Did you need a beta reader If you want it will love to have your manuscript
HEY! THIS IS A SCAM/BOT BY THE WAY
if you get a message like this from a stranger/a recently-made blog reaching out to you and offering to “beta read” your works, it is 99% a scam, and it’s been plaguing the writing community on tumblr for a while now.
>>>> I have already talked more in details about this here
I usually dislike grammar police because I think it’s silly. I also make grammatical mistakes all the time. But because these bots/scam are getting more and more annoying each day, I would like to point out how terrible they were at grammar for an alleged “beta reader” that would “perfect your writing”.
yeah i'm sure the beta reader scam bot would to have your manuscript - to steal it and pass off as the work of the bot's owner or otherwise use to feed into an ai without your consent
here's three drawings i made for the @hermitseasonzine shopping district section! check out the zine for all the other amazing contributions, and the rest of the section that @messiergalaxy31 and me collaborated on!! :]
I've been rereading the End poem from Minecraft and I wonder if any of the hermits who were close to Gyusha would recite it to his tomb? I thought that maybe they told him about the End poem and how someday maybe he would experience it, and know that he was loved by the universe.
The "wake up" part in the End poem makes a scene pop up in my head where they're trying to revive him, reciting the near end part of the poem, where he is loved by the universe, that he is daylight, that all that he needs is within himself, that he can begin anew. Wake up.
Idk that just popped into my brain cuz I couldn't stop thinking about your HCxNaruto fic. I keep rereading it cuz it's just so fun.
Alrighty, I'm assuming you are the same anon- I promise I'll get to the other pending ask but this one driving me crazy. This idea has been looping in my head for days now. This is so. Good. I cannot focus on the other points as this one is eating all my brain space. Maybe they revive Gyusha? I could see it happening as a one shot!
So many eldritch-god-beyond vibes-! And we love those.
"And the game was over and the player woke up from the dream. And the player began a new dream. And the player dreamed again, dreamed better. And the player was the universe. And the player was love.
You are the player.
Wake up."
You are the player?? Maybe players can be created instead of spawning in? This entire idea is driving me absolutely insane in an excellent way.
I just imagine an image that is dark, so dark, and there are the hermit's eerie eyes hovering around like they are standing above the viewer with the words "wake up" in the center. Reciting the poem is so excellent. Thank you so much for sharing this with me, this idea is incredible. I adore it!
If I end up putting anything like this in any sort of media I'll be sure to credit you the best I can. This is exactly the sort of thing that makes the brain water wheel turn!!
So I was once again checking out apotheosis. Turns out they have charms made out of 3 pots and 6 blaze powder that applies the potion effect, while its active it applies the effect for a variety of secs per durability they have 192. (A little more convenient than pots)
It also has a tweaked enchanting system. Using special bookshelves, you increase different levels of:
Eternia: sets the max enchant level (max of 50)
Quanta: randomness (rectification reduces it)
Arcania: increases rarity and number of enchants
Blazing hell shelfs (which are on fire) have pretty good eternia for mid game (+4). But they have a lot of quanta (+5%) and -1 enchanting clue. Very random. Might be funny to have mumbo use them for the ✨aesthetic✨
They also have kit books (eg "tomb of helmets" which only allows helmet enchants)
Gems
Apotheosis has gems most have six levels: cracked, chipped, flawed, normal, flawless, and perfect. Each level is better than the last. Some skip levels. They can be upgraded to the next level using a gem cutting table, two of the previous level, a catalyst, and gem dust.
Each gem fits several different pieces of kit.
^gem of the warlord.
You need to add a sigal of socketing to your kit first, which needs a warden tendril or warped muscle (from alexs mobs) or dragons breath for the other recipe. (Could be another motive for Gyusha's death)
Also apotheosis keeps summoning random mini bosses, they glow and get announced on screen (eg mister geron the wise) and drop bits of kit and gems. (Might be intresting to have one spawn in Inja.
Hope you like my little rant <3<3<3
Ohhhhh! 👀👀👀
Thank you for sharing this! I'm always looking into ways to expand the worldbuilding and this is awesome. Lots of opportunities for peril >:D
I also appreciate the ideas for the gems- I've been running over a few possibilities and this looks intriguing . Thanks again :D
On anon because of the mortifying ordeal of people perceived, but I want you to know your fic “You Can’t Take it Back” is the most scrumptious piece of niche crossover longfic I’ve ever read in my life. I’ve reread it several times and I have been watching your tumblr every day for more than a year now to keep up with updates/details. I have no idea how you managed to conceive of a fic that appeals so perfectly to the specific flavor of crossover/character interaction I have always craved, but it’s phenomenal. YCTiB my beloved. Love your long ass chapters. Peace and love
Omg?? Thank you! Reaching out to let me know means a lot :D
Im rereading YCTiB and I still have no clue who Gyusha is :') I've never watched Naruto and I can't find him on the wiki. Is he an OC? Please this has been on my mind for 2 years now.
