things i love:
-movie scenes where the characters dance weirdly together
-songs that sound like they should belong in a movie scene where the characters dance weirdly together
-sleeping on top of a bunched up blanket
-making inhumane noises to convey my animalistic emotions
-touching my chinchillas’ fur
-making ominous statements: “i like breaking my teeth”
-pulling on both corners of my mouth to make a funny face
-collecting little useless things, and taking them out regularly to bond
-getting sand between my toes
-the sourness of iced Welch’s grape juice that makes me cringe
-using a toothpick to pick out the dirt under my fingernails
-winning at rumikub (it’s the equivalent of scrabble in a Cantonese household)
-the occasional stuffed animal whose butt is stuffed with beans instead of usual cotton
-weird and unconventional yarn to knit with
-spicy instant ramen noodles with a fried egg on top
-wet ink on thick paper
-pen spinning
-opening red packets (they’re little envelopes full of money given to children by married elders)
-big hardback books that u put on ur lap to read
