the angels assigned to guard god's throne and i keep shaving a piece of wood off one of the legs so it gets progressively thinner and weaker until one day it will snap like a matchstick and the big man will topple from his seat of power to grace the ground with his holy ass. of course he's omniscient so he already knows this and will have to banish me from heaven when it happens, but because of free will he has to give me the option to repent right until the very end. we both know i'm not going to do it but the rules that define our very being won't let us take any other course of action and besides he made me this way, so really the joke's on him no matter what.

Pt. 3 of the oc prompt thingie thangs

Day 19: Super Embarrassed About Something- Antares, Shevette

The spiral first started when Shevette falls.

She falls and falls and falls and falls.

She falls. She wakes up. She is Dagrim.

Dagrim is kind, and curious of what life has to offer.

Temen was a self-proclaimed alchemist and thinker.

Dagrim likes Temen. She thinks he can keep a secret.

Iota and Antares initially didn’t go along well, with Iota thinking Antares was too bratty and frivolous and Antares thinking that Iota was too strong-headed and independent. Eventually they find solace and common ground within their contradicting nature, being each other's first real friend in a log time. Antares, not knowing relationships that didn’t have a power imbalance, found difficulty in trying to find a ground suitable for both of them, but they managed eventually.

Suffice to say they were very excited to be friends:)

Day 20: Goodluck Charm- Osmer

My thoughts on this are going to be relatively short since I didn;t really put much thought when drawing them- still pretty fun!

Day 21: Genderbend- Beena

Beena is a background/minor character in my world! I like giving my minor characters cool stuff! Mostly because I have a lot of designs in mind that I don’t use lol. I made her for a school project, though I don’t remember for what and where. Beena’s name is literally just the word 나비 (Nabi, meaning butterfly) switched around and spelt different. I really like her design- not a lot of changes when presenting masc! His prosthetic arm was coincidentally hidden when drawing the pose;;;; which is fine either way because I didn’t really have the luxury of line-arting at the time, with the wings already taking a lot of time. I think I slimmed him down compared to how they usually look like in their revamped design unfortunately… I'm still sorta bummed about that.

Day 22: AU- Donna: Witch Hat Atelier

I do have a WHA already made for ITSOM! Donna was going to be an apprentice of Rijeka alongside Lutha, and some other characters. Donna was a talented magician who was sent under the care of Rijeka to prevent her from doing reckless things. She’s rebellious by nature and doesn’t agree with the notion of hiding magic from other people. Lutha on the other hand was born from a controversial wedlock between a high-ranking witch and civilian, who turned into a Brim Hat. That part is hushed and only known between very few people, not including Lutha. Lutha wants to live up to the expectations of her mother, but with frequent art blocks and chronic pain, struggles to do so.

Day 23: Midnight adventure- Iota

“What do you want to do, Warners?” Iota whispers, her eyes locked in an intense stare. She is dangerously close to Jay, her skin burning in contrast to the harsh winds of the seaside.

Jay’s tongue is laden, her words drying out before it could even get the chance to speak. Iota smiles a strange smile, part mischievous and strained. Jay didn’t really think that was a possible emotion to articulate from the lines of her mouth alone, but the squint of her eyes and the partial pinch of disgust at the bridge of her nose lets her know that all things are possible with Iota. The great, beautiful star, Iota.

The question was rhetorical and stupid, what Jay wants doesn’t matter, Iota is an empire and Jay is just a soldier. So when Iota grabs her hand and makes a run to the dark road, she just follows.

Day 24: Character in an outfit you have- Rijeka

Very self-explanatory. I associate the deep blue sea with Rijeka, so I thought it’d be cool to give her the most sea-y themed outfit I had in my closet (not that I had much to begin with).

Day 25: Listening to music- Lutha

Things from here on out stopped having anything worth writing about honestly. They were just pretty drawings with nothing in mind.

Day 26: Another artist's OC

I drew a friend’s oc, but it didn’t feel right to post it here when they aren’t here to see. It’s on my instagram, but I’m sure everyone who reads this would come from there anyways.

Day 27: Cosplay- Cupid

I was really into Gravity Falls these days, and given that Cupid would;ve enjoyed hanging out with Mabel I thought it was a pretty good fit.

Day 28: With artist- Fernel

Fernel and my sona! He’s a tall fella.

Fernel is the cousin of Lutha! He comes from her mother’s side. Pretty decent in magic, although They’re more fascinated with human customs and living than he is as the member of a regal elf line.

Day 29: Redesign- Antares

The redesign was highly inspired by an already pre-existing design that has a similar sort of background with Antares. Another additional inspiration in this redesign was Lucy Westenra, the beautiful young lady from Bram Stoker's Dracula. I remember being captivated by her ethereal-ness when reading her introduction, and her eventual descent. She was a hauntingly beautiful character. I wanted to grasp her energy and image based on what I remember from her. Without checking the book- she has an air of innocence and delicacy. Won't be spoiling the book in case someone reading planned on reading it, but highly recommend reading it.

