* Si doms aren’t obsessed with the past, in the sense that they can live their lives without relating everything to a single event (like, a trauma). They’re in good terms with their past.

* Low Si sometimes cannot let go of the past, sometimes they forget to see the good things of the present cause they haven’t overcome an event from the past yet. They’re resentful of their past.Is it correct? Txs

Yes, that is correct. That’s how mature vs. immature Si acts.

Mature Si: I have learned a valuable lesson from this experience and will not make the same mistake again. I’m ready to move forward in life now.

Immature Si: I will keep agonizing over this, re-considering it, revisiting it, and dwelling in the past, idealizing it and wishing I hadn’t let that person / thing go, because I will probably never find anything as good again. :(

I get confused about Fi and Fe . I don’t always know how I feel but other times I do. I can also at times be talked out of how I feel but not always. Sometimes talking to others helps clear things up other times I am more confused than before. It’s like a mix of Fe and Fi .

Fe and Fi are not about how you feel, it’s about how you make moral and ethical judgments about the outer world and the behaviors of people in it. “What is good for everyone” Fe or “how *I* feel about this and how it impacts *me*” Fi. Please read the EFJ and IFP profiles on the main blog for greater clarity. :)

An average-health level Fe cares far too much what other people think of them and will actively suppress themselves in order to gain acceptance from others. This can mean forcing themselves into unhealthy people-pleasing behaviors that are not good for them in the long term (peer pressure). An average-health level Fi cares far too much about rigidly adhering to whatever they feel, at the cost of being considerate of others. This can mean upsetting other people and situations through a refusal to compromise.

Think about how you either yield or disrupt. That will bring you closer to Fe/Fi.

I remember that you had a post about people often mistyping themselves as 358 because this tritype is often seen as "cool". But can such a problem occure with 268? This tritype is often called "the Rescuer", and as a 6-8-2 myself, I can definitely see where this name comes from. But I also can see that people may choose it because of this cool name, without actually realising that being a "rescuer" means not only cool superhero-ish stuff but also a big bunch of flaws which can make your life rather difficult and stressful because of your own instincts.

“Wanting to be...” any tritype shows the person who wants to be that does not fully understand the nature of the Enneagram. It’s not a source of pride to admit your tritype, but a public confession of the ways you are “screwed up.” It’s a facing of a version of yourself that you would rather not think about, because it exposes all your raw, gaping wounds and “issues” to the world.

Glamorizing any tritype is a mistake, because they all suck. It doesn’t mean there aren’t good things about them too, but each number’s coping mechanism is a lie they tell themselves that keeps them trapped inside a box and forces them into self-harming behaviors.

If you are a specific tritype, and are willing to look at what that really says about you and how it has hurt you in the past, then you know the pain of being one. People who glamorize certain types either are not that type or have not yet discovered their self-sabotage.

I mean, what is so glamorous about...

1: having such a moral stick up your butt, you become intolerable?

2: giving people attention because you want it yourself (manipulation)?

3: being so desperate for attention and approval, you live a fake life?

4: living a never-ending cycle of envy toward others that brings out a hateful disdain in your interactions with them, thus separating you from them?

5: being so cripplingly afraid of the world and your own possible incompetence in it, you never put yourself out there?

6: being so insecure about your own mental process, you have to let outside sources think for you?

7: being so afraid of pain, you become shallow and irresponsible?

8: being so determined not to get taken advantage of, you trample all over your relationships and often destroy them?

9: being a doormat for people to use and abuse?

Yeah. Not so glamorous now, are they? ;)

This is not a broken tornado sirin. This is a full on tornado warning sirin. The pattern is called an alternating wail. It has begun to be utilized for Two reaons. One, the normal key up sirin holds a note, and backs off slowly. If you are headphoned or doing loud work it can be hard to hear. Two, hollywood has desensitised us to the origanal sirin. It is offputting and loud, but does not create the sense of urgency needed durring an emergency.

the alternating wail was designed with a spin up and spin down, and half octive jumps timed diffrently then the patern of the primary wail. It is just off enough that it instantly makes you feel unease and danger.
