Stranger in a Strange Land is even better in the unabridged version released after Heinleins death in the 90s. The original was already considered too radical in it’s time; to get it published at all, sections mocking the US military and laws had to be chopped out (and Heinlein was ex military). They couldn’t be added back in until he died.

That’s why this is so wild of me. Half of these were on the list of books we could pick from to read in highschool from year 6 till graduation. 10 books every year. Some of these we’d have to talk about during the oral graduation exam. It’s expected of you to have read at least some of these in europe
