Errors Accessing AO3

We are investigating reports of errors when trying to load AO3, including errors saying that AO3 is down, which seem to be related to the previous incident. We will update when we have more information!

AO3 is now fully down. After performing a software upgrade a few days ago, we've been unable to keep our server cluster healthy due to what we believe is a bug or issue with the new release of our database server software.

We're working with our vendor's support team to understand the cause and whether reverting or upgrading further will best resolve the issue without continuing the cycle of up and downtimes.

We do not currently have an estimated time for when we will be back up, but we expect it to be multiple hours at minimum. We apologize for the inconvenience and will update you when we know more.

I absolutely love the culture of my new job. All the guys wear business casual and all the gals wear jeans and blouses, and I, the genderless goblin, get to prance around dressed as the trickster fey that I am.

In honor of pride I’m going to tell you all the stories of how I came out to my parents.

I came out to my mom around a year after I realized I was queer because that was how long it took me to do my soul searching. We were on a church trip (ironic) and the group was complaining about The Haunting of Bly Manor because Oh My Gosh They’re Lesbians. We got in the car and I told my mom that I really related to Dani because that was how I felt, and my mom being the absolute BOSS she is was like “Cool, thanks for telling me. I love you no matter what. Should we watch Halloween when we get home?” (I don’t remember exactly how that conversation happened, but it was definitely something like this)

It took me another five years to come out to my dad, and a year of that was my mom trying to hype me up. I finally just came out and said it while we were watching the new Indiana Jones because I kept staring at Phoebe Waller-Bridge and fanning myself like a Southern Belle. Something about her shoulders just really made me go goo goo gah gah. Anyway, he thought I was joking and my mom had to explain to him no I was not and now we don’t talk about it!

Damn, sorry that got kind of sad. But I don’t care! Because I’m proud of who I am. Happy pride!