Day 30: Onesie time!- B.I.A

I’ve begun to associate BIA with the color yellow and decided to incorporate that in the drawing. The eye is supposed to be a reference of sorts to the fact that they have a giant eye in the cavity of where the heart is supposed to be, but it reminded me of Bill in the end.

Pt.2 of the oc prompt self-discussions thing

Day 9: Standing/Doing Something With Their Altered Gender Self- Seito, Shevette

M!Seito and F!Seito would not get along under the terms their actions diverge in the way they were treated differently. I won’t deny gender differences, I won’t deny the way they shape us, the way it shaped Seito. M!Seito has a lot of pent-up frustrations he doesn’t know how to deal with, and having grown up thinking he had to fix things himself in order for things to get better, that's what he did. He went through things alone for the most part, and in the times where he had to rely on other people he lorded over them and was critical. He was a man- he had to act like it. This sort of mentality softened when Sorem came around, who ensured that she would break some of these unhealthy spirals, but he relapsed pretty hard. Despite having an openly queer world. I do believe that certain toxic standards are still upheld as a reflection of the real world. F!Seito was definitely handled with more care and was burdened with the responsibility and Nature that is caring for another person. She’d be less clouded by her emotions and turmoil, and would probably treat Osmer slightly better. Only slightly. Like. I feel like both Seitos would treat Osmer marginally better if Osmer were to be the opposite sex. I don’t know why, it just makes sense to me.

Solomon on the other hand would definitely be more extroverted and focused on his public image compared to Shevette. In a sense he’d be like Apollo. Also more violent, but in a less sickening and straight-foward manner compared to Shevette. A remarkable aspect of Shevette’s character is the power she had as a woman, which isn’t much different from Solomon, if not more due to her methods. Initially Shevette was supposed to be genderless, if not masculine, because I wanted to heighten and highlight her as the epitome of power. But there is something so appealing about a female character in power. Unknowingly she had a lot of similarities with Makima (CSM) and Mother Mary. A matriarch, a mother. Someone you obey and love and adore. Someone who turned comfort into a distorted image of love, and you’re not sure if the discomfort you feel in her embrace was real or imagined, not that you can bring yourself to confront the truth or break from her arms. She is warm and beautiful, and you don’t want to ruin your fragile sense of peace because there’s no need to. She carries a bit of Huxelian in that sense. I have no transition of conclusion to speak of, but Shevette and Solomon would’ve worked together really well if they weren’t so distrusting of one another.

Day 10: Spotting Someone Really Attractive- Algedi

The seas were turbulent and sharp against the rocks I locked my view in. Their rocky silhouette breaking against the white foam of the waves.

In a supposedly solitude moment of wreckage was a woman. She had the same ebony chromaticity as the rocks I was so somber about. Her skin was achingly out of arm's reach, as I dare not to narrow the distance just to brush against bedewed silk draped on her bones, if only to capture the whole canvas that was her body.

She was the most beautiful thing I had the misfortune of witnessing.

Day 11: Reacting to a Spider Nearby- Throne

There is not much to say- Throne is a heavenly being with no interaction with the material world. Zir would be fascinated with spiders. I wish I fixed it a bit- like zir hair, and made more effort into making the halos look more like intestines. But it's aight, I can just do better next time.

Day 12: Sick Day In- Moael, Osmer

Maybe I’ll write a separate sick prompt for both Moael and Osmer at another time. Moael and Osmer would both try to deny the fact that they’re sick and try to work like normal. Moael does it because he wants to appear reliable, which being sick doesn’t help with, while Osmer mostly just doesn’t like to be taken care of or to feel like a burden. Fever varies and depends on the circumstance! But! If we ignore that Moael would be really cold while Osmer would be dying of heat.

Day 15: A Day at the Beach- Tharsis

The concept in itself was great but I don’t think I executed this one properly. Maybe given more time and experience but not bad I guess. Perspective and coloring was very off to me. Though I’m improving! There is a difference, so kudos to me. I will have to do more background practices and studies if I want to improve tho.

Day 16: Snow Day- Sorem

I wish I did better- but given the time I don’t think I could’ve done any better. It’s a very simple piece for the day. I wanted to draw Sorem with Seito in the snow, or maybe a particular scene I wanted to draw out for some animatic in my head. Maybe I will in a separate time.

Day 17: Battle Stance- Bridgette

Bridgette is a postal office worker alongside Aloma. INcredibly infatuated with their work and is a homebody. It came to a natural conclusion that she would be a mage user of sorts. There begged the question of would she even be in a battle stance, let alone a battle? The answer would be no, but life throws unexpected elements towards you and here we are. My main problem drawing her was drawing her body type and in an outfit appropriate to her comfort and style. While I got the body shape right, I wish I put in more effort in their outfit, maybe something more battyle-y? Regardless I wouldn’t say I’m unhappy with the result all things considered so it’s alright.

