Mimi stirred her potion, squinting her eyes in concentration. After a while, she looked over at Merida’s worried expression. She gave a soft smile, looking into Merida’s cauldron, whose potion had a sky blue color. “You are doing fine, Merida, it’s turning the right color.” she said calmly, looking at her own potion, which was pretty much the same color. “Now, five pinches of powdered moonstone, then stir 5 times clockwise…” she said, looking at the blackboard. She pulled a small bowl of the moonstone towards them, and add the pinches.
Exhaling, Merida stirred once more and took the powder into her hands. Mimi made it look really, really simple. But it was one of the hardest things Merida had to do. Of course, watching the Woodcarver make her potions before she came to this place, it seemed simple enough. But it was only watching that was easy.
Luckily the other's words had given her some confidence. Taking the powder, Merida pinched a small amount in her fingers. A few pinches later... was it five? Had it been five? Merida wasn't sure, so she put a few more in just for good luck.
Five stirs clockwise... easy enough. One, two, three... the potion was starting to turn green, sludgy. And it smelt like... Angus' stable after a hot day in summer.
"Oh, Mimi, I've... this isn't right..." Merida sighed heavily, slumping back in her seat, looking utterly defeated.

"Some say our destiny is tied to the land, as much a part of us as we are of it. Others say fate is woven together like a cloth, so that one’s destiny intertwines with many others. It’s the one thing we search for, or fight to change. Some never find it. But there are some who are led."
Elsa squeaked in surprise as Merida pushed her down on the blanket, laughing quietly at the smirk the princess gave her before she returned the kiss with fervor. As the girl sought entrance, Elsa gave in and parted her lips, sighing with delight at the feel of Merida’s tongue pushing past her lips and teeth.
Feeling bold, she stuck out her own tongue cautiously, exploring her partner’s mouth, amazed at the different textures and tastes. This was a whole new experience for Elsa and every move was filled with a kind of wonder. “That was—amazing!” Elsa breathed, when they finally parted for air.
Lost in gentle, cinnamon embrace, Merida could feel nothing but Elsa, she could hear nothing but Elsa, she could taste nothing but Elsa. Eventually, they pulled apart, Merida remaining on top of the other.
She laughed as the other spoke, "Mmhmn, yeh no' wrong, m'love," the redhead sat up, so she was straddling the pale-haired girls legs, "amazin'. Yeh more breath takin' than the Fire Falls could ever be."
The sun had set, and the two were relying on the light of the previously-lit lanterns to see, luckily there were enough so that both girls could see one another clearly. A light blush peppered Merida's cheeks, as she cupped Elsa's chin gently.

Willow smiled fondly at the tale, “Tricky little buggers, your brothers are. I guess you aren’t the only rambunctious rascal in your…clan.” the wisp said, trying out the taste of Merida’s word on her tongue. Used in this context, the term was foreign, as much so as ‘husband’, because the language was always evolving and it was hard to keep up when she interacted with people so rarely.
"I met your mother once, before your misadventures with bears." She twirled a lock of silver hair around her finger, "She probably doesn’t remember it; she was but a babe. Wandered off into the woods; I had to lead her back home. The forests are lovely, of course, but not the most hospitable place for toddlers."
Willow paused by a brittle fern and wrapped it in a curl of mist, bringing some moisture back to the dried out leaves. She continued after Merida, running her hands over trees they passed by. “What’s your favourite place?”
"Would ye want tae go see her?" Merida asked, turning slightly and heading towards the castle regardless of the answer, "Ah mean, she'd love tae hear about yer tales, and how ye helped her, ah just know she would."
Merida thought, chewing her lip, "Mmn, ma fav'rit place? Well, anywhere ah'm on Angus, ah 'spose. Or anywhere ah can take out me bow and just... shoot fae all the world tae see. Or fae no one tae see. Ah just love anywhere that's open, limitless.. free..."
Sipping the sweet wine, she looked at her friend, watching the way her hair bounced about her face as she moved. She longed to bury her hands in those curls, yearning to feel their silky softness…
She snapped out of her trance at Merida’s statement, scooching closer to her friend on the blanket, one eyebrow raised as she chuckled softly. The wine had made her bold and she cupped the red head’s cheek in her own pale hand, taking in every nuance of the other girl’s face.
"There is something I want to do as well," she said slyly, leaning in till she could feel Merida’s breath ghosting across her skin. Pressing her lips firmly against the princess’s, she sighed happily. She tasted like wine and sweet buns as Elsa was sure there could be nothing better in the world.
Merida felt a gentle laugh bubbling up in her, so she let it go, against Elsa's lips. The snow queen tasted like cinnamon, a gentle contrast of heat to her cold appearance. Merida moaned gently, savoring the taste and feel of the woman's mouth on her own. It was unlike anything she'd ever experienced before, and she didn't want it to end.
Leaning up slightly, the red head guided the paler woman to be laying underneath her. Pulling back, Merida smirked, and then swooped down to attack Elsa's mouth once more. She licked her bottom lip, hoping for entrance, to get a better taste of the now-addicting cinnamon.

