Mini-Musing on Working Mothers
As someone who was a working mother back when maternity leave was worse than it is today and had to travel for work when my kids were infants and my husband was often away for work too and we did not have a Nanny and there was no such thing as Zoom or VPN, etc. etc. ec.
I vacillate between wanting to gag and virtually slap those who say “but she has a baby”.
She has so many resources at her disposal to do her job with a baby. She’s been at many events unmasked.
And you don’t have to take the baby everywhere so the quick back and forth across the pond that she’s always done are still quite possible flying business class.
But she has a baby insults all the working mothers who came before her.
Exactly. When my youngest was the age of Private Baby I’d been back to working twelve hour night shifts for three months with a forty minute commute and a three year old in the mix. Id been a mom of two for ages, no longer a new mom. By seven months you’re stretching it and it shows