Day 18: Formal Wear- Shevette, Moael

Shevette typically wears a lot of loose-fitting clothing, or clothes that make her top body seem bigger to appear more intimidating, so I wanted to remove that aspect and give her more fit and light colored clothing. She is more feminine, but I think she has an allure that still makes her seem powerful, although not as patriarchal and domineering as she would have been.

If Moael were to wear a formal wear that suit his needs and personality, it would have lot of subtle patterns and hidden compartments, giving it a contemporary spirit that still has the elements required in espionage. In this drawing whoever I didn’t really think much of it and gave him a pretty colorful suit because I wanted to. The rendering is alright, but I could definitely work on suits a bit more.

Oc prompts for ITSOM with uhhhh my thoughts because I wanna remember

Day 1: New Clothes- Aloma Ryder, Donna Blanco

Aloma is a side character, and a very old beta design for my sona. Evidently the design was scrapped (though you can see elements of Aloma present in my sona, like the colored streaks and the pinkish hair), I still like the design as a seperate thing. She's a homoave, which is just the scientific word for human and bird mixed lmfao. Her colors reminded me of a pigeon so I gave her pigeon wings. Aloma works as a messenger/postal deliverer and has this academia/messenger boy feel, so I subverted it into a more mecha fit for the clothes. It only took around 50 minutes and really like how it turned out!

Donna has this instagram baddie and soft goth-ish vibe about her. I made her to be a contrast and love interest to Lutha, and has close connections with Osmer, as her dad and him goes way back in college. I wanted to draw her in preppy clothing, which is sort of a subversion of her character trope, but it's nothing crazy. This one was a req so I didn't spend much time on it.

Day 2: New Underwear- Ambriel & Giel

The day was supposed to only be Ambriel, the angel, but I couldn't help but include their twin Giel. I struggled to look for an underwear design that would fit them as I don't really think of what my characters wear, so this was actually a pretty good way to think about their personalities! Giel has a dark and almost teasing sexy vibe to her, which matches his playful personality. On the other hand Giel has a cute design that still manages to look alluring but also covers a decent amount of skin. Sorta. Well that was what I was going for but honestly it could also not come across as that.

Day 3: Checking Self Out in Mirror- Janus, Antares Scorpii, Osmer Brown

Janus has insecurities, but nonetheless thinks highly of himself. His charm has helped him smoothly insert himself in social events and times of espionage. You may often see him trying his hand at flirting with some of the high-class women during missions.

Antares, being a vampire, can't see himself in mirrors. There had been technological advancements made to help vampires see themselves, but before that most vampires had to see themselves through the reflection of water. The nature of these advancements are dubious- one of the main characteristics of vampires is to be cursed to never see themselves or to ever love themselves without the extension of another, so companies had to word and loophole their way to let vampires be able to somewhat see themselves. The moment these inventions are to be considered mirrors however the effects are repelled by the nature of vampires, and they cease to work. Tis the life of the undead

Osmer does not like mirrors. He doesn't like what he sees. He doesn't like what he might see. In this instance he sees both. How sad.

Day 4: Sleeping Position- Rubert Owen

Rubert is a pretty messy guy- and since I associate him with autumn I went all out with the vibe. I messed up his face shape but it's honestly not all that bad. His open body language is to express his brash and nature. Despite the vulnerabilities of sleeping, he still looks assertive, and also wears band shirts to sleep.

Day 6: With a Sibling or Someone They'd Consider a Sibling- Seito Ka, Marie 'Moony' Catra

Seito and Janus did not start off well- with Seito first meeting him after he tried to pocket Janus' money, only for Janus to scare the shit out of him by stalking and speaking ominously like an edgy 14 year old. Despite their clashing ideals, and despite being a weird coworker/friend to each other by forced proximity and circumstance, I think they were able to develop and pretty okay relationship over the years. Like any other sibling in the world, the feeling that the only reason you tolerate each other is because of this forced proximity, but I'd like to be optimistic and say that they would still like each other, whether or not the agency they work in forced them to. Good things end, betrayals happen, and unfortunately the now dubbed "2012 timeline" doesn't work out well for them.

Day 8: Attempting Something They Suck At- Atticus Merylnn

Atticus did not grow up with all the fun things and activities girls usually grow up with, not that he cared. He had better things to worry about (like his hair???). I've envisioned him as this unexpected prodigy in the espionage world, and struggled to find something he would suck at. But then I figured he'd suck at the domestic and mundane activities like doing makeup and getting a proper haircut (evidently). This was also just me trying to draw makeup, which thankfully didn't have to look good because he's bad.