Mimi listened to Professor Snape drawling on, nodding as she remembered what the ingredients and process were. “Okay, let’s do this step by step together, alright Merida? So you can get the hang of it better.” she said to the princess.
“Well, ye got any ideas? Ah just see plants right no’…”
"Okay, well, first we are going to need syrup of hellebore; just a couple of drops, and then we’ll need to stir it about… ten times counter-clockwise… okay…." Mimi took a nearby bottle of the aforementioned ingredient that was nearby, dropping three drops into her cauldron.
"Okay, here," she said, handing the bottle to Merida, giving what she hoped was a small encouraging smile. "Remember, three drops, Merida."
"Three drops, counterclockwise... right..." Merida gave a weak chuckle, taking the bottle and holding it over the cauldron, muttering to herself, she dropped the liquid in.
One drop
Two
Three
Stopping herself before she added anymore, Merida sighed in relief, "Aye, three drops. S'far... so good... wha's next? Ah.. ten times, aye?" Taking the cauldron a little closer to herself, Merida began to slowly stir the concoction, with hands shaking a little. After the eighth or ninth stir, she cast her worried blue eyes at Mimi, as if to say 'help me'.
//I'm so sorry I've been AWOL for a few days. Life's been hectic, and some stuff happened that got me quite angry so I had to just sit down, watch some Drawn Together, and breathe.
But I'm back, things are calmer, and I'm getting my reply on. If anyone wants to start up a thread, inbox me~
Elsa giggled and took a bun for herself, sighing with pleasure as she took a dainty bite. She had never tasted anything so good in her life and she smiled blissfully, finishing the bun quickly and licking her fingertips to savor every last taste.
"I am going to have to bribe the cook to tell me the recipe," she murmured. "These are delicious and I don’t think I can survive without them when it comes time for me to return home," she chuckled.
Taking the cup of wine from Merida, she raised it and said, “Let’s toast the future and whatever it might bring. I don’t know what we are and we don’t have to figure it out right away. Let’s just enjoy this time together,” she smiled.
"Aye, 'spose yer right!" Merida grinned, and gently clinked her glass against Elsa's, "tae the future, and this wonderful picnic."
Downing the wine, Merida looked around them, taking in the Fire Falls again. It had been a while, almost three years, since she had climbed them on her 16th birthday, and drank from the tumbling waters. It had been a while since she had been here full stop, in all honesty. The threat of Mor'du was gone, but the memory lingered. Pushing that aside, she concentrated on Elsa.
"Ah think, as delicious as all o' this is, there's somethin' ah'd like tae sample even more than the wine..."

Mimi followed Merida, looking around at all the other students who were staring and whispering at her. It vaguely reminded her of the looks and whispers that followed her during most of her first year at Hogwarts and some of her second year. Thankfully, by the end of her second year, the other students seemed to have found better things to do. When they got to the seats, she sat down in the seat beside the redhead, smiling at her.
“Ah hope yeh can rub off on me, y’know? Maybe some o’ yer talent will help me shine a wee bit in this class. Ah got a feelin’ Proff Potions doesnae like me much…”
She gave a chuckle. “Do not worry, Merida. the Professor doesn’t seem to like most people.” she said. “But I will still try to help you get the hang of the subject, okay?”
Merida smiled gratefully at Mimi. She hadn't come here to find friends, but if she could find a friend in Mimi, then she wasn't going to complain. Besides, the girl was helpful, and kind, and let the princess thing slide. What more could Merida ask for?
"Wel-" The Professor strolled in, handing ingredients out to every table, Merida felt the glare before she saw it, but she refused to cower. No mean stare could put the princess down.
"Today, class," monotone washed over all the students, "we shall be making a Calming Drought. Failure to do so will result in a fail in the class. Begin."
Under the murmur of the class, Merida turned to Mimi, "Well, ye got any ideas? Ah just see plants right no'..."