Hello! Welcome!
Sorry for the confusion, he's 100% an OC. When I was writing the chapter, I needed a plot device and didn't want to kill off anyone we know quite yet, and so Gyusha was created. I do try to be sparing with OCs.
“Let’s put it this way,” Grian said, “suppose, Mumbo, that there’s an evoker walking around the shopping district. Would you leave it there?”
“I mean, it depends,” reasoned Mumbo, “is it part of someone’s shop? Is it there temporarily while someone’s transporting it? Is it leftover from a raid? I dunno, I’d probably leave it alone.”
Grian gave Mumbo a withering, dead eyed look reminiscent of the empty void-like sockets in his normal body’s face.
“Say it’s not anyone’s evoker and worse, it’s going to summon vex and other evokers. The shopping district would become a major hazard very quickly in this situation, even without hardcore.”
“So what? Strach is secretly an evoker? Come on mate, maybe this modpack is getting to you. It is rather disorienting.”
“No Mumbo, I’m right,” Grian insisted, frustration mounting, “there’s something wrong with that ninja.”
The slime clung and pulsed out a rhythm that echoed.
“He’s a part of that group that almost killed Gem and I, I know it for a fact.”
Mumbo’s head whipped towards Grian. “What?” he half demanded, half exclaimed. “What?”
“They’ve got this- they’ve got this system. It’s in their mouths and it’s absolutely rancid. I can feel it. I don’t even have to see it, I can feel it. That’s how bad it is.”
“I mean- surely they aren’t still aggroed onto you. Surely not.”
“They actively hunt us once they know we’re here. I don’t know why Strach hasn’t started attacking us yet, but I guarantee he is going to do it at some point. Doc said that’s how their AI works, and I’m inclined to agree.”
“So Doc’s confirmed that he’s dangerous then? But I mean, clearly something’s up. He hasn’t gone off and murdered Tango.”
“He’s looking for Etho, though. I’m worried that he’ll find Etho and then go bonkers- I think Etho’s his target.”
“Well, I’ve got some bad news for you…”
“What?”
“Strach left with True yesterday to find Etho in the nether,” Mumbo said in a rush.
Grian whirled around, expression thunderous, and shouted with dismay, “WHAT?!”
He took Mumbo by the shoulders and shook him rapidly. “Why didn’t you say anything?!”
“I mean, I just did? And aren’t you able to Watch people? I thought for sure that you knew!”
Grian slapped a hand to his face and dragged it down. “Uagh. Mumbo. Ok, we can work with this. It looks like he’s got False- True with him still, so that’s good. Here’s what we’re going to do…”
A wave of spambot guest comments claiming to be AO3 volunteers has recently been made across the site. They claim that there has been a data breach and that fraudulent password reset emails have been sent out. In addition, the harassment spambots are now accusing users of being sex offenders.
These claims are not true. These comments are not being made by real AO3 volunteers or users, and AO3 has not experienced a data breach.
These comments copy existing AO3 usernames in order to make their accusations seem more legitimate. They may also try to lure people onto other platforms, similar to the art commission scam.
AO3 volunteers will never communicate with you through guest comments on your work. All important communications from AO3 about your account will be sent via email. More general announcements will be posted on our official social media accounts or published as news posts on AO3 or OTW.org.
If you want to make sure you're doing everything possible to protect yourself and your accounts, our Policy & Abuse volunteers published a news post earlier this year with advice about internet safety best practices: Protect Your AO3 Account.
As always, we recommend that you do not click on any suspicious links or give your contact information to scammers. Instead, simply mark the comments as spam or report them so that Policy & Abuse can remove other comments left by these spambots.
If you aren't sure how to mark guest comments as spam, learn how to handle them below the cut!
As these comments have so far all been from guests, our advice is to flag them as spam to better filter them out. To do that, simply follow the instructions below:
If the comment is on your own work:
Go directly to the comment on your work, either by clicking on the link in your email or in your AO3 inbox.
Click on the "Spam" button to mark the guest comment as spam and remove it from your work.
Note: The "Spam" button only appears when viewing a guest comment directly on your work. This is because the AO3 comment inbox is merely a copy of the work's comments – deleting a comment from your AO3 inbox does not delete the comment from the work itself.
If you see comments like these on someone else's work:
Feel free to let the creator know the comment is from a bot, and that they should mark it as spam.
You can also report the comments as botspam via the Policy Questions & Abuse Reports form linked at the bottom of every page on AO3.
If you are reporting multiple guest comments, please submit only one report, and include all comment links in your report description. (You can get the direct link to any comment by clicking the "Thread" button on the comment, and then copying the URL of that page.)
If you're not sure if something is a spambot comment, you're welcome to contact Policy & Abuse for assistance. Refer to the original post for more information!
