But he's not here to be dumb, he's here to help Marcel. "You're funny," he says, fake smile plastered on his face as he steps a little toward Lestat. "But it doesn't matter who's name is on it, because it definitely isn't yours."

             amara didn't miss the gaze that rested on her for quite a while by now even though her attention remained on the thick yarn on her lap which she skillfully crocheted into form with only the help of her hands and fingers. "can i help you with anything?", she finally asked after she finally looked up and eyed damon.

He feels stupid, really, because he'd come to Amara to ask a stupid question. That makes him stupid too, right? Either way, he was hoping he could just walk away and forget about it, but she'd noticed him before he could. Damon sighs and steps into the room finally, wondering briefly where the hell she got so much yarn. "You know, you look young, but the knitting thing really gives your age away." Being a dick is always his fallback, but he wouldn't have come to her if he didn't want something from her, and he's sure she knows that. "I have a question, if you're willing to answer it. If not, I'll make you some pancakes for your trouble and leave you alone to...knit."

sure,   he   isn't   wrong   -   that   hope   can   agree   to.   with   the   truth   sitting   between   them,   both   having   done   things   neither   are   proud   of,   no   one   can   really   point   the   evil   finger   in   anyone's   direction.   not   without   looking   first   in   the   mirror.   “okay,   evil   queen   damon.”   the   comment   is   snide   but   with   a   hint   of   playfulness,   shown   in   the   way   those   devilish   eyes   glint   back   at   him.   “maybe   next   year   you   should   enter   miss   mystic   falls.”

That one actually makes Damon laugh a little, facade broken almost completely. Hope isn't the closest person to him, but he's been around them long enough to relax a little in their presence. She still terrifies him though, which he's sure she knows and takes glee in. "Oh yeah, I'd look hot in the crown for sure."
